Is that North?...or East?...

Today's OCRemix: "Boss Uniform" Phantasy Star II Remix by Quinn Fox. I don't understand how I could have missed this, it's just one of those tracks that I feel like listening to while doing some logarithms...or defining a law on labour standards in some other part of the country...or maybe even struggling through the obscure solution to the number of joules of energy released from a disintegrating chemical solution. Regardless, this is a piano-oriented, very sombre and cool track that would not be out of place at a hotel bar or something of the like. A few obscure techno elements mixed in, but certainly not something that sounds remotely like a boss battle, more like you'd be inviting the boss in question to a few drinks over a glass coffee table while discussing some obscure topic that most people would never be able to understand (see chem homework reference). Best served with a gin and tonic...or maybe a double bourbon.

If you poor, uneducated masses still fail to understand (or, God forbid, unconvinced) that Godel may soon be one of the coolest webcomic artists you might ever know, go visit her site right now. While you are at it, ask her about the significance of "the big, red dot." However, I am not to be held responsible if she decides to set you on fire for some incomprehensible reason. No, I will not be standing nearby with a fire extinguisher, either.

Thanks to all you wonderful people who have decided to participate in Senpai. I have not forgotten about it at all, but I've just been trying to get through my exams lately. Not that I'm struggling, mind, but this is the year that I could earn some important rewards for my work (nevermind that I could be earning a scholarship for this...I want a TIE!).

Anyway, It's late on a school night, so I'll today off with the news that something cool is happening in exactly one week from now.

What is it?

...

If you know me reasonably well, then you should probably know already.

Otherwise, I'll tell you come next update.

Some Way, Somehow, Somewhere....

Today's OCRemix: "Reviving Zue" Terranigma Remix by Ziwtra. Not one easily persuaded except by word of mouth and/or rave reviews, I found that this OCRemix was enough of a comfortable push in the right direction towards getting me to try playing Terranigma sometime. A game (supposedly) heavily based on "Illusion of Gaia" for the SNES, features a (quite awesome) action-oriented battle engine which, I think, is greatly improved from IoG (if a little easy). The mix itself, however, features an interesting hip-hop style at the beginning with hi-treble snares, a scratching pattern which reminds me of "Spin the disc" by good-cool(DDR) which I am listening to at this very moment. Then it gets into what I like to call the "hybrid instruments" section, because the melody is played by an instrument which I cannot really identify as being a string instrument or some kind of technologically-altered flute, but rather a combination of the two. Then, the harmony is played by what sounds like a mix of electric guitar grind and a tenor saxophone. Around the middle leading to the end, we have our usual techno-inspired beats peppered throughout the piece, and then getting back into the hybrids for the end. Very cool, very enjoyable, download if you feel like one of these unusual genre breaking trips with all of the hybrid-instrumented glory thrown in for free.

Well, first off, I'd like to say I'm sorry for having acted really moronic the other day. I know it's not cool to impose my work on you guys, but I guess I have been pressured by school life as of late, and I was hoping to put Senpai up by the end of the previous summer. It didn't work out that way, so when I had a chance, I put it up. Personally, I still think it is a little rough around the edges, but I'm hoping most of the learning and instruction will take place during the actual RPG rather than having to deal with all the aggravations in the signup sheets. That's why I made them so overly-simplistic, because they're not what I'm looking for in character. Everything I need to see will come out in the RPG when it starts. If I'm unhappy with the direction of the RPG...well, that's up to the participants to decide what to do, and my only direction comes when I decide which movie they will be making.

In any case, I hope that those of you who haven't already take a look at it (see previous post links). If you even have something to suggest, aesthetically (see HTML) or otherwise, fire away. That would help out a lot, too.

As for the rest of my week, I went to Curling practice a grand total of three times (it's a flexible schedule, it rules, and if you want to know what curling is, ask Arcadia) and went to see "The Glass Menagerie" being put on by our Player's Club at our new black box theater put up this year. The theater itself sucks, because the catwalking system is "not up to building code" and so our school now has to spend another few grand for a new team to reinstall the catwalks because our previous builders were such fucking morons that they couldn't do the job right the first time even though we gave them twice as much time to do it as we were supposed to.

