Last Part!!!! v.v *sniffle* I hate endings...
~ Part 25 ~

“There is a time that when we face our fears the world is shown in a new light. Then there is a time that at that same instance we fall to the anguish that is in our own hearts. If you fear of falling remember my words. When the shadows are closing in and all hope is gone, look to the light and you will be saved.”

Standing in front of the item holders most looked confused as to where they were. Others, like Shadi, looked like they understood. Sighing to myself I turned from them. Walking over to Danielle and Malik I felt like running away. ‘I don’t want to be here anymore.’ I thought, ‘I don’t want more to die… But there is no other way. Why must I bear this burden?’ Tears threatened to fill my eyes but I blinked them away. I must not show weakness. That will only feed the darkness more. Sitting in front of the two I placed my hands over their hearts. A soft green glow surrounded them both. When it had faded away Danielle was the first to open her eyes.

“Wher-” She started

Malik sat up and looked around. He looked dazed but as his eyes settled on the figure of Naru he jumped up. Danielle was frozen to the spot. They both stared with horrified eyes at what was left of their Naru. When Danielle burst into tears Malik looked at me. Pulling me to my feet and started shaking me.

“Where were you?! Why didn’t you save her?! YOU WERE SUPPOSE TO PROTECT HER!” His body started shaking and he fell against me in tears.
Isis walked up to him and placed a hand on his shoulder, “My brother, She could not have stopped this even if she had been here. Only if Naru let them kill her could the ritual work. They used the both of you against her.”

Malik backed up off me and slid back to the ground. Danielle had stopped crying but she had a glazed look in her eyes as she looked at her friend.

Clearing my throat I said, “I’m sorry about your friend. But now that the gateway has been open we have less than a day to stop it from coming into this world. If that happens no one will ever be happy again. We need your help… I need your help, please…”

They both looked at me and then stood up. Seto walked over to Danielle, letting her lean on him. My heart gave a flutter but I just turned around and walked back to the others. The Pharaoh stepped forward to meet me.

“What has happened?” He asked
Sighing to myself again I said, “Pharaoh, the gateway to the underworld has been open.” His eyes got big, “It is time to go there and seal it away from this world forever.” Turning to the rest, “I’m the one that brought you all here. We must close this door before it opens too much. Already Shadow Creatures have escaped into this world. They can take on the shape of anything and anyone. We must be very careful when we enter the shadow realm. They can make you see things that are not there”
Bakura laughed, “Many of us here have already been in the Shadow realm. We know of the dangers it holds.”
“No you don’t. Their power rivals the Millenium Items. But they do not match them. Whenever you summoned the Shadow Realm to this world the Items power protected you from the darkness nightmares. If you had ever truly been there visions of the most horrid things would have came to you. Like a plague they would have poisoned your body and mind until they stripped you of your very soul. The creatures that threaten to come into this world are not the Shadows but the creatures themselves.”

Most of them just kinda looked at me like I was crazy. Sighing visibly I turned to the pool of blood. Motioning the others forward they all came around the pool. Careful to keep their eyes down as they did so.

“If there is one thing you remember as you look into mirror it is that your not there, they can not touch you… yet. If they do just look behind you and follow they light back.”

As they were all looking into the pool I waved my hand over it. The blood turned to black. Like a gaping hole in the ground that went on forever. Looking into its depths my breathing slowed. Visions of my past came to be. The pain of being alone, forgotten. The darkness swirled upward and around us all. Through the darkness I could see my mother. She reached out her hand to me. The feeling of warmth and longing filled me. I had only to reach out my hand to be with her again... To never be alone...

I just gave her a sad smile in return. The words fell flat. An angry look took her over and the body transformed into that of a shadow creature. Reaching out to me I could feel the pull on my heart. I felt lightheaded my strength felt as if it was draining from me. Clutching my heart and took a step back and unleashed my power. A white glow emitted from my body, driving the creature back into the black hole.

