Okay, I think I figured it out: I'm not lonely. I'm just horny with a butt-load of self-doubt.
I don't know, maybe there's some alcove in my teenage angst-filled mind that sub-consciously decides that if no one tells my I'm hott or pretty,or whatever within a certain time-range, than I must not be pretty/hott/whatever.
