Woot!
Okay so I'm sure some of you will notice that I've got a new Link image up! It's to a Comic called "Aptitude Test" made by Andrew who is actually a former collage friend and roommate of Tim's from "One of those Days"
Speaking of which, if you just so happen to be fallowing One of those days, you'll know last week's page had Andrew in it.

In other news, we're actually gonna be out of the Flood watch tomarrow o_o! yeeah we've been under one for like.. what 2 weeks? I'm pretty sure the road's aren't flooded anymore but that doesn't mean it can't and won't still happen *knocks on wood* Also having some trouble with AVG, but I'll get that fixed soon enough hopefully.
Still loosing weight, and I think I've finally gotten a goal set in mind about how much I want to loose, though I don't really like checking my weight on scale. It's more how you feel and look rather than what the scale says that counts.

Flooding causes problems
The other day, a couple drove through various signs that said "ROAD CLOSED" with traffic cones all over the place. The signs start before the way to get to my house, and continues onward even to the second lake that's further down the highway that runs past our house not far from the one that we can visably see.
Apprently though, the couple didn't heed the warnings, and had unfortunately their car went under and they had drown. It's really unfortunate when things like that happen, but I guess they thought they could go through the flooded bridge just like they could with the submerged road we have nearby. They weren't even from town. The local police though have started using police crossing tapes to maybe stop people this time. What makes me mad is the fact that some people do this on purpose.
Around here the dirt-happy late-teens and young adults who own or drive vehicles (trucks, cars or even ATVs) will do what is called "muddin'" where one drives through mud puddles or in the case of flooding, large bodies of water on the road as quickly as they can. I think they are starting to patrol the area more just to prevent something like this from happening again.

In other news though, I found an interesting article about a particular group trying to push the subject that art.. ANY art that's created, if not properly registered will become what is known as "orphaned work" and anyone else can simply use it. A little bit of quoting on the article for those who don't like reading large amounts of text:

"Currently, you don't have to register your artwork to own the copyright. You own a copyright as soon as you create something. International law also supports this. Right now, registration allows you to sue for damages, in addition to fair value.
What makes me so MAD about this new legislation is that it legalizes THEFT! The only people who benefit from this are those who want to make use of our creative works without paying for them and large companies who will run the new private copyright registries."

I'm not sure if this issue has come up before, nor do I even know if it'll get very far, but the issue itself seems a bit concerning for artists. Anyone else have any scoop on it?

MORE raining
Yep. It's raining here. Again. I just.. dunno what to say about it xpx it's apparently gonna keep raining all this week, but wonderfully enough it'll be sunny this next week. *knocks on wood*

In other news I've finally changed my desktop wallpaper at the advice of Code after three years of having the same one, and now I feel inspired to make a skin/theme to go with it xpx. It's Okami themed >O>!

Speaking of games, a new Sonic game looks fun. Seems like Sega's trying to get back to the roots of what the series used to be. I'm not sure what to think of this though....Guess we'll just have to wait n' see.

so Drawings! yeah... I've done some, but kinda not sure what to do next xpx... Anyone gotta tutorial, or something in need of being made?

Flooding
So yeah lately we've been getting a LOT of rain. So much so that we've been given flash flood warnings a lot lately. Now there's a lake forming around the highway that sits next to us, and said lake is even starting to get into our yard.
Actually both roads that are leading to our house are both closed because it's not just one lake that's forming, it's two! Never seen it flood like this, but hopefully it'll clear up soon, but it's already effecting most of the town here. It has a LOT of dirt roads, many of which are leading to a lot of people's houses, but all those roads are flooded too. Several of those roads are in bad shape, so this kind of thing could be pretty serious given the right conditions.
And with the way the people here are, they'll probably be driving up and down all the roads in their trucks or ATVs.....
Anyone else been effected by the abundance of rain that's been sweeping through the southern regions of the US?

wooo things work
yeah so things actually work now. sound's fixed, CS2 I've managed to get working (dispite the fact that I still get errors at startup.. it works though so I'm not gonna complain) about the only thing that's acting up right now is the mouse. *sigh* seems like the button on it is starting to wear out... that's the last time I boast to mom about my computer stuff lasting waay longer than her's xpx lol She goes through keyboards and mice every half year. I've had the same keyboard and mouse for about 5.

