The Contest...
Ah...no one got it.But,I didn't expect anyone to.Anyways,the song is Rakuen by Do As Infinity(the same band who sings Fukai Mori).The rest is because I did a songfic for Inuyasha using the song Rakuen.I put the lyrics in both english and japanese.Also you must click the button next to my avatar to here the music.Don't worry,it's not just the music it has words too so please tell me what you think about my story.It's an oneshot but I might make it into an actually story.It depends if you guys like it or not.Anyways,here's the story...

Kagome hopped off the edge of the well and landed on the green ground. She was wearing her school uniform like usual and had her hair tied up. The thing was, she was holding a big pink box. It was exactly a year since she first arrived in Feudal Japan and she had brought a cake to celebrate both her birthday and the starting of her journey. She had a slight bounce in her step as she walked to the village. She was even a day early as to surprise them. Kagome smiled slightly as she thought how hyper Shippo would be before and after he ate the cake. She stopped mid-step as she heard Inuyasha. She turned her head and hid behind a tree.

“Kikyo…I don’t love that reincarnation of yours. I love you. I never loved her,” said Inuyasha, walking closer to Kikyo. He then embraced her and rubbed his face in her hair.

Dare mo ga minna shitteru We all understand
Keseya shinai kizu o That wounds can’t go away.
Dore gurai tsuzuku no? How long will it go on?
Mou iranai yo We don’t need them anymore

Kagome dropped the box as silent tears cascaded down her face. She tried to wretch her gaze off of them and, to her surprise, did. She then ran. Ran far away from the village, from the well, from Inuyasha. She didn’t know where she was running but she didn’t care, just as long as she was far from Inuyasha.
~*With Inuyasha and Kikyo, before and after Kagome saw them~*
“Kikyo, I missed you,” said Inuyasha, a few feet behind Kikyo. Kikyo turned around.

“Inuyasha, you shouldn’t come to me anymore, you have my reincarnation,” said Kikyo simply.

“Kikyo…I don’t love that reincarnation of yours. I love you. I never loved her,” said Inuyasha, walking closer to Kikyo. He then embraced her and rubbed his face in her hair. Kikyo pushed him away and backed up a few steps.

“Inuyasha, I don’t love you. My love for you disappeared when I was made into this clay body, when my soul was filled with revenge and hatred,” said Kikyo in a stolid voice.

“Kikyo-“ started Inuyasha but was interrupted by Kikyo.

“No, Inuyasha. Leave me be. I am dead,” said Kikyo then her soul-catchers came and picked her up. Inuyasha tried to grab her but was to late as the soull-catchers carried Kikyo away.

“Kikyo!” Inuyasha shouted. ‘Kikyo…if I can’t have her then I’ll stay with her reincarnation. Simple enough…wait a minute…that smell…Kagome!’ thought Inuyasha. He then whirled around and saw the pink box. He ran up to it and sniffed it. Through the sweet smell he could smell lilac and jasmine, Kagome’s scent. Inuyasha ran to the village, hoping Kagome was there.

Dare mo ga minna matteru We all wait for the day
Arasoi no nai hibi o That there will be no fighting.
Senshou no heishi-tachi Wounded soldiers,

~*With Kagome~*
Kagome finally stopped running under a sakura tree. She took big gulps of air before sitting against the tree. She finally noticed that it was raining heavily. ’Inuyasha…how could he do this to me. I stuck with him through all this time and this is what I get? Being called reincarnation and being thrown aside when the real one is back? H-How could he?! I loved him. But, he will never love me because…I’m simply just a reincarnation’ thought Kagome bitterly at the end. The wind gently blew through the leaves of the trees and a sakura floated gently onto Kagome’s lap. Kagome shrugged off her big backpack and decided to stay there for a while. ‘Just until the rain stops’ she thought but really she didn’t what to leave. That would mean confronting Inuyasha.

Kono hateshinaku hiroi sekai ni In this vast and endless world,
Jibun nake no chizu egaite Drawing our own map,
Namida koraete And holding back tears,
Bokura wa aruiteyukou. We’ll continue on walking.

