ADVENT CHiLDREN
My dad rented FFVII in English! yay, now I've seen both versions. There is a little more language in the English version (which is ANOTHER reason why the Japanese version is better! lol), and a few of the characters voices were off (didn't sound right for the character). Ohwell.
I'm reading a book called The Midnighters: The Secret Hour. I want to try to read the whole Midnighters series, since I like it thus far. It's kind of slow in the beginning, but you understand more that way :)
oh! Maximum Ride 2 is out!! I wanna get it! I loved "Angel Experiment," so I know that 2 will be AWESOME.
my lil' "BAR MAiD" costume is on the far right. My best friend is on the far left, and a sweet girl that was in my dorm in the middle.
you can't tell from this pic, but i was wearing combat boots under pants that touched the floor.
Nice to dance in? oh, yeah

WHY AMERiCA iS GOiNG DOWNHiLL?!!?!!
Some examples of why the human race has probably evolved as far as possible. These are actual instruction labels on consumer goods...
On Sears hairdryer:
Do not use while sleeping.
(Gee, that's the only time I have to work on my hair!)
On a bag of Fritos:
You could be a winner! No purchase necessary. Details inside.
(The shoplifter special!)
On a bar of Dial soap:
Directions: Use like regular soap.
(and that would be how?)
On some Swann frozen dinners:
Serving suggestion: Defrost.
(But it's 'just' a suggestion!)
On Tesco's Tiramisu dessert: (printed on bottom of the box)
Do not turn upside down.
(Too late! you lose!)
On Marks & Spencer Bread Pudding:
Product will be hot after heating.
(Are you sure? Let's experiment.)
On packaging for a Rowenta iron:
Do not iron clothes on body.
(But wouldn't that save more time?)(Whose body?)
On Boot's Children's cough medicine:
Do not drive car or operate machinery.
(We could do a lot to reduce the construction accidents if we just kept those 5 year olds off those fork lifts.)
On Nytol sleep aid:
Warning: may cause drowsiness.
(One would hope!)
On a Korean kitchen knife:
Warning: keep out of children.
(hmm...something must have gotten lost in the translation...)
On a string of Christmas lights:
For indoor or outdoor use only.
(As opposed to use in outer space.)
On a food processor:
Not to be used for the other use.
(Now I'm curious.)
On Sainsbury's peanuts:
Warning: contains nuts.
(but no peas?)
On an American Airlines packet of nuts:
Instructions: open packet, eat nuts.
(somebody got paid big bucks to write this one...)
On a Swedish chainsaw:
Do not attempt to stop chain with your hands.
(Raise your hand if you've tried this...)
On a child's Superman costume:
Wearing of this garment does not enable you to fly.
(Oh go ahead! That's right, destroy a universal childhood belief.)

iiiii'm Baaaaaaaaaack!!
Hey guys - it's nice to be back, but Crosswalk was soooooooooo fun!!oh i can't WAiT until November (next Crosswalk). I'm getting that pic of my costume, don't worry lol. Somebody thought I was a bar maid. . .me? a Bar Maid? Yeah, RiGHT! Not in your wildest fantasies.
Crosswalk Day 1:
Arrived, had a pizza dinner, and got to know my dormmates.
Crosswalk Day 2:
Had a Carnival for the little campers! ah - they were all so cute. . .there were lots of blow-up "rides," face painting, cotton candy, popcorn, snow cones. . .oh yeah. it was great fun.
Crosswalk Day 3:
Art class in the afternoon! woohoo! The five of us (all girls. . .all from the same city lol ironic, no?) Anyways, we painted ceramic things, weaved (or attempted to, at least!), and some ppl made those little bead things that you can melt the back with an iron and they stick together.
Day 3's Night worship service was the BEST!
It always is. We have a mosh pit and everything!
It's so cool.
Crosswalk Day 4:
The day we all leave. T T
We leave awhile after lunch. Nick (Crosswalk band Unified's electric guitarist) kept stealing my fedora!! well, yeah it's awesome, but he even got a little kid to take it from me! haha that was fun. I got it back though. i think he stold it like 3 times. . .then the bongo player got it on my face lol. Missed my head.
Anyways, hope you all had an awesome weekend! I know I did.

here are some quizzes i took:
You Are 26% Vain
|
Okay, so you're slightly vain from time to time, but you're not superficial at all.
You are realistic. You know that looks matter. You just try to make them matter less.
|
You Are 44% Open Minded
|
You aren't exactly open minded, but you have been known to occasionally change your mind.
You're tolerant enough to get along with others who are very different...
But you may be quietly judgmental of things or people you think are wrong.
You take your own values pretty seriously, and it would take a lot to change them.

SWiTCHFOOT AND WEEKENDS
Ello, people I don't know! lol...
I went to my cousin's house this weekend,
and we had a blast. She was having an
end-of-school party.
It was fun - music, music music; movies;
games; food (cookout included); and...
hm. I dunno. heh heh people I guess.
Anyways, here are some lyrics
from a(nother) song that I like:
DARE YOU TO MOVE - SWiTCHFOOT
Welcome to the planet
Welcome to existence
Everyone's here-
Everyone's here
Everybody's watching you now
Everybody waits for you now
What happens next?
iRiSH SONG
May there always be work for your hands to do;
May your purse always hold a coin or two;
May the sun always shine on your windowpane;
May a rainbow be certain to follow each rain;
May the hand of a friend always be near you;
May God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.

: PRAYER AND TRUTH :
God never promised days without rain,
Joy without sorrow,
Strength without pain-
But he did promise strength for the day,
Comfort for the tears,
And light for the way.
I KNOW that's off by a LOT from what the original says, but, ohwell.. I don't have the original on hand at the moment.
I Can Deal.
All boys are the same - they're all jerks at some time or another.
And they all get us to fall for them at one time or another.
