Hehe. I’m really happy today. By some weird coincidence I’ve had a test in every subject (except math) the past few days. It’s such a relief to have all of that behind me. The only one I’ve gotten back is the US history test (multiple choice only, we haven’t gotten the written part back yet) and the Physics test. I got a 100 on US, and 90-something on the physics (2 wrong). The Biology test was easy too, but I haven’t gotten it back yet. I get my Latin test back next period, didn’t do so great on that, but hopefully I passed. The English test on Macbeth was fair, so I probably got 80-something on that. Also, my loathed Science Research teacher is out today, attending a lecture at a local college, so I don’t have to deal with her! -^^- Also, I got a letter in the mail saying that I can apply for the National Honors Society because I managed to pull off an A average. Meets tomorrow. Hope I get in, ‘cause I gotta write an essay, and I’m not the best essay writer.
Other Stuff
Never got around to visiting you guys the other day, sorry. ^^” I’ll do that tonight if I don’t have much homework. My friend Ambi-chan’s birthday just passed, though she’s never on MyO anymore, I’d like to wish her a very happy birthday in my post anyways. Veoh changed their video policy, so now you only get a 5-minute preview of any video that’s over 20 minutes, which is the vast majority of anime episodes, that is—unless you download their program (and my computer’s old and won’t run the program >_<), besides I liked watching anime online… Made me sorta pissed, but it’s not too bad, I just need to find another website (that’s better quality than YouTube), that doesn’t run DivX, because for some reason, DivX just doesn’t work on my computer. I love my computer though, even if it is getting sorta old, it works pretty well for most things that aren’t videos. ♥ Because I’m writing in class, I should probably start working now. I'm glad you guys all liked my new theme. It is pretty, isn't it? I'm going to see if I can fix the IE look at some point this weekend. I also got the sheet to drop a class. I made a deal with my parents (who have to sign the sheet in order for me to drop) that I'd continue Research this year, and take Latin up again next year (I'm dropping it). I also joined the Chemistry Club (aka the "Blow Shit Up" Club), and re-joined the Dungeons and Dragons Club.

Life
Nothing happening here. I'm going to go to my guidance counselor tomorrow to request that I drop my Science Research Class, so that I can actually have a lunch period. Our teacher lets us eat in class, but it's just not the same. Besides for an elective course, it takes up so much time! More than my core courses! >_< I really need to drop something, because I can't continue to have a class every period of the day every day, else I'll collapse into a pile of stress. The other choice is Latin class, but latin is my favorite subject, and it doesn't take up much time. People who want me to keep it argue that science research would look good on my college resume, but there are other ways to build a resume, aren't there? I really think I'm going to drop the class.

Gotta find something to do about that. I really don't like having a schedule so packed that I have only 1 free a week and no lunch period! >_< it's annoying. But that's why I'm seeing my guidance councelor after school today. Oh well, I'm enjoying my free period while it lasts, by updating my conveniently unblocked homepage! ^_____^ I'm really glad the school has blocked MyOtaku yet.
New Friends!
Before I get around to talking, I'd like to say hi to my new friends! I was feeling adventurously impulsive the other day, and decided to go out and sign guestbooks, and make new friends! I'm really too shy for my own good (sometimes, and sometimes I'm just antisocial XD), so I don't do this very often. Anyways, I think I told you guys that I know you guys through "Ambi-chan". She's an offline friend of mine, so usually forget to call her by her username "Olette". But anyways, it's nice to meet you guys, and I hope to get to know you all better, because you seem like nice people! -^^-
Life, school, blah... XP
Not much going on my life. I've pretty much been caught up with just school. Which is stressful and boring, with the exception of Latin class, because the Romans rock! XD At the rate it's going, I predict Latin is going to remain my favorite class for at least the reest of the year. ♥
I think the class the makes me laugh though, is US History. There are just little nuiances about history that are hilarious if you look at it the right way.
Ex1: A few drunk idiots started harassing some soldiers. Supposedly it was verbal taunts, snowball throwing, and rock throwing. The soldiers got pretty pissed and shot a few of them.
The scene was goes down in history as the "Boston Massacre", and the drunk idiots are described as "dying for their country"! XD (we're covering the American revolution right now)
Random fact: The guy on the "Sam Adams" brand beer bottle is actually Paul Revere. XD You know, there were actually 3 guys who alerted the town, but Paul Revere is the only one that books ever seem to talk about. Also, I heard someone paid him to make the alert, but that's just hearsay. ^^"
Movies
The Fullmetal Alchemist Movie is playing at my local movie theater at a special showing tomorrow night. I wanna go so badly! I hope I don't have too much homework.
I saw a satisfying movie the other day (at the expense of my Physics homework). It was titled "Balzac and the Little Seamstress". It was in Chinese with English subtitles.

