Must survive til next Thrusday >< I had to ask for a 60 dollar loan today for groceries. If we can make do til next Thrusday, I will so happy.
Some good news. Workmen's comp finally put down an offer on the table for my dad. It was 45,000 dollars, but my dad refused, which is reasonable. They put us through 5 years of delays and stupid things like totally cutting off the checks and cutting the amount in half. Don't deserve 45,000 for all of that suffering. So my dad told the lawyer to ask for 70,000.
I mean, do you know how fast 45,000 dollars would disappear in our household. He has so many plans on what to do with the money, it seems it'll all be gone by the following weekend. He wants to buy everyone a car, a new computer, wants to buy new furniture, a new tv, and the list goes on. I was hoping for half a mil, but wishful thinking doesn't go too far.
