Ugh...I hate road trips!! I think I got jet lag. Can you even get jet lag from riding in a car? OH well, I think I did!
But it was so worth it! I'm finally done with my stupid finals and I actually think I did pretty well. Especially considering that I only studied for one of them. ^.^'
It won't all be fun and games for me this break though. I have to work... -_-'
Someone remind me again why I want to work during my Christmas break. Oh, right, the money! That's it. That's what makes it all worth while! That and I actually enjoy my job. Odd, I know.
Well, I've got to run my little sis to work in a few minutes, so I've got to go for now!

Well, it's been forever since I last posted. Sorry! I blame finals. Luckily, I only have 2 left! YAY! Unfortunately, they're my hardest ones...Chemistry and Biology lectures. Yay rah. I'm not really looking forward to it. But after they're done, I'm homeward bound!
After I get home though, I'll be working most of my Christmas break. It won't be too bad though. I like my job back home, and the money will be really nice! Especially if I work Christmas Eve again. Yay, time and a half!! ^.^ My boss said she'll need the extra workers, so I'll probably get a decent amount of hours too! Is it odd that I'm looking forward to working?
Sooo...I wasn't feeling so well this morning, so I stayed in bed all day! I played Final Fantasy Tactics on my PSP..I got it for my bday! And I watch a bunch of TV. Don't ask me what I watched...I don't remember! I channel surfed all day. ^.^
Well, I hope everyone does/did well on your final/mid-term exams! Best of luck to those who aren't finished yet!
Also, I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Because Heaven only knows when I'll be able to get back on here again!

Happy Birthday to ME!
Hello All!
If you couldn't tell, today is my birthday!! Today I officially start on my last 366 days as a teenager. 2008 is a leap year!^.^ Kinda sad if you think about it. I feel so old sometimes though... Especially when I consider the fact that I have a 1 year old little brother... I'm 18 years older than him, just like my parents are 18 years older than me! Weird, huh?
Um, let's see...
Today we got some awesome pizza in my Biology Lab. It was because today was the last day in lab. I like to pretend it was for my bday though. ^.^
I have no idea what place delivered it, but it was soooo good. It was thin crust and was cut up into little squares...I had like 8 pieces... ^.^'
My first final is on December 6. That's also my Dad's birthday! We were almost born on the same day...but I was actually supposed to be born in February. Yup, 2 months premature. I barely weighed 2lbs. Now look at me! I'm scarfing down 8 pieces of pizza!
Finally, I want to thank Roxas07 for the awesome birthday presents!! You are the best! I'm still wearing that wristband too. ^.^ If you ever thought that I wasn't a fangirl, I've just shattered all your doubts! ^.^

Well, first I want to thank Homsar, Alphonse13, and Roxas07 for your concern about my step-dad's father. They let him come home yesterday, but this morning he slipped into a coma and it's only a matter of time now. I used to be pretty close to him, but we drifted apart as I got older, but it's still kind of emotional if I'm around his family.
I know it's cruel to say this, but I'm sort of glad I won't be able to make it to the funeral. I have finals, but the last funeral I was at was MY grandfather's. I was 4, but it was rough for me. I don't think I could handle going to another one.
But things will have calmed down for Christmas, I'm sure. It'll just be a bit different this year. I can't wait for it though. I'm excited about going home and seeing my family again. Plus, the presents don't hurt! ^.^'
My mom, 2 of my aunts, and my little sister are coming up here tomorrow for my bday. It's December 4. I'll be 19! My last year as a teenager...^.^
We're going to go shopping at the huge mall downtown and then we're going out to a restaurant called The Cheesecake Factory. I've never been, but I heard it's amazing. And I absolutely LOVE cheesecake!! I'm pretty excited. One of my best friends has her birthday on December 3. We're like 10-11 hours apart from each other. She's coming with us and she got me a present. But I don't know what it is and it's driving me NUTS!!! But I'll find out tomorrow! YAY!
Well, I found out today that I have a chemistry exam tomorrow morning. Bright and early at 9am! yah freaking rah.... Can you tell how excited I am? ^.^ So yup, I'll be studying for that tonight for sure! I need a good grade in that class even though I don't like it.

Well, Thanksgiving was full of drama for me. It started out with me rushing off to the hospital the moment I got home. My step-dad's father was in the hospital apparently. They thought he'd be fine. But then Thanksgiving morning I'm jerked awake by my little sister-she's 16-demanding that I get up and drive to the hospital again. Apparently he'd taken a turn for the worst and they were calling the entire family to the hospital. It was horrible watching everyone crying and being all depressed.
Luckily, they called us again Friday and said that he was doing much better and they finally took him out of ICU. Thank God!
So, hopefully Christmas break will be better than this break.
Um, things are finally winding down up here. Everyone is getting ready for finals and Christmas break. I can't wait!! I finally had a day without homework for the first time in months! I was so excited! So I played my PS2 for the first time in months too! ^.^

THANKSGIVING!!!
I'm so ready for Thanksgiving break! It's only 5 days, but I'm going to enjoy it. I have a total of 4 Thanksgivings to go to. 3 of them are on Thanksgiving day too! >_< I'm going to be sooo sick Friday... I'll be swearing to never eat again. But I will of course. I like food too much!
Oh! This Sunday I'm going to a spot shoot with my dad and my little sister. They've won a couple rounds, including a recent one where they won a Thanksgiving turkey! I doubt I'll win--no depth perception kinda does that to you--and I've never shot a gun other than a paintball gun before. It'll be so much fun though! I can't wait!
Unfortunately I've got homework to do over Thanksgiving break. >_< But, it has to be done! The end of the semester is coming up fast and it can't get here quick enough for me!
Um, that's about it for now actually.

