Yes, it's about those freakin vote/comment debate crap
Ok, yes it's true artists are under-rated and over-rated but the whole "People never vote on art anymore" is bugging the living hell out of me because it is not entirely true that art from two years ago have more votes than today because of the fact people are lazy nowadays. Other reasons for more recent art to have less votes are because:

1. Have you noticed that now art has a couple months time limit of when you can vote on them ? Like pictures from 6 months ago say "Voting has ended for this picture" Well 2 years ago the Otaku did not have that time limit, so no matter how old that picture was you could vote on it. Which could be why older art has more votes because they had a longer chance for people to vote on it

2. Remember when the voting on the Otaku used to be: Do You like this picture ? 'Yes' or 'No' Which meant people could vote on the picture even if they didn't like it. But now the Otaku changed the voting to only if you like the picture. And the pictures that were submitted before that change now have the total votes of the Yes AND the No's which is why their votes are higher.

Sorry for the rant but from what I know, I am the only one who has this opinion. I hope my explanations were somewhat clear to understand, if you're really new to the Otaku you wouldn't understand my point. But for those of you who have been here at the Otaku for a couple years then I hope you take those reasons into consideration the next time you think that people nowadays don't vote anymore.

But hey, if you REALLY want to make it onto the featured fanart, than just draw something related to Naruto and that'll get you 20 votes just for neing Naruto XD

Oh, and just for the record, my more recent art gets WAYYY more votes than my older ones, SO HAH ! XP
