myO, the bastard kid no one updates...
Today’s OCRemix: Screw that, I'm way too tired, I'll give you guys two mixes next time.
Well, while I am still concious, and being fueled by nothing but replaying "Gradiusic Cyber [AMD G5 Mix]" by BIG-O featuring DJ TAKA and "Electro Tuned [The SubS Mix]" by TaQ, I figure I'll give you guys the details of the rest of my vacation, but you'll forgive me if the rest seems illegible.
Ok, first thing that happened was our flight leaving was "retarded"...
Ok, before I continue I should explain myself: for those of you who probably failed to get the "retarded" humour, the joke is that, being from a Montreal airport, everything is displayed in French, primarily, and "retard" in French means "late", or "delay". Since the spelling is exactly the same, it's easy to form an inter-language pun....or is that outer-language?
Anyway, since it was late, my dad and I decided to bet on the time we check into the hotel, since our flight was to leave at 2:30, my dad bet we would check in at 12:40, Portugal (Azores) Time (G.M.T. -1 hour). I bet on 11:30, so the deal was that if we arrived before 12:05, I win, and if after, he won. The deal was that the winner would get to claim he is "always right" for the duration of the vacation.
We arrived at 11:30...I won.
Anyway, after the excruciating task of getting all the stuff upstairs, (we overpacked), I decided to indulge in one of the greatest delights of our vacation, and opened a bottle of "Kima de Maracuja", a passion-fruit carbonated juice that is undoubtedly one of the best reasons for going there, other than to visit my grandma.
Anyway, the next morning we visited my "Avo" (grandma), and we were recieved by the sight of her in a wheelchair. My mother had left a week ahead of the rest of us, so she warned us about this. Avo is getting more frail every year, and it's quite...humbling, to see my Avo like that, very sad.
After the initial week, in which we ate and drank at some of the best restaurants in town, (and I updated.) We headed for our usual trip to the countryside, whereupon I got sick after four days. We headed to the hospital, since my fever hadn't gone down for two days, and I was prescribed more pills for sinusitis, which is usually what does this to me. However, after we returned from the country, I began experiencing an allergic reaction to the pills, and when we went to the city hospital and waited around for seven hours in the E.R., where no one moved. After leaving, having given up, we passed a local pharmacy, and the doctor behind the counter took one look at me, said it was not an allergic reaction, and prescribed me something for the rash on my skin.
...so, I waited 7 hours in the E.R., only to give up and then be treated by a pharmacist in thirty seconds...I hate that kind of vacationing.
Anyway, during the third week, we got to meet my newborn cousin Ines for the first time, and witnessed her baptism in a Portuguese church. I haven't gone to a local church in a while, but in all likelihood: Portuguese church > all other churches.
Anyway, we attended a nice party after the actual event, but the heat was rather overwhelming, so I wasn't quite feeling myself the whole time. Food was good, though.
Finally, we had to say goodbye to my Avo, who was heartbroken. It was sad to see her like that, since, to be honest, I'm note sure how many more visits we can make like this, and my mom seemed especially depressed. It was unusual, but I did my best to try and reassure her, and, of course, had to display my unbeatable sense of humour, and made another bet with my dad on our arrival time: After 10:07:30, I win, before, he wins, wager: bragging rights for the rest of the summer.
After an especially tedious flight, during which I actually failed to fall asleep, we landed, and the captain announced:
"The local time is 10:10..."
What can I say, I'm always right.
so, we've been home for four days now, and since I am falling asleep at the keyboard-thingy, I'll cut it off now and give you guys more details some other time.
And now...this is exactly how legible I feel right now:
"I AM THE BLACK MAGE, I CASTS THE SPELLS THAT MAKES THE PEOPLES FALL DOWN!"
Black Mage, 8-bit Theater
For those who don't know, 8-bit theater owns all and your firstborn children.
