Huh...
Wow, It's 2:30 and I just woke up, just another example of the kind of week I've had. (hey, even if I go to bed at 3 a.m., I still usually get up by noon.)

Anyway, this week was, thankfully, a short week for school, but it was certainly no less hectic. We had a winter Carnival this year (as we do every year) and it lasts three days. On the first day, we had classes till noon, then we went to go watch "The Great Race" in which some poor people were forced to run an obstacle course outside...in -20 degree weather...in two feet of snow.

After having a good laugh at their expense, we went inside and had a great costume party, where we all had to dress up like stars from some TV show or movie, as that was the theme of the carnival. I went as Matt Hardy from the WWE, since I was lucky enough to find a shirt of his in my posession. We then had an auction in which cool baked items were for sale, among other things, and my friend was fortunate enough to win two loaves of bread and a giant box full of junk food. It was cool to watch. After that, we went to dinner and ate until we felt sick, then had to each go to our houses to practice the house skits. In ours, I played a bootleg ticket seller who ended up pissing off a group of communists who then went of to build a tank (yes, we built a tank out of wood for the skit) and kill the cast of American Idol, then burst into Michael Jackson's house to take the most powerful item in the world, the Ross (my house) House's Spirit Stick. After that, it was a battle between Michael Jackson, George Bush, and the Commies for the stick, and then our house teacher jumped up out of the audience and began giving one of his famous astronomy lectures (since the theme of Carnival was STARS) scaring everyone, even the tank, away. It was funny, as, for my costume, I wore a box with a hole cut in it over my head, and another box around my body, featuring the caption "Tikit Master". There was a whole lot more, as, Kurt Cobain of Nirvana rose from the dead to appear on American Idol, and was shot down by Simon Cowell (figuratively) and the tank (literally). James bond and Ghandi came out to try and stop the tank, but they were both flattened, and a young hobbit, Meagol, was captured by Michael Jackson because he posessed the awesome power of the Spirit Stick (remember, this was just rehearsal, the real show came on Friday).

The next day, we had a lot of obstacle courses to participate in, and I played Earthball (soccer with a six foot in diameter ball) and Broomball (hockey with plastic sticks shaped like brooms). After that, we all went inside and played on a giant inflated fun park the school rented for us, which I liked to call "the washing machine" as afterwards, I came out so dizzy I had a headache. After that, each of the houses went to play Tug Of War in the snow, where Ross House made history. We happened to be good friends with another house, Chapman, so when it was our turn to battle, Ross won round one, Chapman won round two, and then when round three came along, we all dropped the rope and left. We told the Headmaster what happened, and the thought it was hilarious, now Chap-Ross relations are better than ever, and we are now the only houses to have ever scored a tie in Tug Of War. We practiced our skits again (and ordered pizza) and then went home to collapse.

On the last day, I went in early so I could have breakfast, and practice the skit one more time. Around 11:00, we went into the gym to watch other skits, and then present our own, it was really cool, and I'm sure we got points for our tank. After that, we all went to eat our last meal at school, and then the buses left for the airport, and Ross students went back home. Now, I have a four-day weekend, and so I decided to start an RPG to comemmorate my good mood (see below post for details)

Have a beautiful weekend everyone, best wishes from your local frozen wasteland!