Anyway, most of my weekend time was spent either trying to find a store with Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne available for rent, or talking endlessly about cool stuff with Godel for infinitely cool amounts of time. If you cannot comprehend the coolness, get MSN sometime and join us in a "group orgy" of sorts where the conversation will revolve around everything from the anime/game fad of the week to music and argue endlessly about whose pants are the coolest until we all drop out from exhaustion or our parents start yelling. Join the fun.

In the meantime, I've been playing DDR again since I've modified my pad with hardwood. I can finally play in my room despite the carpet. I've started having fun with DDR MAX again, but, try as I might, I still can't quite beat "TRIP MACHINE CLIMAX" on Heavy (9-footer).

Oh, and don't even ask me about "Rythm and Police (K.O.G. G3 Mix)", because I'm not even touching that until I can at least finish "Electro Tuned (The SubS Mix)" (will ask Syk3 about that later.

Meanwhile, I'm still cooking up stories and delusions of grandeur with Solo, who is now to be known as my soon-to-be "partner in crime" as we concoct plans to finish a long-neglected RPG, and I will, hopefully, be able to balance Christmas exams in with all this. (Remember, if I get an 85%, I get a tie, w00t)

It's 11/28 00:55.

And I need to rest before I pass out at the PC.

dead...so very...dead.

Today's OCRemix: "The Ken Song" Street Fighter 2 Remix by jdproject...wow, this song is just...wow. I seriously could not tell the difference between this and the creation of any major rock band you could imagine. (they may be singing about video games, but still). This song, even with all the humourous lyrics, could pass for any band you may or may not have heard in your past, present, or future. jdproject did good with this, and we all love his perpertually unusual lyric "Realize your Ken" with this lovely punk-reminiscient remix of Ken's theme song from Street Fighter 2. Sit back and enjoy.

I'm tired...

Why?

Senpai is up.

That's right:

Senpai is up.

Indeed.

Senpai is up.

Senpai is up.

I worked hard on it...

Please take a look at it.

Senpai is up.

11/24, 20:23.

That's all I have to say.

Senpai is up.

Read it.

Please.

Senpai is up.

New acid...

Today's OCRemix : "Hunter's Community Chest" Final Fantasy IX Remix by Shnabubula. I have to admit, this piece of music drove me absolutely nuts when I first heard it, considering what I had heard from djpretzel on the matter. If you know me, I'm absolutely drawn to the surreal, and thought this mix would give me a refreshing aftertaste of the truly odd. Thankfully, I was right, and am addicted to the song as we speak. This song contains the power of over-synthed drumlines and a low and powerful organ in the background, featuring the opening tune from FFIX. The trippy drum solo near the end is absolutely glorious to listen to once in a while, and the entire song is absolutely dripping with avant-garde synth sounds and falsetto sounds that would not be out of place in any house or trance beat. Enjoy the acid.

Anyway, this is my new look, which is a partial tribute to two of my works simultaneously: my new film project at school, titled "Aka to Ao" (Red and Blue in Japanese), and my soon-to-appear RPG film-school concept: "Senpai".

I haven't updated in over three months, I think, so I'll give you an extremely truncated version of the past events:

-Football season's over
-Curling season is in
-talked a lot with Godel, and am now a part of her personal harem (also started an online relationship and broke up with her in the same five minutes).
-had a sub Chem teacher who mad everything so much easier
-modified a home DDR pad
-French class gives me heartburn
-Halloween ruled, went in a samurai outfit
-long weekends are the staff of life
-two casual days at school, both without incident.
-the locker room still sucks
-my friends are always busy with school
-so am I, so I can't complain
-Star Ocean 3 wasn't so cool after all
-I hope buying Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne isn't a mistake
-I'm working on a film project
-Eco class rules
-Curling rules
-Being back here rules
-Godel rules (even when she breaks up with me)
-My legions of fans rule
-and finally, the Death List rules

Ok, that took a little more energy than I thought, so I don't think I'll go into any details here and now, just get some sleep and write a little more about my life tomorrow.