The room filled with my light chasing away the nightmares of everyone there. One by one they looked toward me. The fear that was in there eyes faded as they settled on the light. Looking at them all one wasn’t looking at me. Gliding over to him I gently place a hand on his shoulder. ‘Come back to us now, Seto…” His eyes lifted to mine. But I didn’t see fear there, I saw pain.

I quickly waved my hand over the pool and it turned back to red. They all collapsed to the ground, panting. I settled back on the ground but my light hadn’t left the room. It would comfort most to know that it was still there. Swallowing I let my mind drift. An hour had passed on the outside. He pharaoh was the first to speak.

“Will it be like that when we go?” He asked
“No,” I said they looked at me questioningly, “It will be much worst but only if you stray from my protection. We need to hurry. We have little time left. If you do not want to go I will understand. It is only your choice, your life, that you must decide.” They all looked questioningly around at each other. “If you choose to go than stand around me so we can go.”

Raising my hands upward the light that was in the room collected in my hands. Closing my fist around it formed into a staff. It was solid gold and was the same height as me. At the top was a loop with a white star in the middle. From the star emitted a powerful white light, forming a circle around me. Below that where 3 gold rings. They represent the balance of power between this realm and that of the shadows. The last two still moved slowly around it, keeping balance, but the first was held still. Then it extended down with many rings around it and finally ending in a point. The central point of everything. If one was sacrificed and killed by that point than their soul would be forever absorbed into cold metal. My clothes changed with the formation of the staff.

“If any of you doubt me I’m sorry. The first key has already been unlocked. If the three keys are turned by sun set than both realms, the living and the dead, with converge into one and everyone will live in an undying nightmare.”

Floating there I waited to see if any would even come forward. I didn’t blame then if they didn’t. I didn’t even want to go. But even if none of them come with me I’ll still have to go, without their help. One stepped forward, I looked over, it was Danielle. She looked as if she was ready for anything.

“I will not let my best friends death be in vain. She saved my life so now I will help save everyone on this planet.”

I said a silent thanks you to her. A few others stepped forward. The others quarreled a bit and then also joined the ring. Soon I had a circle of them all around me. “Pharaoh come to the center. We must keep balance. You will hold the darkness at bay and I will be the light.” He stood next to me.

So it went Seto with the rod, Danielle with the dagger, Bakura with the ring, Malik with the scale from shadi, Isis with the tauk, Shadi with the key, Pegasus with the eye, and Yami-Yugi in the middle with the puzzle. The globe of light grew surrounding us all. An echoing chant rose from nothing. As the items started to glow a soft blue black smoke flowed up from the pool. Narus body was enveloped in it and turned to dust. The chains hung in the air empty and the smoke came toward us. Creatures of shadow called out screaming our names. I raised my staff and a bolt of light shot through the dark mass destroying it. The blue light from the items merged with my white light making the globe seem blue. Balancing the power of the two worlds.

