Psycho

Well, don't we all just hate it when I'm right? My meteorological intuition was right on the money as the outside temperature dropped to -25 degrees, however, plus windchill it hit an all-time low of -40 or something like that. Today was even worse, -30 in the morning, with about -45 with windchill.

On the other hand, this town looks really cool when it's cold. There was no snow, so it seemed almost desertlike. Normally I hate that, but today it seemed so surreal that I liked it. I saw that the river had frozen over and icy chunks were floating downstream, but at the same time the sun was making the water evaporate, so it looked like a river of dry ice or something.

Oh, and since I finally made it to the weekend, I have a story to write for ACO Forums, which I should get to work on...after I finish listening to System of a Down!

Brrrrrrrn...

Well, it's official, I live in a frozen wasteland.

Yep, today it was -10C in the morning, and it got colder throughout the day. Tomorrow, it's apparently supposed to go down to -25C or something like that. What can I say, It's my life.

On another note, MyOtaku site has been confusing me lately, I find myself erroneously removing freinds from my list when I try to visit their sites, and just a minute ago I added a post that was one word long when I hit enter by mistake. I also note that my spelling is getting worse. (Losing my finesse with the keyboard? Meh, I'll just blame it on the weather.)

Oh, and my friends are getting mad at me because I have been bugging them on Warcraft III. I am a huge fan of Enfo's Team Survival. (The toughest multiplayer level in existence.) Despite the fact that I haven't won yet, I really love playing, but have a tendency to lose my head when something goes wrong. Just a weakness of mine, I guess.

On a different note, I started posting in RPGs again! (Bet you never thought that would happen, eh?)

Contemplation

Tomorrow I go back to school, so I thought it only fitting that I could take this final opportunity to gripe...I mean contemplate, about waht I'll do when I go back to my college-like high school.

One: Sadly, a friend of mine, on exchange from Australia, moved back over the holidays. He is curretnly enjoying his summer vacation, as we are still freezing from the frigid weather up here. I'm gonna miss him.

Two: Spring is coming! Translation: I have to take a new sport! I was thinking tennis or golf, because I have plenty of practice playing with my dad. (Yeesh, first curling and now this, I'm going to seed and I'm only fifteen.)

Three: As you may have guessed, my biggest challenge is going to be waking up before noon. I did all right today, though (8:30). Furthermore, the school day will be starting late tomorrow, so I only have two-thirds of class time! Wheeeeee.

*Sigh* I'm getting too ahead of myself again. Enjoy the rest of your school years as much as humanely possible, and I'll catch you later.

Happy New Year, everybody.

The title says it all, I hope everyone had a great New Year, and didn't wake up this morning with a hangover or any other unpleasant surprises.

Well, it can sometimes be a strange experience for me when the new year rolls around, starting with the fact that now I have to date all my homework differently. Aside from that, though, there's that realiziation that you're not really who you used to be. You know, say, 2000 didn't seem too long ago for me, but now I live under such different conditions, new house, new school, new website, and so on. I'll bet some of you never thought things would turn out like this, huh?

Well, enough of my random rambling, I have to go see what will happen first this year.

Ciao, people.

Merry Chirstmas, peeps.

Well, I hope everyone had a happy, and abundant Christmas morning. I sure did.

First off, though, the day before was a nightmare. I made the horrible mistake of trying to go to bed before midnight. You know, "the sooner you get to bed...". Anyway, I rolled around for two hours before finally giving up and getting up to go get a glass of water. On the way, I heard some "activity" in the family room...where we keep our tree, and before I could investigate, my mom caught me and sent me back to bed. She got me the water, too.

I'm not complaining, though. The next morning I woke up, albeit with some difficulty, and went down to claim my prizes. It was great, I got the Matrix Revolutions soundtrack, Final Fantasy X-2, and Battlefield: 1942 for my PC just to name a few. (If anyone here plays Battlefield, let me know!).

Another favorite of mine is the novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms. I have been looking everywhere for it, and now I can finally see how it matches up with one of my favorite PS2 games, Dynasty Warriors!

On that note, I found a game a friend lent me a long time ago, hidden in a box in my closet. Now I can finally return it to him after almost a year. Even more surprising, I found my old wallet in thet box...with over $100 still inside! Now I can do some major Boxing Day shopping as well!

Well, I'd love to hear some great stories of what people got for their holidays. Spare no details!

Merry Christmas!

Confused thinking

The title says it all, yo. I have so much time now on my hands it's driving me crazy, so, I thought I'd take the time ot do a little writing, and the result is right above you.

