...I laugh at the public school system.
Today’s OCRemix: "Mystic Mountain (2LATE Mix)" Final Fantasy Mystic Quest Remix by Beatdrop and mp and "Electrion" Seiken Densetsu 3 Remix by FIDGAF and TO. There, I did it, two damn remixes in one damn day, it was a difficult job, and I don't think my sanity will ever be the same, but there you have it. However, it didn't exactly hurt that they both rock, at least, to a crazy person. First up we deal with "Mystic Mountain" which is from one of my...more unusual choices in gaming, FFMQ. The whole thing sounds pretty artificial, as though not made with the best synth program in the world, but you can't deny that it has a lot of bang to it. has a nice setup at the beginning, with breakbeat-stlye...wind? and some of that heavy synth bass drum, and a very bizzare snare roll that you'd have to hear to believe. FFMQ wasn't the best game, but I have to appreciate that people can make remixes of it. Second up, we have "Electrion", featuring...well...primarily a joke that djpretzel made about his air conditioner. That aside, the mix itself is something from beyond this world, including a distant opening chord, and heavy bass, unusual hip-hop style drums, and a distant vibe sound that reminds me oddly of the Tenchu series. Sit back, cool off, and enjoy.
Well, I can sit back in perfect comfort, whilst almost everyone else I know has to go to crappy public school. This gives me, naturally, more time to work on myO, as well as RPGs, and maybe even bagpipes.
In the meantime, I thought I could temporary divert the attention of all you people in PC land to a little news of new projects I've got going on. And maybe just enough space for some stupid filler, (or is that the other way around?)
Anyway, since I was sick and had nothing much else to do, I thought I would begin constructing my newest plot for an RPG, the inspiration of which came from my last school year, and the idea for it's development linked directly to an idea that Alex built up for a spar I'm in with him, terra and Balmon (Phil). I hope they doesn't mind.
I might put up some info in Underground in a little while, so I'd rather not divulge too many details, but it revolves around filmmaking and scriptwriting, so although the general outline is set by me, the direction of plot goes more towards the participants than just myself.
It's a little more complex than most other RPGs, since communication and direction goes more between the other writers among themselves than me to them, and I thought it would be interesting to see just how someone could handle that type of hands-off approach on the creator's part. It seems to me that trying to work the plot in the direction of the main group of writers rather than the creator of the RPG itself is a bit more difficult since, in my experience, participants in an RPG seem less willing to advance the story than the creator. furthermore, I've always wanted to try thinking outside the box, so to speak, and be a little more innovative with the basic structure of an RPG, both in plot and uniqueness of appearance.
Well, if you guys want to say anything about it, feel free to write something here or in Underground. I'm also gonna try and use some HTML know-how in this thing too, so you might catch me experimenting here.
On a side note, I'm also trying my hand at some Naruto fan fiction. For those of you who might not have seen Naruto in the past, I find it to bee a good series because of innovation in battle, using very different types of techniques and combat skills, using both your wits and strength against your opponent, innovation. I thought it would be perfect.
Hell, you might see that here, too.
Why oh why is it that everytime I come to update, I always feel that I'm forgetting something? It sucks even worse that I know I'm going to remember it the moment I finish this stupid post.
Oh well, nothing more to be done here, I hope to catch you guys looking at my RPG ideas in the future.