remember the light…

Raising us into the air the blood shimmered with a blue light. I lifted my staff high and then lowered it. We plunged into the gateway. The blue light of the items matched the blue of the shadow realm and we pass through easily… beginning our journey.

~~~~ Danielle’s part ~~~~
As we fell into the pool it felt like falling into ice water. The blue light searches my body and at its touch my heart seemed to stop. When it pulled away I took in a struggling breath. With every beat of my heart a pain shot through my body. There was no light anywhere as we plunged deeper into the darkness. My skin was so cold; it felt like it was rotting away. I tentatively touched it but it was still whole. Looking over at the others they looked like there were struggling too.
As suddenly as we had lifted we were settled down on the ground again. Falling to my knees I felt the warmth returning to my body. Looking up a saw a gate in front of me. A woman sat in front of it. She had long silvery hair. Her dress was very strange though some of the armor she had was cracking. Standing up she drew her sword and held a card in the other. Placing the sword behind the card a creature emerged forth. A bolt of lightening came from Callas’ staff and destroyed the creature as soon as it formed itself.
Replacing the sword in its scarab the girl stepped forward. Looking up to Calla her eyes were pitch black. Calla stared back at her and settled on the ground. Walking past me Calla positioned the staff between the two of them. Two of the rings were still moving but the second was slowing down.
The gate woman spoke first, “What brings you here, children.”
Calla spoke in strong voice “We have come to challenge the master behind those doors.”
“I can not let you pass. I am the Gatekeeper. You destroyed my servant that has served me through all time. Therefor I must destroy you myself.”
“You can not do that.”
“Why not, you wish to open that which I protect. That gives me reason enough.”
She drew her sword and positioned it in front of herself. Calla stared ahead without any emotion in her eyes. As the Gatekeeper swung at her Calla did not move. The sword made contact with the staff and a huge blast exploded at the point. I had to cover my eyes and involuntarily ducked. When the light had subsided Calla was standing as defiant as ever and the Keeper was on the ground with her sword broken beside her. Walking slowly forward Calla raised the point of her staff to the Keepers chest.
“We only come to destroy that which binds you here.” Calla said
“Nothing binds me here but my own promise.” The Keeper spat out.
“That is what I wish to do. To bring your mother back so you both can go home.”
She looked up at Calla with her empty eyes, “Why would you want to help me?”
Smiling at her Calla moved her staff and offered out a hand, “Because I now understand what it means to keep a promise.” Taking her hand the Keeper stood up.
“Who are you?”
“My name is one that is forgotten. You might remember me as Allac but I go by Calla.”
“I go by-“
“Ertheral” Calla finished
“How did…”
“Please we have little time left. We will talk when I come back. Did you remember how to open the Gate?”
“Yes but-”
“Please, Time is against us.”
Turning to the gate Ertheral raised her hands and spoke some words I did not know. Calla returned to her position beside the pharaoh. I just now noticed that her clothes had changed, all of ours had. We looked like we had we were back in Egypt…
The air fell silent and the gate grated open. The cold returned to my flesh. I wanted nothing more than to go home but I wouldn’t have a home to go to if we didn’t do this. I just want to be alone with Seto…
Ertheral spoke one last time, “Be warned, it is dangerous in there. Don’t listen to what you hear. Don’t believe anything you see. Nothing in there is real except for yourselves and a very dark power. Be careful.”
Standing up a hope entered my soul. The hope that we could save mankind and everything else. The hope of returning to tell of our stories and to know nothing can ever hurt us from here again…
We walked forward into blackness. Walking for what seemed like hours the blue light started to hurt my eyes to look through. Nothing bad had happened. Callas light was protecting us so what was the woman back there worried about. She must not have known what she was talking about. I yawned involuntarily but quickly covered it with my hand. My eyes grew big when I looked up again. Seto was standing a few feet in front of me, smiling. I looked over and I didn’t see him beside me anymore.
“Seto!” I hissed quietly, “What are you doing up there!”
He smiled bigger and motioned me forward. “I’ve been waiting for just the right time. Danielle, I want to be here with you forever. Nothing back has happened there is nothing here. Calla is just playing tricks on us. We need to find our way back out so we can be together, forever. Just follow me.”
My heart was beating madly. ‘He wanted to be with me, just me! We can be together forever… He doesn’t want Calla, he wants me…’ I started to walk over to him. The barrier separated us. I reached out and touched it. It wiggled like it was alive beneath my hand. Pressing against it harder it moved and let my hand through. Seto reached out to me. I need only touch his hand…
Something else grabbed my hand and pulled me through the barrier more. My whole arm was through it now. A Squeezing pain shot up through my arm. I tried to pull my arm back in but my foot slipped and followed through. They grabbed my foot and pulled me even more through the barrier. My voice refused to work. I looked up to Seto and he smiled at me motioning me forward. ‘Well if he was alright I would be to right?’ I stopped resisting and allowed myself to be pulled through the barrier. Eternal night plunged in around me. I screamed Setos name but I could not find him. Wriggling things wrapped around me squeezing the air from my lungs. I opened my mouth to scream and it reached into my throat. I could feel the mass pour into me, expanding inside of me. Only one thought ran threw my mind
“I’m going to die…”
~~~~ Seto’s part ~~~~

We had been walking for hours on end now and getting now where fast. ‘Why did I even come?’ I kept asking myself over and over. And the same answer came forward every time, ‘For Calla’ I sighed and looked over at Danielle. She was dangerously close to the barrier. She looked over at me and she stepped through the barrier. Shocked I ran over to where she had been.

