Radio Ga Ga's broadcast don't cut it no more.
Baby boy's got me caught up in another lawsuit,
And the clothes don't quite fit the season,
The strait-jacket doesn't fit the convict.
Might as well banish me to Planet Mercury
And watch me burn and suffocate with a smile on this so-called "inadequate" face.
Yeah, he might have the last laugh,
But that's only because he just now got the joke.
I'm in the misery business, too, and I'm feeling so good right now,
they'll probably fire me,
But I know even as I laugh myself to sleep that the hours of misery to come will more than make up for the minute or 2 of euphoria.
Still, I won't fix a thing.
Like a nutcracker doll, I only spring up to be knocked right back down again.
This emotional rollercoaster,
it's not a fun ride, but it's a great life.
The little red lawyers with their halos tilted atop their horns and the little boys beneath the skins of men who are too afraid to burn like me will never know the warmth of the sun or the Son.
And for that, I am truly sorry.