Kagome picked up one of the arrows from her quiver. As she held it close to her face straight up so the point of the arrow was turned toward the sky she examined it. The arrowhead was a gray color and had multiply raindrops on it. Then a thought hit her. She wouldn’t have to face Inuyasha. No, not if she did this. ‘If I do this I…I won’t have to worry about Inuyasha. No, no worries at all. I’ll be free, from everything’ Kagome then poised the arrow to her heart with the point just inches away. Just as she was about to ram it into her heart a voice stopped her.

Tachi agare ima Stand up now,
Hora nando demo See now, however many times
Nemuru shishi yobiokoshite Sleeping lions awakened,
Ikiteyuku n da ashite e Live on to tomorrow.

“ Do you really wish to leave this world like that? No honor at all?” asked a stolid voice that was so familiar. That was because she heard it lots of times before, in her dreams, and everywhere else. If the voice held a happy tone to it, no ice in it at all, it would sound just like her.

“…no,” was Kagome’s answer as she looked down, her bangs covering her eyes.

“ Come here,” said Kikyo in a commanding voice. Kagome obeyed quickly, stepping into the cold rain. Yet, the rain felt good. It made her forget the pain. It made her feel numb.

“Why is it that you’re here? Shouldn’t you be at the village?” asked Kikyo still in a stolid voice.

“Inuyasha…Inuyasha chose you. I’m not needed there anymore. He never really saw me. I’m just a replacement for…you,” said Kagome looking right into Kikyo’s face.

“So, you’re running away from him, from the pain,” stated Kikyo. Kagome’s eyes widen a little then returned to normal.

“Yes, yes I am. Like I said I’m not needed. He loves you and only you. I’m just a replacement, no a shard detector. That’s all I’m good for, detecting shards. I can’t even use my miko powers,” said Kagome with a little anger in her voice.

Dare mo ga minna motteru We all carry
Hito kakero no ai o A fragment of love
Nikundemon nani hitotsu Even if we feel hatred,
Umarenai n da yo Nothing will be born of it.
Sonna no mou iranai yo That’s something we don’t need.

“You wish to be more, you wish to do more. Am I correct?” asked Kikyo.

“Hai…” said Kagome, not knowing where this was going.

“Then…I will train you,” said Kikyo simply, her tone warming up just a little bit.

“W-what?!” yelled Kagome. Kikyo’s faced turned from cold to amusement, which shocked Kagome.

Kono kagiri aru jikan no naka de Within the limits of time,
Mada minu rakuen mezashite Setting out for paradise we’ve yet to see,
Doko made datte As far as it takes us,
Bokura wa aruiteyukuo. We’ll continue on walking.

“I only hang onto life to get my revenge, to kill Naraku. Also, to return the Shikon no Tama to it’s new guardian, you. After that I’ll disappear. It’d be a shame if you couldn’t protect the tama by yourself. Besides, even if Naraku is dead I can never purify the jewel. I’m too tainted with revenge and hatred,” answered Kikyo.

Mae dake o mite Only look ahead.
Sono karada kuchihateru made Until your body wastes away,
Ikiteyuku n da mirai e Live on to the future

“I can train you still, that is, if you want me to. But, that means no going back home until your training is complete. You can’t travel with Inuyasha or the others either,” said Kikyo.

“I…I would like you to train me…” answered Kagome after a few minutes of thought. Kikyo nodded and motioned for Kagome to follow her. Kagome picked up her bag and followed behind Kikyo. The rain still pouring but she didn’t feel numb anymore. She felt like…like she was starting all over again.

Omoi dashite yo Remember now,
Ima haha no nukumori o Our mothers’ warmth.

“Kagome, one more thing,” said Kikyo, turning her head back to face Kagome. Kagome looked straight into Kikyo’s eyes, noticing that they turned to a warm color. That look made Kagome feel warm and it surprised her that Kikyo could make her feel warm…and wanted.

“Ikiteyuku n da mirai e.” The rain fell down softly and caressed their bodies.

WolfGirl17: That’s it. The pairing was a Kagome/Kikyo but not a love, a friendship. Anyways, if you think I should continue this just tell me in a review. The song was Rakuen by Do As Infinity. It’s the ending song for the 4th movie of Inuyasha. Please tell me what you think!