***

It is now 11/22, 22:22, EST
...and life is sweet.

Painful...burning my eyes...

Today’s OCRemix: "Neighburgers" Zombies Ate My Neighbours Remix by Protricity. If anyone here has ever heard of my nutty friend Steve, whom I quote as being famous for his Shinmaru-rivalling ability to make fun of any Eternal Darkness moment in history, and a (controllable) over-the-top soprano voice which makes me laugh so hard when he pronounces certain words...or screams really loud, that I fall over laughing so hard I have to exit the room for a few minutes before having the ocurage to reenter. However, this mix came to me unexpectedly while his brother was advising Steve on how to complete "Mars Needs Cheerleaders". Since I had a bit of a cold at the time, I took a shot of Buckley's decongestant, and nearly choked on it when Steve told me about the new mix on OCR by Protricity. This was not so shocking in the sense that a new mix was out, but in the sense that he had actually recommended it to me. Reccomended it to me, I reccomend Remixes to others, not the other way around! My point being, this is a nice mix that came to me under completely unforseeable circumstances, and features weird synth guitar, and variations on the black-and-white horror film soundrack that made this game so cool in the first place. Enjoy if you're looking for something out of the ordinary, and take a shot of Buckley's immediately before listening for maximum effect.

Well, despite the lack of news from everyone else on my site in weeks, I'm still keeping MyO alive, like some 24-hour talk radio show that must stay on the air for some form of recognition. Other than that, I'm not sure what else is new.

Well, football season is in, and despite the fact that I am of junior level age (15) I am given constant mixed messages from each of the coaches telling me that I am on the second team, then I'm not on the second team, then I am again, or that maybe I'm playing with the juniors one day, and with the seniors the next.

How do you make sense of this multi-coach mixed football logic? You just don't, you run back or pull in this direction or hit that guy and try to forget about the fact that you have no idea why you're on the senior/junior football team other than the school forces you to, and that your coaches have no combined sense of what they're doing with you, and you take in these mixed messages until your sane concious mind snaps.

It's like I'm in George Orwell's "1984".

In other news, my spar with Alex, Ellie, and Phil returns from the "grave" of Adventure Square's fifth page, with an amusing, if somewhat nonsensical post of mine featuring a kung-fu fight in the sauna between myself and Phil. Reality TV at it's best, as I like to call it.

This also gave me some inspiration for a potential slogan or inside joke of "Mandalay Studios", an idea
that Alex and Ellie came up with for the spar:

"Do unto others what gets you ratings."

Ok, maybe not too funny, but it does make sense, if you've ever read "stess relief" before. Of course, this would be "s.r. 2", since Ellie's first was with...Heaven's Cloud and Mitch, I believe.

"Stress Relief 2: "This time, it's personal."

I'm tired of my own fake attempts at humour, so I guess I'll leave it for now.

Oh, and one more important pice of news: my dad is actually considering getting a myO site. This came as some interesting news to me, since he sometimes likes to read my stuff, but I bet that it wouldn't be a bad idea, since the only major issue around here is that he is way, way outside the normal age demographics for people who frequent myO: (I'm guessing 12-20), hence the idea of him getting a myO site is kind of odd, as it would seem like he doesn't really belong here, talking with those so much younger than he is, but I often talk with him about issues I read on the OB and on myO, and I think that the idea of him getting a myO shouln't be too big a difference, as I believe he has the capacity to accept discussion very well from those so much younger than he is.

Anyway, if you have anything to say about this, be it disputing the issue of age demographics on myO and OB, supporting or slamming me and my dad for considering getting a much older man a myO site (although don't expect me to treat those who reply to the latter with much consideration) or anything else, just remember that I like seeing numbers other than 0 in my comments box.

Oh, and if you haven't checked out Senpai (see below post) yet, I would appreciate some comments, as I am not sure if this idea is RPG worthy just yet.

Thank you all for putting up with me, yet again.