ANYWAY I'm gonna be posting something up either today or tomarrow (ZOMG AN ACTUAL DRAWING :O) It'll be colored, and it's another one I've been meaning to finish up.
And speaking of which, I'll give you guys alittle behind the scenes when I was trying to figure out how to make water images. This was my first attempt messing with various plugins and settings.

Oh yeah I coulda had a April Fools joke planned out for you otakulites but I needed like a week to prepare xpx That and I'm not really big on April Fools >> I was that kid.... you know the one in elementry that you could sucker into anything.

oh and a youtube video of a DuckHunt skit I liked it alot.

WELL APPRENTLY it was just mom's computer, 'cause I seem to have no problems getting on here at the house. She likes to have a few protection programs up. I've tweaked my settings enough to where most problems like that doesn't arise.

oh yeah! I'm back! Hi everyone! Didju miss me?! Cloud's busy making a MSN theme-skin o.O which is actually a neat idea. she's working on a Starfox Theme right now. Once we figure out how to do it maybe we can start in on making other themes or something.

To Firefox users There's a few extentions here I agree one should have with their firefox.

now if only I can get my sound to work again.....

Apprently, whenever I go to log in, nothing happens. or it'll say I have logged in, but won't show my backroom. OR If it does, and I try to go into anything, it'll say I'm not logged in.

At mom's
So I'm at mom's for the week...possibly be back in like two days. We ordered my computer parts, should be in this afternoon. T_T I wanna play brawl... Didn't bring it this time....

Cloud seems to be interested in sowing O_o which is... unexpected but interesting. I've tried it once.... ONCE. a long time ago. Ended terribly.
ANYWAY hopefully I'll be more regular in a bit.

And now a computer story....
So, I was gonna play around with a few new goodies I downloaded for Photoshop, and when I went to open my Photoshop CS2, it suddenly wouldn't open up due to a missing .dll file. (that being a file that a program looks to for running other programs) Well I figured repairing via the install would fix this problem, which it didn't. So I uninstalled and reinstalled... no luck.

WELL. I decided it'd probably be best to try CS3 instead via the trail base for the time being-- Which started a problem.....

About 2 hours later after downloading it from the site led me to having an unusually slow file to open up. after several hang ups and lock ups, I FINALLY got CS3's installation running. Since this itself was slow, I passed the time via usual things. chatting on MSN, watching TV, and picking my nose. 20 minutes later, it was ready to run it's full install--greeeeat-- so while that ran, me n' cloud decided we where gonna play some SSBB matches online with some friends.
4 hours later, the installation is FINALLY complete. "Wonderful!" I thought "now I can see how CS3 runs!" yeeah... no I wasn't. because upon this installation, my computer started running horrifically slow, and it took 10 minutes just to open CS3 itself. "screw it. I'm uninstalling"
Since then, I've been having some trouble with my computer. CS3 for the most part has been uninstalled. For awhile there though, whenever I tried restarting, it'd give me an error saying that the computer had recovered from a serious error, things where really slow for a bit, 'til I started cleaning things out. Most of my icons for some unexplained reason decided they where going to be deleted.... still trying to figure THAT one out...all the links in the programs list on my start bar are gone (I use the classic style, not XP's)

Everything works though, nothing's been lost aside from that headache CS3, and I have about 10 GB of space left, which...is bad, but better than it was of 7 GB. I'm thinking about backing up all my drawings and just wiping the drive and reinstalling XP.

Oh yes, and also, I have a new avatar up! whatchu think?

SSBB O_O!
Yes! so I have brawl now! It's so awesome... so many options and ways to play, it's insane! INSANE I TELL YOU!!!

I'm taking a break today though. partly because cloud has a lot of homework. The other part is I really do need a break, and my eyes are rebelling by sudden amount of gaming by hurting.

In other news: o_o.... nothing xpx? SSBB has pretty much consumed me lol
