Good morning! *yawn* Sorry I've been so bad about visiting these days. Well, I finally finished my new layout. I might put a few more things in later if I get bored, but this is pretty much it. How do you like it? I dedicated an entire post to it yesterday (I put it below for you to see).
Today is my last day of tests and school. After today, I never have to think again, until September. XD I have my chemistry regents today. I think I'll do okay, we get reference tables with the test.

Now, at 8:14 EST, I am finally and completely done! -^^- I have single-handedly hand coded this page, well, with the help of my good friend Google. XD I spent an extremely long time trying to position it EXACTLY the way I wanted it.
What I like best about my layout:
I positioned it so you can see the text in the top-right corner of the wallpaper (if your monitor's big enough)

What I like best about my layout:

I have a semitransparent background (a troublesome task in IE6 >_<)
I got rid of those annoying scrollbars (at least in IE6, I dunno about other browsers)
I think my layout is small enough to fit in any screen size
I got rid of the default MyO stuff
I got my CSS to work without messing up MyO! -^^-
When you think about it, it's not that great, but still, I feel accomplished! I managed to get MyO to be nice to me! -^^-
Hello. I'm suprised, I didn't think anyone would comment while I was changing my layout. I'm still working on that by the way. >_> It's taking long than I thought.
Today I have to finish an essay that was due when class ended: friday before last. -_-u I forgot all about it.
My layout should be done in a few hours, after I finish that essay (or possibly before, knowing my horrible work ethics XD). I'll put up another post when it's done, okay? My comments are acting sorta weird with the new layout, I'm going to install a Haloscan later. So if it doesn't work, you can come back later, or if you really want to you can send me a PM.

Good morning! You're going to enjoy my post today! Lots of fun images! I took out my table so you could see them better. -^^- Anyways, it's Thursday, and I don't have to go to school. Because I don't have any finals today, I am free to stay home and sit on my lazy bum all day. ^____^
Wallpaper
Before I move on, I'd like you to take a look at this pretty wallpaper I found. It features the characters of Clannad, which is by the same company that made Air. It's a japanese video game (sorta), but it's supposed to be turned into an anime later this year, according to a couple websites I've looked at. I wonder if it's any good? I sorta wanna see it, except that if it doesn't get released until the fall in Japan, then it's probably gonna be like a year or something before it gets English subs. This is one of those times where I sorta wish I knew Japanese, except that I suck at foreign language. I mean, if Spanish is a struggle, Japanese would be next to impossible.
Air:
I've spent my free time in the past few days obsessively purging the internet for more anime images to add to my collection (it's sort of a hobby of mine). I came accross a really great Air site during the process and signed up for MiniTokyo.net. Makes me happy. -^^- So I added a bunch of Air pictures to my already big collection. As of today I have 30 Air wallpapers, and 54 miscellanious Air pics. That makes 84 images in total! Check it out! -^^-
*Note: I've set my images to automatically appear in 150x200 size, so some of the images aren't proportioned very nicely. To see them in their full size and dimension click on them, and it'll open up a new window containing the image.
Art Frustrations:
Yet again, I feel like changing my layout. Only this time I want to do it completely from scratch. I'm trying to create a new banner, only I suck at digital imaging. Right now I'm trying to cut out Misuzu from a picture so that I can put her on the banner. It's not going so great. >__< Is there any easy way to cut out the character without having to manually paint the entire background, so that you can make that color transparent? It's really annoying because it's JPEG, so it's all pixelated. Although, the bigger problem is that I just plain suck at digital imaging.

Ugly isn't it? And this is after several hours of failed attempts to bribe my computer (with chocolate chip cookies) to be nice to me. I wonder if I would be able to do something good if I had (or could at least afford) an expensive image program, like Photoshop or Illustrator?

Finals:
So far my finals are alright. I already know I got a 90 on my chem final (we took it in class before finals week started). And although my second English essay was rushed, I think I did okay overall. Math was a lot easier than I thought it would be. I think I did well on those finals.
I don't know about my Global Regents though (the Regents is a NY state test). My essay on King Henry VIII was really offtopic. I was supposed to be saying something important about political changes. Only my mind blanked out so I just rambled for a while about the whole 6 wives thing. I suppose that's not bad in theory, except that they like to fail off-topic essays.
I have my Spanish Regents tomorrow. I'm worried. To put it simply, I can't speak spanish. I'll consider myself lucky if I pass.
Since I finally have the time I'm going to go visit sites today. No, I'm not going to study for my Spanish Regents. I hate studying, and I'll probably fail whether I study or not. Anyways, I'll see you then!

Sorry for my lack of posts and comments lately. It's finals week and stuff, so I 've been busy making attempts at studying. (keyword: "attempts" >_> I lack the attention to really study) The good news is that I got a 90 on my chemistry final. I don't have another test until Tuesday.
Last day of class was Friday. It was mostly parties and doing nothing. -^^- Last day of class though. It should make me ecstatic. But for some reason, it makes me feed depressed, like I wasted my year. T-T School isn't exactly my favorite place in the world, but still...
I've started reading The Ultimate HitchHiker's Guide by Douglas Adams, the series that HitchHiker's Guide to the Galaxy is in. Right now I'm on the second novel, The Resteraunt at the End of the Universe. Anyways, it has shed new light on what I want to do with my life--

Not much really happened for the remainder of my school week. Go in. Sleep through class. Go out. Well... we got to learn about atomic bombs in chem class! That was fun! X3 We also had a big earth day celebration on Friday.
Friday/Earth Day

Well, Friday was Earth Day. Actually, no it wasn't. Earth Day already passed a long time ago. My school just celebrates Earth Day on May 26 for some inexplicable reason.
It was fun because a bunch of my teachers decided to take us out to the celebration outside. Probably because they didn't want to be stuck teaching a bunch of obnoxious high-schoolers, when they could be outside, hanging out and gossiping with the other teachers who also decided to go outside and not work. X3
I didn't really take part in the party/activities (too antisocial, and I hate crowds). But I found myself a nice secluded corner in the shade, and got to read for a while, without anyone bothering me. It was nice. Warm too. It must've been in the high 80s. I love hot weather! ¢¾
Our "earth" day really was more a "hang-out-in-the-courtyard" day.

