floating heads...
So I've come to notice that most of my drawings start as floating heads placed at whatever part of the page suits my fancy at the time. I wonder why that is. I just sort of start doodling, and then before I know it, the floating head has shoulders and a body... I feel a little silly about that, because I think it would be better to sit down and plan ahead of time what I want to draw, but even thinking that way, most of the time it ends up that I'll doodle a head while thinking about something else entirely to get my juices flowing and before I know what's happening I'm inking and coloring and whatever I was thinking about has been forgotten. That's such a counter-productive way of doing things! Sad. Well, I guess it can't be helped if I've already gotten into the habit of it though.