Not much going on in my life, but yesterday was fun. Every month, we go to the city to by Chinese food at the Asian market. Guess what day that turned out to be this month? That's right, yesterday! *beams* Going to the Asian market is always fun. I wish I knew how to read Chinese though, it would make things easier, so I could read labels instead of having to guess at what things are; or speak Cantonese so I could ask someone. >_> Well anyways, I got to buy myself some goodies (though sadly, no mochi ice cream) including:

Those sugary rice cakes (with raisins) I like... the package says "sachima"

While we were there, we also went to the Chinese hair salon. I love my new haircut. It's short and layery, and looks really cool with my bangs. It looks sorta like this, only my hair is dark brown with red bangs.

Well, my essays were due on Friday, and they're still not done. O_o I've honestly been trying to finish, but... I'm doomed. T-T And it's my own fault. I hope it doesn't affect my grade as much as I think it will. *sigh* I'm an idiot sometimes. I hope I can stay in the course, and won't have to drop it.
Latin
School has been rather uneventful, with the exception of my overdue essays. I had my first Latin quiz the other day. I just switched over from Spanish class. My Latin teacher seems really cool. We had the most random conversation about how the plural of "octopus" is not "octopi". "Octopi" he says is based on a misinterpretation of a Latin rule, and that the formal plural should be "Octopodes", but no one uses that so we really can just say "Octopuses" like we originally wanted to before someone decided to incorrectly correct us. XD Isn't that the most random conversation? It makes me laugh.
Other random things about Latin: It doesn't matter what order the words are in, so long as they're conjugated correctly. The Romans obviously did not believe in periods, friends who took the class in the past told me that they'd often read an entire long paragraph with only 1 or 2 periods! Also, there is only 1 form of "to be", and only 1 way to say "you", unlike in spanish class, where we spent an entire unit on "ser vs estar" (the two ways to say "to be").
Sorry I haven't been visiting lately. I've been rather stressed about school. I know that's a bad excuse, but I'll try to see you all when I find the time (and energy, since I have to get up early again XP)

School started again yesterday, and my wonderful summer vacation is finally over. *sigh* Unfortunately, I've procrastinated my 4 essays for AP Biology until the last day. *sweatdrop* Yes, it's an awful lot to do in 2 days, especially since I've had two months to do it. -_-" On the bright side, it's nice to have something constructive to do with my time, and my teachers seem nice. I wish I had a lunch period... Science Research class overlaps my lunch. I have a pretty full day. So what is my schedule this year?

Well, it's my third day back home, and I am truly enjoying my lazy days here. ^____^ *lazily content* I'm glad you liked my new Osaka (Azumanga Daioh) theme, even though I was too lazy to create a new layout. For those of you who missed last post, my mom's 20th (hehe XD) birthday is this Friday. I think I want to make her a cake, and a card.
Yesterday
Didn't really do much yesterday. Created a belated birthday card for my friend Hiko-kun, hope you liked it. ^_~ In the card creating process I found out what a joy pre-made transparent PNGs are. It saved me so much work, because I suck at extraction, and it can take me hours to do. So I did a google search and discovered a bunch of great sites for PNGs and anime art galleries. Which resulted in a huge raid, where I downloaded like a million pics!

Yes, I am so happy to be back home again. I just came back from visiting more family (soon to leave again to visit even more family... -_-") I don't have much to say about this past week, because I haven't really done anything interesting. I really missed my internet though, since I was supposed to be spending "quality time" with my family, I couldn't go online. Today, I think I'll be a good girl, and comment on the posts of everyone who updated.