Looking through the barrier I could see her smiling beckoning me forward. Anger swept over me. She could get hurt playing outside the protection barrier. I reached out my hand to pull her back in but she dance away from me. She wasn’t hurt yet so I figured it wouldn’t hurt to leave for a moment…

Danielle collapsed to the ground. I knew I had to help her. But what if I couldn’t come back? Seeing her go limp on the ground I took the chance and plunged through the barrier.

Eternal night surrounded me. Something hit me from behind and shoved me to the ground.

I was never one to fear anything but at that moment I was paralyzed with it. With the very thought of everything I didn’t know around me I couldn’t even draw a breath. A great pressure was on my back and I couldn’t get up even if I had been able to. Danielles’ form was inches in front of me. Reaching out my hand I couldn’t make it to her. Shifting my weight the thing on my back let up a little and I moved forward just a little, placing my hand on hers, something took hold of my leg and it felt like it was chewing on it. As my hope started to dwindle, I knew I was going to die…

remember the light…

Taking hold of Danielles hand I looked behind me toward the light… toward Calla…

A howl rose up above from the creatures around us and was so deafening. A clear white light encircled us and I felt the creatures being pushed away. The weight lifted from my leg and back and I was able to breathe freely again. The light curled us in itself and rose us up and back to the whole from whence it came.

I felt it settled us down and I took a deep breath. Looking around I saw the other item holders staring ahead as if in a trance. It was then that I realize I hadn’t move from my spot. This was what that Gate woman had meant. Nothing was real… looking over at Danielle I saw her look to me and then fall. Panic rose in my heart and, rushing over, I took her up in my arms. She wasn’t breathing. ‘oh god,’ I thought, ‘Please please be alright…’ I felt for a pulse and couldn’t find one. Looking around no one was paying any attention. ‘She must still be caught in the shadow spell…’ “Danielle!” I yelled at her, “Remember what Calla had said. You must look behind you when you become lost. Please wake up…”

Looking to Calla I saw her above Yugi. Her eyes were still closed but her face had drained of all color. The light in the barrier was beginning to fade away. I looked desperately at her again. The second ring on her staff stopped spinning and the walls started to close in. I saw a single tear fall run down her face. Then she opened her eyes and looked at me. With a sad smile she raised her hand to me and another tear fell. Then she raised her staff and pointed the end point at her own chest. I took a step forward to her and the smile faded from her lips.

“I have always loved you Seto… Her voice echoed through my head.
“Calla! NO!” My voice echoed in vain

