~ part 13 ~
The thing that is most cherished is always the one that is forgotten first...
The hall was busiling with servants. Mokuba led me to the table and pointed to the chair to the right of Kaiba. With a look of complete bordom on my face, I sat down. He didn't say anything but started to eat the food that was already on his plate. I looked at the courses to choose from. I didn't much like any of them and didn't trust any of them either. After a long time of just stairing at my food, Kaiba finaly spoke.
"It won't kill you" seto said
"That is for me to decide" I replyed
"Whatever" he went back to eating.
Once he was finished he got up and waited for me. I stood and crossed my arms. His blue eyes just looked strait ahead as he walked away. I followed him down the halls until we came to his work room. Opening it he went to his chair and sat down. I walked in and a servant closed the door behind us.
"Did you have something to say to me?" I asked
He just sat there typing away at his computer. I rolled my eyes and sat down on one of sofas. Reclining into a laying position I waited until he was done. The ceiling was white, 'How boring.' I thought. The walls weren't decorated with any eye appealing essence to it either. The sofa could have done with some blankets too, because it was so ruff and hard. The ticking of the keyboard was getting annoying too. 'If he freeking wasn't going to talk to me then why am I even here?' I asked myself, sitting up. I looked over at him. He was still typing away at it. I got up off the sofa and headed toward the door.
"Where are you going?" Seto asked
I wasn't expecting him to talk so it kinda made me jump, "Away from here, why, do you care." It was a statement not a question.
He stood up and walked over to me. I crossed my arms again and put on an unhappy face. (-_-) I could feel his cold glare directed at me, but I was looking at the ground. Forcing myself to look up I meet his eyes. But he wasn't glaring at me, he was just looking. He raised his hand to the side of my face. I raised one eyebrow and before I knew what was happening he slapped me. A look of shock took over my face. I hadn't expected him to hit me. My hand was protectivaly over the sting. 'Damn, and that really hurt! Hes stronger than I thought he was. This is just great just freeking great.' I thought.
He grabbed my shoulders and threw me against one of the walls. I looked at him again. His face was full of pure rage
"Kaiba! what the Hell?!" I yelled
He took both of my wrists and pinned them against the wall with his left hand. With his other he grabed my chin.
"What the hell?" He said, "I'll tell you what the hell!" He let go of my chin and grabed my neck forcing my head back, "Did you forget who saved you? Then and now? Did you?"
"What are you talking about!" I managed to get out. He was starting to choke me
"The alley, don't you remember?"
He let go of me but didn't move from his few inches in front of me. I tryed to think. I remember a man but it was to dark to see. I thought about it harder. I gasped, Kaiba had been the one that found me, he had put the blanket around me, carried me to the car. But Why?
Studdering I said, "I-Its fo-ogy b-but yes. Y-you he-elped me. B-but w-why?"
He looked at me with thoughs blue eyes. It seemed so fimliar right them but I couldn't place him. He took out a locket thing from under his shirt. Opening it he showed it to me. It was a picture of mokuba when he was younger. I shook my head at first until it dawned on me. My hand went to my mouth. He closed it and let it fall to his chest. Raising his hand he lifted my head to met his eyes. The blue had gone from angey to sadness. I pulled away from his grip and tryed to move from the pinned position he had me in. He wouldn't let me move though.
He said, "I'm sorry"
It got kinda acward after that, so he stepped away, letting me move.
"I would rather you stay here. At least until the doctors say your well enough to go..." He walked back over to his computer and started typing again.
With my chest still pounding, I walked to the door. I left the room, closing it behind me. 'What the heck am I gonna do now.' I asked myself. Walking down the hall I heard someone banging on the door continuasly. I turned the corner just as the butler open it. Standing there, in the rain, was my uncle.
