Happy Birthday Roxas07!!





I'd sing the song, but you'd all probably go deaf. :) But I want everyone to know that today, Tuesday October 30th, is one of my best friends' birthdays! Everyone go comment on his post and wish him a happy birthday!

Anyway, now that I've said my piece...
Did anyone else panic like I did when the site first went down the other day? I was frantic because I thought I'd broken my computer again...my and electronics don't get along anyway, so there's no telling what I could've done to it. But thankfully, it's up and running again. Yay!

Hmmm, this is going to be a hectic week! I've got two projects I've got to work on, both of which I'm in charge of...that's what I get for taking the initiative...plus all my regular homework which seems to keep piling up on me... BUT! Wednesday night it's the Three Days Grace concert!! YAY!! I'm so excited! It'll be blast! Unfortunately, that also means I'll be getting home at about 3-4am...I'm going to be dead on Thursday! >_< But it'll be worth it!

We scheduled our classes for the Spring semester already. All my classes went through, so I've got no classes on Fridays! 3 day weekends every week! I can't wait. I'll be taking a psychology class, which I've always wanted to take. I hope it's as fun as I've heard. Just watch, I'll get the boring professor who likes to assign group projects...*knock on wood*

Well, sleep is beckoning, so I'll end this now. I've got to be up again in about 7 hours.

Wow, the last time I posted was Sunday? I've been swamped lately with projects, tests, and papers, so blame my school! So yep, here I am again-just like I promised, Roxas!

I went to a talk today called "The Legacy of Frankenstein". It was about regenerative biology, cloning, stem cells, you name it! It was actually pretty interesting, even if it was an hour long. Plus, I get extra credit in Biology for it! YAY!

At work today I actually got to do actual science! I work in a medical lab on campus, but most of the time I'm mixing gels and washing dishes. But today! Today I got to do a gel purification and set up some plates for e.coli to grow in. It was fun, but I was terrified I'd screw something up. I hope I didn't, but I won't know until probably Friday when I go into work again.

Also at work, I was melting a bottle full of LB broth, to make the plates, and it was boiling inside the bottle, so I took it out of the microwave and began to gently swirl the liquid around to try and make it homogenous-uniform throughout, no clumps of material. And while I was swirling, the hot bubbles suddenly popped...right in my face. It was not fun. It didn't hurt too badly, but it surprised me so much that I almost dropped the bottle! Luckily I didn't, but it was a close call.

So yeah, it's FREEZING up here! Well, maybe not freezing-it's been in the 50s-but to a cold-natured person like me, it's really cold. Anyone else suffering through a cold snap? I envy anyone who still has warm weather...

Well, I've got quite a bit of homework to do, so I've got to get out of here.

I played Guitar Hero for the first time last night. It was soooo much fun!! I think I did alright for my first attempt, but I watched one of my friends play some of the harder songs. Let's just say I have a whole new respect for guitarists!

Spent half the day shopping yesterday...I don't really like shopping, but I had to do it. I went to Border's with my friend and picked up a couple of books. They're by a guy named Brandon Sanderson, and I recommend them to anyone who likes a good read. They are fantasy, but it's some of the best I've read in a while. He only has 3 books out, but they're awesome!

Hehe, and yes, Roxas07, you ARE the friend with the birthday coming up I mentioned last time. Who else would it be? ^.^

Well, I've got some homework to do, so I'll end this for now.

Yay for Fridays!





I live for the weekends, I swear I do. Sleepy Sunday and Saturday too! haha, I rhymed! Anyway.
To those I tagged, you just have to include the same information that I did, but you can add more if you like. Thanks again to everyone who commented!

Hm, let's see. My aunt is getting me my Magic Key mod chips this weekend. Well, she's ordering them anyway. I hope they get here before my birthday or I won't be able to play my tresured KH2 FM+!! The game itself is at home with my mom...3 hours away...but she's going to take a picture of it with her phone and send it to me so I can verify that it's the right game! That'd suck if it wasn't...

Ooh, this month can't go by fast enough! At the end of October are not only Halloween, but one of my best friend's birthdays, AND the Three Days Grace & Breaking Benjamin Concert! And I'M going! I LOVE those two bands. Seether is going to be there too, but TDG and BB are better in my opinion. This'll be my FIRST concert, so I'm pretty excited!

Funniest thing I've done: Um, wow, I don't know. But once while I in class, I was sitting on a desk top talking to one of my friends. Another friend came up behind me and I didn't see him. He smacked his hands together right by my ear. I was so startled that I screamed, jumped up, but had my legs wrapped around the leg of the desk. So I fell into my friend I was talking to, hit the ground, pulled the desk I was sitting on down on top of me, and knocked at least 3 other desks down in the process...I still haven't heard the end of that...