OMFG, an update?!?!111

What is happening here?! Wondershot actually updated?! There must be some kind of mistake! There has to be! This is the most nonsensical and unreasonable thing to happen on the face of this planet since a meterorite crashed into the planet kicking up a huge enough dust cloud to block out the sun for generation and freezing the planet itself! This can only mean one thing...the world is coming to an end!!!11 We all knew this was going to happen when I woke up this morning to find that the weather reports the previous day were completely erroneous and I would have to go on that damn mountain hike today, since it failed to rain on schedule! It became even more evident when I looked out at the town from the footpath up the mountain to see that the rest of the planet was slanted!! Next thing you know, pigs will grow wings and decide that it's time to take over the far less mobile and intellingent human species, since they weren't smart enough to evolve with wings! Next thing you know, someone in that White House is gonna push that "ULTIMATE PANIC BUTTON!!1!1" that we all know exists and the earth will implode into a benign ball of gas, starting the entire process from the new school building at my place, since it was obvious that the builders weren't stupid enough to make an 8 month job last over a year, and thus took the opportunity to slip WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION underneath my school!!! Now we are all gonna die and my school is gonna keep charging us 25 cents for a goddamn cup of coffee, and those now nuclear-charged flying pigs will crush us with their superior numbers, only faltering to the sheer inhumanity of charging a single Canadian quarter for a caffeine charged crap beverage! Now I have this knowledge, and soon the Canadian government ninjas are gonna break through my window and strangle me with my own pair of cargo pants since my government is too cheap to afford real wire! The secret will be gone...until the LASER POWERED nuclear flying pigs overthrow the government, since we know that they have been working in our government for the longest time, using the unbeatable might of the secret Canadian military to crush all the opposing forces before using their newfound brainwashing powers to force them to kill each other! The pigs will enslave us all! about to turn their full might on the world, until they all fall to the creuelty of knowing that a cup of coffee costs 25 cents!!!

Phew, I was wondering how long I could keep that going.

Today's OCRemix: "Brainsick Metal" Mega Man X Remix by Protricity At first, I couldn't really appreciate this mix, since I had begun falling out of the heavy guitar scene once I had stopped listening to my friend's old System Of A Down albums, and bought "100th Window" by Massive Attack. However, I had downloaded tihs mix out of pure curiosity, and found that it had been rather well done, with synth guitar that sounds good enough to be comparable to the real thing, wicked drum solos near the end, and features three of my favorite Mega Man X tracks, the stages of Spark Mandrill and Storm Eagle, as well as the highway opening stage. If you're a metal fan, appreciative of the pure artistry of complicated chords, unrealistically fast drum solos, and the above mentioned Mega Man X, you should try this mix.

Anyway, the top section des seem like a test of my nonsensical writing skills, but it does actually mention a few things that happened this school year. Namely, the fact that the builders were supposed to build us a new student center by the end of the last school year, and they aren't even done now, and the fact that our new day student's locker room is only slightly larger than your average hotel room, definitely not enough to house the belongings of some 60 day students. Furthermore, we went on our annual hiking trip up the local mountain, which I believe scaled much faster this year, but was still way behind my friends, since I was still slow as hell. Lastly, footbal season began last year, and I already have all kinds of aches in my legs, to the point of pain beyond the necessity to climb stairs or sit down anywhere for the rest of my life (only slightly exaggerated). The most disturbing news came when we realized we'd have to pay for snacks at break time now, since they are usually served in the cafeteria, but I can't really find the energy to care, since I don't drink coffee (tastes like crap, usually too hot, and an unecessary overboost of caffeine, don't do coffee).

You'll notice I used the phrase "overboost" above, because my newest concern is not my new school year, or how to deal with pain in my nether region, or even the outlandish prices of sugary treats and caffeinated water, but the newest Armored Core game coming out (or is it already out? Local stores never get the newest stuff.) The game is Armored Core: Nexus (or 4, for those of you counting), and features new controls (dual-analog, common in FPS) for those unfamilliar with the game, as well as an option for the old digital controls, made specifically for the piloting of these unusual robotic creations.

