I just realized this yesterday

Those peppermint patties are such a money trap. When you eat one, everything you eat or drink right afterwards tastes horrible... except more peppermint patties. So if you want to eat more food, you just gotta eat more peppermint patties or wait until it wears off. Then when you want more a few days later or something, the ones you would've had leftover would be gone, and then you'd just have to go buy more. Those peppermint patty makers are crafty. We're on to you, oh makers of chocolate covered bite size peppermint treats... oh yeah, we're on to you.

I simply have too much free time I suppose.