Not much happening on Saturday. The highlight was that I got to go to a Barnes and Nobles bookstore, and bought that book I've been wanting for a while.
The JavaScript Bible Sixth Edition

I'm trying to learn JavaScript, so I bought a really big and detailed book to teach me. -^^-
I also got to read several manga comics while I was there, including The Gentleman's Aliance #1 and Nana #1. I have to say, I really hated the first Nana comic. Nana is a series a follow, and I started somewhere in the middle. But wow, if I started on book 1, I probably never would've continued reading the series. ^^"
While I was at the bookstore, I saw this really funny scene. There were these two girls, probably about my age, give or take a little. But they were just so stereotypically preppy and ditzy, that I wanted laugh. Both were dressed in trendy clothing and giggling over some guy on the cover of a popular magazine (don't remember what magazine). I heard the phrases "like" and "oh my god" a lot too. It was like something out of a movie. XD This is the weird alien species known as my peers. *sweatdrop* I hope to dear god that I never turn out like that. But then again, this is the antisocial part of me that's talking. If for some odd reason I became possessed with the sudden desire to become popular and trendy, I wonder if I could ever fit in with people like that? They seem to be a foreign species whose behavior is beyond comprehension. Well actually, it's more like I'm the alien studying the lives and behavior of the community's wildlife in its natural habitat, as opposed to inside my comfortable bubble. XD

We went to the Asian grocery store to stock up on Asian food, and ate at a Chinese Dim Sum resteraunt. I treated myself to eggtarts and almond tofu and ai yu jelly. Not that anyone knows what that is, but it's tasty.
I also went to see Pirates of the Carribean 3! It was awesome! I really loved it! Best movie I've seen in so long! I rate it 11/10! ¢¾ Also the first movie in a while to completely hold my attention for 100% of the time. Lotta drama and action. ^_~ It's very rare for me to rave about a movie, but I really liked this one! I hope they don't make a crappy sequel, PC4, because that would just ruin everything, after a really great ending (well I guess it wouldn't be an ending if they made a crappy sequel).
I only have one question about the movie. Whatever happens to the main character, Elizabeth? When the movie ends, she's on a romantic sunset island. That makes a cute ending, but what happens then? Does she just hang out on the island or what? I don't think she had a boat, or maybe she did... I can't remember. ^^" Was it even an island? *sweatdrop*

I got bored and started taking online IQ tests for fun. (god I'm weird) As far as I'm concerned it's just a free ego-booster. Most of them probably aren't accurate, and I didn't get results for most of them either, because they make me pay to see what I scored. (meanies)
The only one I really remember was the tickle IQ test. That's because they sent me an email saying

I took a different IQ test (Ticle Super IQ Test) on the same website and scored 113. I don't know what that means, except that it's probably not a great idea to trust web results. ^^" I'm relatively smart, but I'm not that smart.
I read a chapter about IQ and intelligence in the Encyclopedia. The entire chapter was mostly going in circles, concluding that no one knows what intelligence is, because they can never get the psychologists to agree with each other. XD It struck me as really funny. How can you have a test claiming to measure something, if you don't even know what that something is? ^^"
When you think about it, the whole situation is stupid because they're trying to set concrete definitions, limits, and boundaries for a generalization, because "intelligent" is a very vague word to begin with.
What is the world more divided up in: religion or science? A few centuries ago we were burning people at the stake for witchcraft and heresy. Who knows, in a few more centuries, maybe the world will blow itself to bits with atomic bombs, over the string theory or something. ^^"

Ugh. In other news, the Science Research Symposium last night, was completely nerve racking, and I'm completely exhausted. It's not like I did an oral presentation or anything. I just have a way of getting extremely nervous over the stupidest things.
My presentation board was far from the worst there, it actually good, minus the small fact that I didn't explain anything on it, or put up any conclusions. But who cares about information? A long chain of numbers looks good too. XD
Yeah, I really hated the way my board came out. I wanted to rip it to shreds, and then soak the shreds in lighter fluid, and burn them to ashes, and then bury the ashes in some random place far far far away. (can someone say overkill?) I hate my papers too.
I'm told it looked scientific because I had complicated numbers and diagrams. Until they started looking for my "conclusions" section. ^^" I also hate crowds. They make me nervous. And I had a mountain of homework and projects to do.
I have to go. I'm late for class.

Random question:
Do you think that 9/10 of a penny is a stupid thing to put in (gas) prices? If something costs $2.999, and we pay $3, then we shoud get 1/10 of a penny back change. Only 1/10 pennies don't exist. XD The stupider thing is that people prefer to pay at a gas station charging $2.999 over the one across the street charging $3.00. I've seen it happen. Maybe it's not such a stupid idea after all considering that it seems to work. XD
