I don't know if I should dance, cry, or vomit.
Today's OCRemix: "Little Mac's Confession" Punch Out! Remix by Game Over. This mix nearly gave me heart failure the first time I saw, and heard it. I don't know too much about the world, but I now realize that some people can be just dedicated to what they do. Take Game Over, our featured artist, for example. Apaprently, Game Over is a Swedish heavy metal band that only plays music from video games, and, on occasion, submits their work to OCR. There is no word, phrase, or hyperbole in any of the three and a half languages I am familliar with accurate enough to describe how awe-inspiring that is. Who ever heard of a heavy metal band so dedicated to their video game style? Well, now you do. As for the mix itself, features light reverb guitar at the beginning (with some very odd EQ) and eventually turns into a veritable slugfest, so to speak, of vocals from one of the more impressive OCR voices I've ever heard, and then goes from solo to solo at breakneck pace. Enjoy.
Well, life sure can make you feel weird sometimes, huh? You can work for a while at something you love, and sometimes it just doesn't pay back qhite the way you hoped, but when you think you did terribly, that's when it can surprise you with how things end up turning out. Bad use of language aside, I was more than a little shocked at some of the results I got back from my exams.
All of the following events may not make much sense to you, as I have not mentioned it much recently, but my goal going into my final exams was to leave with a total combined average of 85% for each of my six classes, so that I may earn an academics tie for my efforts.
First of all, Chem went a little worse than I had claimed to some people. I only got an 82% on my final theory exam, despite the fact that I understood nearly everything on it. Furthermore, having been convinced that Economics should have gone smoothly, I was told that I got a 77 on my final. 77...when I get 85s on regular exams without studying and I studied for hours the night before to get stuff right. Go figure.
The real kicker came with Math, however, as I was told that my final average, even with extra homework papers completed and everything, turned out to be 80%, so I had to get something in the 85 range if I hoped to stay in the race for the tie. Despite the fact that I was convinced that my test was abysmal, I got back a result of 83. Not bad at all...
Well, as I said, once all the reports came in the other day, I wasn't too sure how to react, everything I thought went well went...rather poorly, and everything I should have done a little worse on turned out quite well. I was sort of numb when all my results finally came in, few of them expected, most of them unexpected. I was feeling a bit conflicted, but, I now know what I can do better next time.
Oh, and my final average...
