W00T!
I'm so happy! Inu put my poem as a daily quote! I love it when people comment on my work it makes me so overjoyed! She featured "Artistic Passion" Which is apparently the best thing I've ever written, because I have so many comments on it! Here it is, comment me up!
Through the pencil,my mind flows
onto the paper, my emotion goes
Shade away the darkest times
Erase mistakes and painful crimes
Color in the eyes of a friend in pain
bring about clouds, tempests and rain
The world at my penciltip, I own teh sun and sky
Is this what power feels like, what it is like to fly?
To soar above the highest peaks, all by graphite?
should I build my world in love, or crash it all in spite?
Few can truly hold this right, to use it without self.
Those with luck who get it, best leave it on the shelf
For such power can corrupt, even souls so pure
To hold a universe in your hand, is such sweet allure!
Even if that universe, so little in our own
can never be seen, if none are ever shown
Art is a gift, to people who can just enjoy
not just those well-to-do, just a common girl or boy.
So look around and appreciate, what many fight to make
those who struggle to catch an eye, or give a breath to take
Michelangelo took the risk, painted cielings and more
if he stood aside, hed have painted the Sistine floor.
an artist takes a chance, to corporealize their heart
read paintings like a book, a multifaceted art.
Layers to a drawing,both shaded dark and plain
without a source of outlet, an artist goes insane.
So look with heart and eyes, learn to feel the grace
Forget about the comments, look art deep in the face
For in each heart there is, a skill for interpretation
Art is to be enjoyed, meanings for consideration
So give the world a chance, give art some time
with a steady hand and inspiration, all can be sublime