Oh, and I had an interesting AIM talk with Mr. Shinmaru about an interesting comment he left on DDG's site, about his preference for a web domain name, being www.shinho.net, which he explained to me was an "inside joke". However, upon further investigation, we both simultaneously discovered that there was, in fact, already a shinho.net, it being the name of a Korean technology company, specializing in multimedia devices akin to Sony's. For this reason, I would like to credit Mr. Shinmaru with the creation of the ultimate inside joke, one so secretive, that not even he was in on it, Mr. Shinmaru deserves a medal for that kind of subconcious wit, even if he had absolutely nothing to do with his own humour, that's just how funny he is.

Finally, I put up my Underground idea thread for my new RPG-in making: Senpai [PG-LV] I would greatly appreciate it if anyone would care to take a look at the idea, as I believe I mentioned it to a couple of people already. It would appear that the title failed to mention it was an RPG in the making, so if anyone who reads myO (probably a number too small to count) would like to say sometihng about my RPG, then you may do it here or there, or, since I feel like wishful thinking, both.

Thank you all, and sleep tight, for the world will be gone when you awake.

...I laugh at the public school system.

Today’s OCRemix: "Mystic Mountain (2LATE Mix)" Final Fantasy Mystic Quest Remix by Beatdrop and mp and "Electrion" Seiken Densetsu 3 Remix by FIDGAF and TO. There, I did it, two damn remixes in one damn day, it was a difficult job, and I don't think my sanity will ever be the same, but there you have it. However, it didn't exactly hurt that they both rock, at least, to a crazy person. First up we deal with "Mystic Mountain" which is from one of my...more unusual choices in gaming, FFMQ. The whole thing sounds pretty artificial, as though not made with the best synth program in the world, but you can't deny that it has a lot of bang to it. has a nice setup at the beginning, with breakbeat-stlye...wind? and some of that heavy synth bass drum, and a very bizzare snare roll that you'd have to hear to believe. FFMQ wasn't the best game, but I have to appreciate that people can make remixes of it. Second up, we have "Electrion", featuring...well...primarily a joke that djpretzel made about his air conditioner. That aside, the mix itself is something from beyond this world, including a distant opening chord, and heavy bass, unusual hip-hop style drums, and a distant vibe sound that reminds me oddly of the Tenchu series. Sit back, cool off, and enjoy.

Well, I can sit back in perfect comfort, whilst almost everyone else I know has to go to crappy public school. This gives me, naturally, more time to work on myO, as well as RPGs, and maybe even bagpipes.

In the meantime, I thought I could temporary divert the attention of all you people in PC land to a little news of new projects I've got going on. And maybe just enough space for some stupid filler, (or is that the other way around?)

Anyway, since I was sick and had nothing much else to do, I thought I would begin constructing my newest plot for an RPG, the inspiration of which came from my last school year, and the idea for it's development linked directly to an idea that Alex built up for a spar I'm in with him, terra and Balmon (Phil). I hope they doesn't mind.

I might put up some info in Underground in a little while, so I'd rather not divulge too many details, but it revolves around filmmaking and scriptwriting, so although the general outline is set by me, the direction of plot goes more towards the participants than just myself.

It's a little more complex than most other RPGs, since communication and direction goes more between the other writers among themselves than me to them, and I thought it would be interesting to see just how someone could handle that type of hands-off approach on the creator's part. It seems to me that trying to work the plot in the direction of the main group of writers rather than the creator of the RPG itself is a bit more difficult since, in my experience, participants in an RPG seem less willing to advance the story than the creator. furthermore, I've always wanted to try thinking outside the box, so to speak, and be a little more innovative with the basic structure of an RPG, both in plot and uniqueness of appearance.

Well, if you guys want to say anything about it, feel free to write something here or in Underground. I'm also gonna try and use some HTML know-how in this thing too, so you might catch me experimenting here.

On a side note, I'm also trying my hand at some Naruto fan fiction. For those of you who might not have seen Naruto in the past, I find it to bee a good series because of innovation in battle, using very different types of techniques and combat skills, using both your wits and strength against your opponent, innovation. I thought it would be perfect.

Hell, you might see that here, too.

