  "Closing Time" by SemiSonic

SCHOOL IS OUT! i got home about two hours ago, and it's a little surreal. I'M GONNA BE A SENIOR NEXT YEAR!!! i'm psyched, but it's gonna be weird. i've always related better to the upper-classmen and now they're all gone!! and now i'm going to graduate! it's so weird. like brick wall in the face weird. it was funny, i've been looking forward to all this free time and then i get home, dump my stuff, and say to myself, "now what?"

exam highlights:
mon: brit. lit., pre-cal
tues: econ., chem.
wed: jII, adv. art
pre-cal was pretty bad. i studied, the test was easier than i thought it would be, and i still got a 69. talk about a letdown. oh well, my final grade is an 80 something. good enough for me. i'm not taking ap calculus. i'm done, fed up, exhausted, etc. with higher mathematics. don't call it quitting. some insane part of me will miss the challenge and learning something new every day. i took my Japanese II exam today. i'm not going to lie, the last three exams i took in Japanese class, i cheated (and so did everyone else...we lacked motivation). i didn't this time, though! i studied my ass off last night and this morning and i think i did pretty good. I wrote a whole page for the essay, which was a letter. i was sooo angry in adv. art when i looked up the one word i forgot. byouin. it means hospital. i looked that same word up at breakfast. -_-; the adv. art exam was the sweetest exam ever on the planet!! i swear to god, he told us we were going to do a "class exam." we all got together, he handed us one worksheet with five ?s and a five copies of an article about a pop artist (forgot the name). he said one person could be the recorder and everyone else, pick a question. BEST. CLASS. EVER. danielle and devin played penny hockey (Bladow has the coolest stuff!), Nikki doodled, and jen, emily, and i played cards. yeah, there's only 6 of us. small class sizes rule.

summer:
i'm gonna work on a lot of stuff this summer. i'm writing a story, which i'm hoping will eventually become a manga (for that, i'm looking at years from now), and i'm working on a comic right now with eri, who's doing the story. we're planning on getting it online. webcomics look like fun. a lot of work, but of the fun kind. oh, and i'm a writer now, so i'll be doing a lot of that, too. with any luck, i'll be able to post something soon. i'm trying to get my stuff out there, so i've got a dev art account and i'm on tokyopop now, too. crazy stuff.