“She’s going to die…”

~~~~ Yami’s part ~~~~
Walking in the middle of everyone I felt so apart. Most of them did not want to be here or they didn’t understand why they where. Why did I have to be the one to lead them? I’m so tired of having to prove myself. Why can’t everything just be all right for once…
‘Yami, you shouldn’t think that way.’ Yugi said
‘I’m just so tired of having to show everyone the way.’
‘But that’s your destiny!’
‘Well maybe I don’t want that destiny! I want to be just another person. Without cares.’
‘So you would give up the power to help people?’
I paused for a long time, ‘… Yes, I guess I would.’
Yugi fell quite after that. I knew he was probably disappointed in me but he couldn’t even begin to grasp the situation we were in. We could die at any moment and it will be because of my stupid destiny…
Looking up I saw that the others had stopped. Most had a glazed look in their eyes. A shadow was drifting between them. I watched as it paused at each of them and then went on.
Yugi’s voice popped up, ‘Do something! That thing is weaving a shadow spell on them!’
My mind went totally blank. ‘A shadow spell? What was that? Who are you?’
‘Yami! Don’t fall to it!’
‘Yami… I don’t know that name. You’ve kidnapped me haven’t you!’ I backed up.
The shadow drifted forward, ‘Little Yugi is it? Your friend has gotten what he wanted as have them all. What is your one wish in life? Let me hear it so I may give it to you…’
The boy next to me looked terrified, ‘Yami wake up! We need you!’
‘But I-I don’t know what to do…’
‘Do you want to help people?’ The shadow thing surrounded the boy
‘Well yeah but…’
‘Than say your name! Its Ate-’
The shadow thing closed completely around the boy. ‘Ate? Is that my name? But it doesn’t sound right…’
A sound like bone being crushed came to ears. Staring at the shadow thing I could see the boy being disformed inside of it. A panic rose inside of me. What was I going to do? Ate? That means nothing to me.
The shadow dropped the mangled form of the boy. Fear gripped then and I panicked. It circled around me. Bracing for the same fate as the boy but it didn’t come. Instead chains appeared out of the air. Wrapping themselves around me they cut me deeply and I started to bleed. A dark ooze bubbled up at my feet and at its touch it felt like acid, destroying everything to the bone. If it wasn’t for the chains I would have fallen down but the movement made the chains cut deeper into me.
My mind was blank and as the liquid rose my spirits fell. This is not what I had meant when I said I didn’t want my power… ‘Wait… My power!’ I could feel the weight of my Puzzle against my chest. Concentrating hard the fog lifted from my vision, though I was still bound I could see what was happening to the others.
remember the light…
Looking around a figure above me caught my eye. She was enshrouded in a white light. I could see her raise a hand to Seto. He looked petrified. She raised her staff and pointed the sharp edge at the bottom to her chest. ‘She is going to kill herself!’ Seto screamed at her to stop. Looking up I saw her raise the staff up getting ready for the plunge.
So I did the only thing I could think of…
“Sorceress! Help me please!”
She looked down and a blinding white light exploded around me. The shadow screamed as the touch of death enshrouded it. The chains fell away and the ooze evaporated. Falling to the ground I started panting. Yugi was all right as he was to my right. The pain of the imaginary chains did not go away as easily as I had hoped. Calla settled to the ground in front of me. She looked completely drained of her power and almost fell as she landed had it not been for her staff. The others all came out of their trance and looked around in confusion.
I felt Calla’s hand on my cheek and the pain subsided.
“What are you doing?!” I hissed, “You need to save your strength!”
She shook her head, “It doesn’t matter, we’re here.”
I looked up and saw a black gateway.
She smiled at me, “I can do no more. Only you can open this door, Pharaoh. I know not how but only you can.”
She stepped away from me and the others made a circle around me. Backing far away Calla stood off to the side as I stood up. The Items started to glow as we walked up to the open door. I felt the pull on my strength again. Same as when we first put up the barrier. But somehow it was stronger now. Black lightning shot at us from the darkness ahead. It was absorbed into an invisible force field around us.
As we passed the walls I looked back. Calla had fallen to the ground. The staff she held was in the air above her and the third ring was beginning to slow down.
Time was against us…
~~~~ The Final Battle ~~~~

(In Setos words)

As we entered the hall everything around us glowed a dull red. Many different creatures crowed the outer halls taking peeps at us through the holes. It felt like I was a bug in a box. Danielle was up against me. I could tell she was afraid but didn’t let it show. Looking farther up ahead I could make out two figures. The one in the tallest chair I guess was the thing Yugi had to beat and the other was probably his ‘sidekick’ that took care of any messy details. We were the intruders here and will be treated as such.

Getting closer the boss-man stood up and spread his black wings wide. Probably showing us he had been waiting a long time and was ready. He also wore a simple tunic of dull purple. The air around his cracked with dull red. An evil grin spread across his face. The ‘sidekick’ was a woman and she had a gray cat on her lap, gently stroking it. The cats green eyes looked up at us. The woman petted it gently She was dressed in a reddish purple dress in which the ends flowed down and disappeared the shadows that covered the floor.