Waiting for Wednesday
Sorry I haven't posted in forever. Too much going on right now. Every teacher seems to think that they must either give us a test or have a paper due right before Thanksgiving. But, only two days of class next week! Wednesday, it's back home to visit family. And then it's Thanksgiving!! One of my favorite holidays ever!! I'm going to eat myself sick! ^.^
Well, let's see...I set the smoke detector off again...
This time I was trying to fry fish. Yeah...it didn't work so well. But nothing was burning...which was kind of odd. But, I think I'll stick to baking the fish. It's better for you anyway. Luckily, I was home alone again.
One of my roommates up here is moving out after the fall semester is over. She doesn't like it up here, so she's moving back home. Just yesterday, I met the girl who might take her place. She seems nice. And I really hope she is, because I'll be the one with their room right next door to hers!

Man, it's been a week since I last posted? SORRY! I blame the giant stack of homework in the corner...
Everyone seems to be piling on the tests and papers right before Thanksgiving, so it's been kinda hectic to say the least.
Hmm, oh, I got an A on my last Biology test! YAY! I've currently got a B in the class, but I'm hoping to bring it up to an A before the end of the semester...I'm not entirely sure it's possible anymore... *sigh*
Last weekend was my little brother's birthday! He turned 1 this year. It was cute. He actually ate the cake right! Meaning he smeared half of it on his face and dropped the other half in his lap. ^.^
I nearly passed out trying to blow up a giant beach ball though...then they made me deflate it after the party...all that work for nothing...so sad... But I had fun! And I can't wait for Thanksgiving so I can go back home again! A week from today is my last day in class before break! YAY!

I nearly burned down my apartment building today...
Not really, but I did set off the fire alarm. My ears are still ringing... See, I was fixing spaghetti and garlic toast for dinner. I had the bread all cooked, but I wanted the crust to be a little crispy, so I but it on broil. I only meant for it to be on there for like a minute, but I got distracted stirring the noodles and sauce and what not and I kind of forgot about the bread....til the smoke alarm started going off....Yep, I burnt my garlic toast to a crisp. It was awful, plus I think I nearly went deaf trying to figure out how to turn the alarm off. Turns out you CAN'T turn it off. >_< Luckily, I had more garlic toast, so I got to eat some anyway! Yay! ^.^
Hmmm, it's been a while since I last posted...sorry everyone. Too much school work! Oh, got my chem test grade. I got a 74%, which I believe is a low B, and apparently is very good for this particular test...a 74%! That gives you an idea of how my chem class is. Next semester I've got a biology class where a 75% is an A. Yeah, shocked me too. I'm not looking forward to this class at all.
Oh! My baby brother James turns 1 year old Friday! I'm going back home to visit so I can be there for his party. It's crazy, I'm almost 18 years older than he is. Even weirder, if I'd had a child at the same age that my parents had me, it'd be about the same age as my little brother. I think that kinda freaked my parents out when they realized that. ^.^
It's movie night tomorrow with my friend Esther. We're watching The Covenant. Is it any good? It's yet another movie I've never seen. I think I live under a rock...at least that's what my friend tells me. :) And she's going to make chocolate chip cookies! YUMMY! It's going to be so fun! And even better, I've only got 1 class tomorrow!

 Rock Music and Halloween
What more can you want? Last night, All Hallows Eve, one of my best friends and I went to the Three Days Grace Concert in Fort Wayne Indiana. That's about 2.5 hours from where I go to college. We, uh, made a minor "detour" at one point...as in, we got lost... It was my fault too...stupid exit signs! >_<
Anyway, after driving for hours we finally get to where it's being held. The place is massive! We both bought a concert t-shirt. I got Three Days Grace, she got Breaking Benjamin-they were on of the opening acts. Later I came back and got a super-cool Breaking Benjamin messenger bag that now doubles as my purse and backpack!
A band called Red opened the whole thing. You've probably heard their song "Breathe Into Me". It's pretty good, and overall, they're not bad. Then came Seether. Seether rocks! They played Gasoline-great song-as well as Remedy and Broken. They played another, but I'd never heard of it. It was called Needles, I think.
After Seether came Breaking Benjamin! Yay! I love them. They played Diary of Jane, Breath, Until the End, So Cold, and a couple other too. They were so cool. But! Then came the main attraction, and one of my favorite bands of all time: THREE DAYS GRACE!!! They freaking rocked!!! Amidst Pain, I Hate Everything About You, Just Like You, Home and Scared, came the BEST concert song-and one of my faves-RIOT!! It was crazy! Everyone was screaming the words and jumping up and down to the music. My friend and I were right there with them too. I've never had so much fun!
Oh, and all of the performers were dressed up! It was Halloween after all. It may have been my first concert, but I think it's the best I'll ever see. Then we drove all the way back to our apartments-we live on campus. I didn't sleep until about 2:15-ish in the morning. Then I got right back up at 8am. Five and a half hours of sleep, and I'm STILL awake! I've got class again at 8am on Friday too...I'm going to crash and burn Friday night though. I'll be dead to the world at about 7pm MyO time, I'll bet.
So, that's what I've been up to!