Why oh why is it that everytime I come to update, I always feel that I'm forgetting something? It sucks even worse that I know I'm going to remember it the moment I finish this stupid post.

Oh well, nothing more to be done here, I hope to catch you guys looking at my RPG ideas in the future.

myO, the bastard kid no one updates...

Today’s OCRemix: Screw that, I'm way too tired, I'll give you guys two mixes next time.

Well, while I am still concious, and being fueled by nothing but replaying "Gradiusic Cyber [AMD G5 Mix]" by BIG-O featuring DJ TAKA and "Electro Tuned [The SubS Mix]" by TaQ, I figure I'll give you guys the details of the rest of my vacation, but you'll forgive me if the rest seems illegible.

Ok, first thing that happened was our flight leaving was "retarded"...

Ok, before I continue I should explain myself: for those of you who probably failed to get the "retarded" humour, the joke is that, being from a Montreal airport, everything is displayed in French, primarily, and "retard" in French means "late", or "delay". Since the spelling is exactly the same, it's easy to form an inter-language pun....or is that outer-language?

Anyway, since it was late, my dad and I decided to bet on the time we check into the hotel, since our flight was to leave at 2:30, my dad bet we would check in at 12:40, Portugal (Azores) Time (G.M.T. -1 hour). I bet on 11:30, so the deal was that if we arrived before 12:05, I win, and if after, he won. The deal was that the winner would get to claim he is "always right" for the duration of the vacation.

We arrived at 11:30...I won.

Anyway, after the excruciating task of getting all the stuff upstairs, (we overpacked), I decided to indulge in one of the greatest delights of our vacation, and opened a bottle of "Kima de Maracuja", a passion-fruit carbonated juice that is undoubtedly one of the best reasons for going there, other than to visit my grandma.

Anyway, the next morning we visited my "Avo" (grandma), and we were recieved by the sight of her in a wheelchair. My mother had left a week ahead of the rest of us, so she warned us about this. Avo is getting more frail every year, and it's quite...humbling, to see my Avo like that, very sad.

After the initial week, in which we ate and drank at some of the best restaurants in town, (and I updated.) We headed for our usual trip to the countryside, whereupon I got sick after four days. We headed to the hospital, since my fever hadn't gone down for two days, and I was prescribed more pills for sinusitis, which is usually what does this to me. However, after we returned from the country, I began experiencing an allergic reaction to the pills, and when we went to the city hospital and waited around for seven hours in the E.R., where no one moved. After leaving, having given up, we passed a local pharmacy, and the doctor behind the counter took one look at me, said it was not an allergic reaction, and prescribed me something for the rash on my skin.

...so, I waited 7 hours in the E.R., only to give up and then be treated by a pharmacist in thirty seconds...I hate that kind of vacationing.

Anyway, during the third week, we got to meet my newborn cousin Ines for the first time, and witnessed her baptism in a Portuguese church. I haven't gone to a local church in a while, but in all likelihood: Portuguese church > all other churches.

Anyway, we attended a nice party after the actual event, but the heat was rather overwhelming, so I wasn't quite feeling myself the whole time. Food was good, though.

Finally, we had to say goodbye to my Avo, who was heartbroken. It was sad to see her like that, since, to be honest, I'm note sure how many more visits we can make like this, and my mom seemed especially depressed. It was unusual, but I did my best to try and reassure her, and, of course, had to display my unbeatable sense of humour, and made another bet with my dad on our arrival time: After 10:07:30, I win, before, he wins, wager: bragging rights for the rest of the summer.

After an especially tedious flight, during which I actually failed to fall asleep, we landed, and the captain announced:

"The local time is 10:10..."

What can I say, I'm always right.

so, we've been home for four days now, and since I am falling asleep at the keyboard-thingy, I'll cut it off now and give you guys more details some other time.

And now...this is exactly how legible I feel right now:

"I AM THE BLACK MAGE, I CASTS THE SPELLS THAT MAKES THE PEOPLES FALL DOWN!"

Black Mage, 8-bit Theater

For those who don't know, 8-bit theater owns all and your firstborn children.