“Welcome! Welcome!” The Boss-man said, “I am Karkov the master of this realm. What brings you nine here?”
The woman’s soft voice spoke from behind, “Not nine anymore, my lord, they lost one to your pets.”
He scratched his chin, “Ah yes they did tell me that.” He clapped his hands together, “Well no matter, are you eight hungry at all? We are going to have a feast in your honor. As we are going to be getting much more playroom soon it deems a celebration!” None of us moved, “No? Well, all right then. You’ve came to challenge my power yes?” This was directed at Yami.
“I’ve only come to give it back.” Yami replied
Karkov burst out laughing, “HA! Well of course you were!” He extended an arm to the woman behind him, “So would you be wanting back your friend as well?”

Standing up I took in her full form. The long brown hair and tan skin… But there was something very wrong…

“Calla!” I shouted to her.
Karkov laughed again, “Yes my boy! You got it, this is your friend you lost just outside my castle.” She came forward and stood beside him. He toyed with her hair, “Isn’t she beautiful? I like the new change. It just took all of you depleting her good energy for the shadow to take over.” He shook his head, “Her mother tried stop me but absorbing my power but in doing so it curse her bloodline to forever have my taint in it, their dark side. You all helped me get my hands on her blood.” He took out a dagger from his belt. Then he gave it to her. “Now my child show them what their dire error was.”

Taking the dagger she raised her hand to it. She sliced her wrist and the smell of her blood reached my nose. I could do nothing except stare in disbelief as she raised her wrist to Karkov.

He took it in his hand and said, “And now the finally key will be turned.” He started to put her blood to his lips.

My world was spinning. Why would she do this? Is she just in some kind of shadow spell? What can I do?…

The next few moments were a blur. I felt myself moving toward Calla, no… running toward her. His power crackled around me as I left the protection of the others. I heard Danielle yell to me but I kept moving forward. Without knowing how I was upon her. Knocking her to the ground I felt a sharp pain in my abdomen. On top of her now the soft brown eyes had turned to cold marble. I coughed and blood splattered on her face. She rolled me off to her side and I saw the dagger she was holding was what had caused the pain. I could feel the blood start to flow from me as she pulled it out as if it was nothing.

My eyes met hers. Reaching up my hand I touched her cheek where some of my blood was, “I have always loved you too…”

Her eyes grew big as she stared at me. Tentatively she lifted her hand and put it over mine. My vision started to fade and I felt a tear against my hand. I heard her voice but couldn’t decipher it. Unwillingly my hand slipped from her face. My heart skipped a beat at the lack of blood to circulate. The pain subsided and as my body went numb I felt her presence near me…

(In Danielles words)

Seeing Seto run up to Calla I screamed at him to come back. Running after him I couldn’t keep up and he reached then before I could even get close. Karkov crossed his arms at the interference and glared at him. I stopped in mid stride when Calla rolled him over and took out the knife she had stabbed him with. I could feel the tears flow down my cheeks. A shadow creature was suddenly beside me.

It grabbed me by the hair. Out of the corner of my eye I saw many of the creatures that had stayed hidden jump out and attack the others. A sharp pain in my neck brought me back to the thing that held me. I tried to grab at the hand that was holding me but my hands wouldn’t respond. The pressure lifted from my head and I fell forward, unable to stop myself. I realized then that it had broken my neck. The pieces of my shattered bone punctured through my neck.

As the blood started to fill my lungs I could think of only Seto. Maybe I will see him when I die… Struggling to breathe I tried to keep that thought in my mind. But as I fell to the dark depths of my mind that was all I could think of.

(In Yamis words)

The shadow creatures circled around us. Without the full power of the items they easily penetrated the weak field we had put up. One by one I saw my friends fall to the ground lifeless. This is not what should have happened…

‘Pharaoh…’

I looked up from the death around me and met Calla's eyes.