I LOVE Wednesdays!





I only have one class on Wednesdays, so I love them! Plus when I go to work, there's not a whole lot to do most of the time so I get to play on the computer...which is what I'm doing now actually...

Hmm, got another Naruto tin. This time it was Naruto himself. Now all I need are Kakashi-which I'm almost positive my mom is getting me for Christmas-and Gaara! Yay! I've got half the Quest for Power previews now!
Anyway, I pulled Shikamaru (flexability)! Yay! For anyone who doesn't play the TCG, let's just say it's a pretty good Super Rare card and it rocks in mental power decks!

Another Monday over with!





I despise Mondays... Why? Because it means I have class until 9pm. That and it's MONDAY! Who LIKES Mondays?? Anyway, I took an assertiveness test for my English class. I got a 36 out of 100. That's REALLY low! It said I have trouble expressing myself in groups and that I don't like drawing attention to myself. Which is true. And yet, I'm the one taking charge of the project in English and all that. Go figure.

I would just like to say "thanks" to Homsar, who put a band-aid on my burnt finger. ^.^ And to everyone who wished me luck on my tests and who commented on my posts. I love you guys!!

Ah, and don't worry Roxas, I know your opinion on Sasuke. Or in your view, the-whiny-emo-prince who selfishly and stupidly throws his life and his friends away all for vengence and power. Boy do I know! ^^ But I like having discussions like that, call me weird, but I do. Don't worry, I won't let the fangirls hurt you too badly!

It seems the poll was nearly unanimous as far as Sakura, which surprises me. But I'm not too disappointed. Personally, I can't stand her in the original series. But in Shippuden she's much better and Karin takes her place on the top of my hate list.

The tests have been vanquished!





Well, sort of! I didn't do as well as I had hoped on my biology test-but I also didn't study again...which I should have. But! I got a good grade on my Chem test and I didn't study for that either!^.^

Sigh...I just burned myself while cooking lunch...or dinner, or whatever that meal was... I accidentally touched a scalding hot pan, and now my finger hurts! I swear, I can't do anything without either making a mess or hurting myself...or both.

Omg! New Naruto episode was on last night! The beginning of the Sasuke Retrieval Arc, and the first stage of the Naruto vs. Sasuke battle! This is the beginning of my FAVORITE arc in the series! It focuses on my baby Sasuke! What's not to love? ^^

Anyway, now that I'm done being a rabid fangirl, the Itachi vs. Sasuke question from last post came out as a tie! But if I put in my vote, Sasuke wins! Yay! Thanks to everyone who commented and voted!

   Tests, tests, and more tests!





Did I mention that I hate tests? I have a bio exam tomorrow. yay. The hardest test of the course. And have I studied? Nope! I really should...in fact, that's what I'm going to do in a little bit. I didn't study for the last exam and got an A on it though...

In addition to my bio exam, I've got that Chem test on Saturday...at 9am. Not only is it disrupting my Saturday, but at 9am!! Such an unholy hour... Plus, I just suck at chemistry... Wish me luck!

Hmmm...I watched Ghostrider the other day. It wasn't half bad. I little corny in some places, but still not too bad. It wasn't as good as say Batman (with Christian Bale) or The Count of Monte Cristo (if you like a bit of romance with your adventure and intrigue, then I recommend this one!). Anyone else have an opinion on any of these movies? Anyone seen any GOOD movies lately? I haven't been to the theater in such a long time, it's not even funny. Too busy with school and work...

Well, it seems that a lot of people like to ask questions at the end of their posts, so I think I will too! At least for this one.

   Waiting for Wednesday





Well, I'm happy to report that Roxas07's eyes are no longer bleeding due to my avvie! He just doesn't know good looks when he sees them. :) Just kidding Roxas! You know I adore you.

Anyway, got out of class about half an hour ago. Chemistry lecture. Meh. Chem never was my best subject but I aced the in-class quiz! Go me! We have these little keypads that we punch our answers onto and send it to a receiver. Then the professor's computer compiles the answers and grades the quizzes. It's a neat system, and it sure beat writing everything down!

I've taken command of my group in English...I'm expecting a coup de 'tat any day now though. I'm a bit of a perfectionist and I set pretty high standards for both myself and those I work with, so yeah, I don't know how long they'll let me be in charge. But if they do exile me, they'd better watch out. I'll pull a Napoleon and come back again! Yes, I'm a history buff, sue me. :)
