Story 21
Midnight opened her eyes. She was cold. Even her fur couldnt keep out the coldness. She smelt the air because she knew there was a lot of prey here. She smelt something. But it wasnt a prey. It was a predator! She barked at the other wolves to leave. They got up. But they stood their ground. They would not leave Midnight alone not for one second. A big monster jumped out. It was about as big as two or three wolves. It jumpes at them it had a lot of fur around its neck with a slender tail then a big puffy tip at the end. It had humongous claws! It jumped on Midnight and bit her neck. She tried to throw it down but it was too big. She fell to the ground and the monster slashed at bit her like an angry mosquito. She couldn’t keep her eyes open. She felt like someone nailed a knife in her body. She started to feel what happened to Wildfire. With that she knew what was happening. Her throat closed up. She no longer had the sense to smell or to see. She saw the light that came when Wildfire visited. She saw Natsume and Wildfire! She ran up to her sister and pushed her. She looked at Wildfire. Why was Wildfire not happy? Whats wrong?