‘You still have time. Destroy him!’
‘I have nothing left…’
‘You have the power.’
‘But all my friends are gone…’
‘Then don’t let then die in vain! I will help you. Please, Atem, the world needs you…’

At the remembrance of my name I felt a power surge through me. Time seemed to stop. The shadow creatures stopped moving. The aura around me had turned to blue. Looking up Calla’s was white and Karkov’s was Red. She raised her hand and I mine. As our two powers converged time seemed to ketch up. A blinding light enveloped Karkov. He screamed in a rage but as I concentrated all my power. The room started to turn a soft blue. The shadow creatures retreated but could not escape the power.

As the room started to spin Karkov roared in pain. His body started to break apart. Blue light showed through the breaks. As chunks of his body fell apart they disintegrated before they reached the ground. Soon all that was left was a dark red ball. Its light faded in the power around it.

An explosion of our combined power expanded through the room. Destroying everything it touched until there was nothing but a pure white room. With Calla, me, and the bodies of those that had fallen the only things in it…

~~~~ Ending’s ~~~~
I fell to my knees. I had saved they world from the darkness but could do nothing for my friends. Putting my head into my hands I cried in sobs. Arms wrapped around me and I wept all the harder. A tear brushed my arm and I looked up. Calla was holding me tightly and crying with me.
Her voice came in a soft tone, “You did it my friend. You saved the world.”
I pulled away from her and wiped away my tears, “This isn’t the end is it?”
She smiled sadly at me, “I’m afraid no, his evil will never be completely gone. At least as long as I’m still here.”
“What are you saying.”
She sighed deeply, “I have to leave this world. My family is forever tainted with his evilness. My being here will only bring it again and again for all time. I must go back to my own home. Back to the upperworld.”
“Why?” I asked in a feeble voice, I was about to lose my last friend.
She kissed my forehead, “I have been gone for so long, my friend. I want to go home.” A light flashed behind her, “With my family.”
She stood up and I saw two people behind her. One was the one we met at the gate to the underworld. The other was the one I had seen in my dreams. She had given me strength through my entire life. She came forward and rested her hand on my head. Smiling she turned to Calla and nodded.
“Atem, you have been most brave. You lost your companions and yet you chose to still help others. For that I will let my daughter, Calla, reward you.”
Calla stepped back, “Atem, you have taught me so much through my life. There would no bigger honor than to bring you what you most desire.”
She raised her hands upward and a soft green light flowed from her hands. It flowed down and encircled the figures of those on the ground. As it faded they started to sit up. Isis had tears flowing down her face as she embraced her brother. Danielle ran over to Seto and embraced him. The others stood with tears in their eyes at what they had accomplished. From behind me I felt a tap. Turning I saw Naru smiling at me. She gave me a hug and then ran over to Malik. They both burst into tears and hugged tightly. Calla and her family stood to one side. Seto pulled away from Danielle and walked over to them.
Clearing his throat to speak, Calla beat him to it, “Seto, as much as I’d love to say here with you I can’t…”
Seto pulled her close and hugged her tightly. “I know, it would be selfish of me to wish you to stay…”
She pulled away, “Don’t talk like that, you have Danielle. If I had never shown up you would probably be married to her right now.” He blushed, “So take care of her and I’ll see you in another life.”
She lifted up and slid from his arms. She smiled at them all, saying, “Thank you all for being my friends. I will never forget any of you. Have a good life and may you live long and happy.” With that Her and her family faded into the light around us.
Life continued for all of them. Seto eventually married Danielle and they had three kids. Malik and Naru had many children but now live on the surface. Ryou ended up marrying Serenity. Yugi ended up with Tea (she brought in most of the income) Mokuba grew up happy now that his brother no longer shut everyone out. Just anyone he didn’t like (Which was still mostly everyone *sigh*) He ended up marrying a cute blond and he learned the family business. None of them ever heard from Calla or her family again. Well at least in this life.
*sniffle* Well thats the end V.V *crys can be heard* I really hope you liked it. I am so tired now btu I finally got it done. Please tell me what you think!