Now, the new intro may seem a little weird, but it's just one prime example of what kind of a mess I feel like. My freinds all agree that I am probably one of the most confused individuals they have ever met. I laugh at the most inopportune times whenever I think of something funny, and I can go from oddly depressed to laughing uproariously in the blink of an eye.

So, because I had all these mixed up things to say, I felt it only appropriate to write something that summed up what other people say about me, hence the idea that I keep bringing up about how I'd like to be remembered when that ninja sneaks up on me while I'm typing on my PC, but I digress from this incredible run-on sentence/paragraph.

Well, in other news, I have some plans for the long holidays, now that I have this time on my hands. (As I said before, it's hard to imagine having so much time after being stuck in school all this time, sad but true.)

Oh, and a big congratulations to terra for her announcement of going to New Zealand on her exchange trip.

Hmm-mmmm...

Well, guess whose birthday it was today?

It wwas pretty cool, I must admit. I had a party where I invited friends from my old school and new school, they didn't talk much to each other, though, so it was awkward when we all got into a room.

On the plus side, I got a great gift...A new PC. Haven't got any internet on it, though, so I'll have to wait and continue using this thing to go on the net.

Well, I have tomorrow free, and then three more days of three hour exams before I can go for Christmas...

Damn, life rocks this time of year.

Sparring

An activity on OB that I like to participate in every once in awhile. Basically an RPG, except the characters fight each other and the Arena mod, Chaos, decides the winner based on post quality and such.

My first, only, and therefore most memorable spar was against terra, using AC's. She won that one, but it was great and I really enjoyed it. Why do I bring this up? I just made an open spar in Battle Arena the other day, and it's just starting now.

To be honest, won or lose, I enjoy spars most when I am against people who are better than me. That way, we can work at it, and win or lose I like the way it went. One of the prime examples I follow about the journey, not the destination, that counts.

Oddly enough, one of the people whom I have been most curious about in Battle Arena is Arcadia. I know she's a good writer, and I've never seen her in a spar. If you're reading this, Arcadia, maybe you ought to fight me sometime. Just a thought.

OB Misconceptions

This past week, I have been going through a weird dilemma concerning writing.

As you may know, I love to write, and sparring and RPing on OB are two of my favorite things to do. However, I have only just begun to truly appreciate how difficult it is to write a story that the average person (otaku or no) can understand and enjoy. This past week, we have begun writing short storis in my English class, and I am finding it difficult to break my OB "fantasy style" and working on stories that hit a little closer to reality. Furthemore, we are learning more about description and the meaning behind it, and most of my OB posts are just advancements in the story and details, in my opinion. There is really no hidden meaning or story behind what I write here, just details.

This has become real strange for me, and although I have no intention of leaving OB, I have to say that excessive RPs created quite a misconception of the idea of "writing" for me. If I want to do better in English, and pursue my dream of becoming a writer, something has to be done.

Hopefully I'll be able to increase my marks in English in the future, but until then, I have some work to do on separating my OB writing and regular writing. How does everyone else feel about this? Does anyone have problems keeping their "OB side" in check at times?

Hopefully I will be able to set myself straight soon, and until then, I always have other things to keep me occupied, like my birthday next week.

   *YAWN*

*zzzzzz*
What? Oh, hi...

I cannot believe I managed to make it to the weekend at last. Between play practise, two long projects for History and Ethics, and other scattered homework, I was completely drained this past week. Thrusday night I had a show that lasted until 10 and a project due the next day, so I got to sleep...around 2 A.M.

It was a cool play, though. The production was a total of eight short plays ranging from 5 to 20 minutes in length, and the plays were:
-Death Knocks
-Clear Glass Marbles
-The Flying Machine
-The Wright Brothers' First Flight
-How He Lied To Her Husband
-Mistake
-Guillotine
-15 Minute Hamlet

It was a great production and a great experience, though. I was in "Wright Bros." and "Mistake". Wright Bros. was done radio play style, with all of us reading our scripts in front of the audience with a sound effects table on the side. The idea being that the people could just ignore what was going on onstage and listen. "Mistake" was a prison drama, and it was about three prisoners, who operate under a leader whom they call "King", and when a new inmate, unable to speak English, does not say anything when King talks, King takes it as an insult and beats the new guy to death. On our closing night, no one applauded when the play ended, and it was a good thing because it proved that we shocked them.

Anyway, I plan to relax and see my friends this weekend (apparently they have an MSN conversation they want to sell me.) I'll do my best to post in RP's, so please bear with me, those whom I have ignored for the past week...

*zzzzzzz*
