   Puppy Love (wolf's rain story)
PUPPY LOVE
~10 YEARS AGO~
Tsume and his younger sister Tsuki were now alone. Humans had slaughtered their whole pack, and had just made a narrow escape. They walked in the moonlight of the night quietly, thinking about what had happened. The howls of their fallen family and friends rung in their ears. every time they closed their eyes, they saw their mother and father (the alphas) fall with their pack.
Tears began to stream down Tsuki’s cheeks. “Stop crying!” Tsume commanded. “I’m soo tired though. I don’t want to keep going. I want to be with mommy again,” Tsuki complained. She sat down, no longer willing to move. Tsume stopped too. (He was walking ahead of her.) “I miss mom too,” he said quietly. When he said this, his first tear all night ran down his cheek. Tsuki had been crying the whole time. She walked closer to him. “Even daddy?” Tsume frowned at the alpha male being brought up and growled. When Tsume was younger, he couldn’t wait to take the pack from Tosukin. Even though he was their father, he was always distant from them. All the time Tsume wondered how his mother could have ever fallen in love with that ash gray wolf. He seemed so cold, even to her. Tsume already had plans to kick his father out of the pack as soon as he became alpha. Thinking about Tosukin made Tsume’s fur itch. He got up again and started walking off. Tsuki trudged along behind him.
“…..Hikari” Tsume finally said, “may she rest peacefully now.” Tsuki was quiet now. She no longer cried tears, but still let out soft whimpers. She missed her mother’s warm onyx black fur, the same color as her own, and her loving golden eyes. “I know you don’t really like father, but you should say a little prayer for him too,” suggested Tsuki. Tsume stayed quiet. “Fine then, I will,” stated Tsuki. “May he be strong and uh…..have peace too.” Tsume looked back at Tuki as she stumbled over words. There wasn’t much to say about their father. She didn’t know him well either. “Good going,” Tsume grinned sarcastically. “Leave me alone! At least I tried!”