Short and pointless...I only have 15 minutes.

Today’s OCRemix: None, because I can't download remixes in Portugal, silly.

Rules of Travel
by Wondershot

1. An afternoon flight is, all things considered, a mistake. you must get up at some ungodly hour of the morning, only to arrive some 3 or 4 hours early, then have zero to do.

2. Even the "express lines" for business/first class are slow. Nobody showed up there for over an hour and a half.

3. Airport food will shorten your lifespan, and leave you wondering just how much of it was really what they claimed it to be.

4. Almost anything at an airport can inspire a story. (Solo might know what I'm talking about).

5. In Quebec, flights aren't "delays", they are "retards".

6. Security in Canada rocks...or maybe more of a lack thereof.

7. There is no such thing as too much sleep. Sleep for a few hours in the car, a few hours while you wait for your "retarded" flight, a few hours while you fly, and a few more hours when you arrive at your destination.

8. Your body clock is a hard thing to "rewind", since you can fall asleep at any hour, and then when you wake up, fail to sleep at the right time.

9. It's fun to gamble on arrival/reparture times during your travels, since a "retarded" flight can be fun to bet on. (In Quebec, I estimate 5/13 flights are actually on time.)

10. Whatever you bring, if it can't be battery powered, then it probably won't do much good.

11. Nothing will test your sanity more than sleeping in a hotel room with snoring parents, who seem to have that little "filter" knob in their brains that tells them to get louder as the night wears on.

12. Internet is harder to come by then you might think, so do your best to fulfill your online requirements before you have to go on vacation.

13. Finally, there are three things that no traveler can be without:

Breath mints, batteries, and whatever excuses they can come up with (for a variety of scenarios).

-

Short, and utterly pointless.

I only get online for 30 minutes a pop, so everyone take care in my abscence.

And keep those RPGs going, too.

What is so hard is also what I do best and love.

Today’s OCRemix: "Bug Bash Breakbeat" Mario Paint Remix by Dj Seith. When you have a game where you can randomly amuse yourself with what would normally be a very sanity-trying task, i.e. swatting houseflies, you know you have a winner. Sure, the housefly thing may have been done before, and it amuses the hardcore fan for the odd fifteen minutes, but you have to admit that someone out there who tried it is either bored or brilliant, or both. When something that worthy comes along, remixes follow suit. This work features Seith's trademark "introduction of clips from the actual game" followed by his "excessive and bizzarely-layered white-noise-ish drumline". Personally, I thought the music from the final fly-swatting stage was worthy of something like this, but naturally, coming from Seith, I had not really expected to turn out this way. Just be prepared for anything.

Phew, it's been over two weeks since my last update. Bagpipe lessons came and went, and we finished our concert with astounding applause from freinds/family, and then went to the local pub for a final bash, where we serenaded the patrons with our noise. It was great.

Anyway, I still need to actually buy my own set of pipes, which is expected to cost over 1000$ (Canadian) but, with practice, I could actually make money attending weddings, funerals, and other religious events where I could make some money with "mah pipes". It's a real job, no lie, as people in my town can (almost) make a living wage off the pipes.

(To answer Baron's question, I did not wear a kilt, but I know that I will have to buy one in the future if I want to get serious about this, which I do.)

Anyway, I singed up for Solo's Anime Stereotype High School, but I may not live to see the first few posts...

...Since this Thursday, I leave for the beautiful Ilha de Sao Miguel, Portugal.

Before you ask, yes, the internet does exist on Sao Miguel, even in the middle of the ocean, and I could probably head on the net at the local library a few times a week to work on RP's and maybe update myO. I still have some writing work to do, and I think there is still much to do in my reamining RPG's including Shin's Apartment Bldg. C, Arcadia's Laeth E'Thae, and terra's stress relief spar.

Oh, and I'm even working on two other projects, an RPG I plan on putting up on the OB sometime (maybe while in Portugal) and a screenplay-style piece of writing which I may also put on the OB.

In the meantime, I have a dentist's appointment tomorrow, a tennis match on Tuesday, and a five-hour flight on Thursday.

...Cool.
