Well it turns out I may be able to get that house...
The owner called us back up this morning and wanted to see if she could strike another deal of some kind because the house has been on the market since last summer and hardly anyone's made any offers since it's been up, and she really doesn't want to let our offer go.
She declined our best offer because she want's to move out a month later than our lease runs out. We can't do that, so she's looking for a house. If she finds a house in the next couple of weeks, then I think she'll accept our offer, but if she doesn't find a house, then it's out of the question again.
btw oi! I can't believe I got 9 comments (excluding my own) on my last post, that was unheard of for me, the most I'd ever gotten before that was 7 and that was rare. o_o;
