   So much food... won’t eat ....for 3 months....
Kibou: I’m never going to eat again... ugh....
Yami: Give yourself a few hours, I’m sure you’ll be wanting some leftover chili then. ^_~
Kibou: Pfft. Yeah right. XD Anywho... I hope that everyone had a good Christmas (If that’s what ya celebrate! ^^) I got a few presents, and a tummy full of food. My most favorite presents came from Kana-chan. Defiantly. She finally gave me my b-day present, she had been working on it for a while. (I had no idea what it was!) I finally found out, she made me a scrapbook of me, her, and our friends. It’s so pretty! Her Christmas presents were awesome as well. She got me a shirt on-line that says, “I’d rather be watching Yu-Gi-Oh!” Muwhahahaha! So true. Lastly, te thing I went nut-so crazy over, she gave me A YAMI PLUSHIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *huggles ii* I luff it to death.
Yami: It’s mini-me! ......With a very large head, might I add. ^^;
Kibou: I will hug him and squeeze him and name him George. ... ok, scratch that last part. XD But I am very excited I got a plushie. Every Otaku needs one! It’s a must!
Yami: I think we should go now, before Kibou gets overly hyper.

Kibou: Today is Christmas! (uh, yeah. Already established, move along...) Anyway, I just popped into to say that I hope during these holidays, you have a wonderful time with your families, a great time opening gifts, and fun stuffing your face with food. XD
Yami: I’m sure a lot of holidays are like that. So enjoy the time while it’s here!

   Fun Time!
Kibou: Yesterday was good. ^^ I went and bought Lisa’s Christmas present, and even though it’s not exactly was I was planning on getting her, I hope that she will still like it!
Yami: Well, you got her one a book, and a volume of manga. I think she’ll enjoy those plenty.
Kibou: Yeah, guess your right. On the way to the mall, I stopped by my friend Stephi’s house. She told met hat she’s coming back to my school next semester! *dances* I’m excited for that, I’ve missed her! But Lisa came over yesterday ant was watched Ratatouille. I love that movie, it’s so cute.
Yami: I thought you liked it only because it had to d with cook. XP
Kibou: Oh ha ha. ^_~ Lisa also stayed over for dinner, and Shelly as always, was cooking. Lisa loved it, so it made me happy. We had a good time. *nods* I liked that! Since it’s Christmas break, we’re planning on a sleep over sime time.
Yami: Oh no.... 2 hyper girls and DDR.... I don’t know if I’m going to like this.
Kibou: You should be used to it by now.

Alright! Tomorrow is Christmas Eve! I’m excited! I have some baking and cooking ahead of me, not to mention wrapping presents. *rolls up sleeves* Let’s get to work!

Ok, here’s the downside, my dad got the time limit to the whole computer to 4 hours. >< *stabs time limit* So, I have to use the time wisely, at least for now. So I’m very, very, VERY sorry if I can’t make it to everyone’s site today! T_T
I still love ya’ll! *huggles*

   Interesting Week
Kibou: Up and down and around the town. That what this week was.
Yami: Mainly because of school. At least now, you have 2 full weeks away from it!
Kibou: OMG, winter break is here! That’s right! XD Guess I was still in the habit of two-day weekends. XP Anyway, this week had it’s positives. I went to Compassionate Friends (Support group or lost loved ones) and on Wednesday, I donated blood! It was cool, in a bloody, kind of way... ^^; Last good thing for this week: Yesterday, I wore I sing that read “FREE HUGS!” I get 15 of them. XD It was really fun! And yes Yami, I made sure no freaky creeps gave me one. ^_~
Yami: Good. *nods*
Kibou: Well, here’s some not to good stuff, every so often during the week, I felt really depressed. =/. Don’t have an idea why, I was just thinking about certain things, and it wasn’t making me feel to good.
Yami: *hugs* But you’re ok now, right? You’re smiling. ^^
Kibou: Yeah. I’m hoping I don’t get like that again. O_o I don’t like it! ><
Yami: And for the all round the town part?
Kibou: I was everywhere at once! Compassionate Friends is downtown-ish, went shopping, went to the cemetery, went here, there, everywhere! And It’s not going to stop until after Christmas!

A few mornings later, Anika found herself up on the roof, practicing with her power alone. She thought of what Atem had taught her during their last practice. As Anika summoned her energy, she drew her hands back, and as she tried to push forward, she lost control and fell back, hitting hard against the roof. She got up and took ht e normal stance. She slowly breathed in.
“Hey! Morning!” Salih called up to her. Anika jumped at the sudden noise. “What are ya doing up here?” Salih asked.
“Just... stretching.” Anika claimed, recovering from the scare. Salih chuckled.
“I didn’t mean to scare you, sorry.” Anika laughed.
“No, no, it’s fine.” Salih looked away for a moment, before he met Anika’s eyes again.
“It looked like you were meditating almost, or concentrating on something.” He said a bit more seriously. Anika tensed up a bit.
“How long was he there? Was he watching me the entire time?” she wondered. “Oh, really?” she managed to choke. “Well, stretching, mediating, same... same difference.” Anika began to get nervous as Salih stepped closer to her. She suddenly felt his hand on her shoulder, sending a slight chill through her.
“Let me know if you ever want some help with your stretching, ok?” Salih laughed as his joke to break the tension. “Whatever move you do, I’ll understand.” he told her, still chuckling. Anika smiled uneasily, trying to figure out what he meant by that. Anika reached above her head and sighed. “Well, if this stretching session is over, how about some breakfast?” she suggested and walked past Salih to the stairs. “After all that running around yesterday, I’m starved!” Anika called over her shoulder, changing the subject. Salih followed her. “Is there something she’s hiding from me?”

After breakfast, Anika and Mana continued their new routine of morning sewing. Khalil joined them in the room, pieces of papyrus and jars of paint in his arms. As Anika and Mana sewed, Khalil sat on the opposite side of the room, donning one of Mahad’s old shirts, which was a bit too big for him. Mana looked over at him and smiled. She got Anika’s attention and pointed to Khalil, sitting on the floor, glaring at the blank sheet before him. He suddenly let out a small gasp as an idea popped in his head and he began working immediately. The two girls snickered as Khalil went to work.

The days seemed to go by quicker, and Anika walked out to the roof once night to briefly get away from the increasing hustle and bustle in the castle. She took in a deep breath and smiled. “Only one more week until Atem’s big day.” She thought to herself. She breathed in deeply once again. Her peace was interrupted suddenly as she heard an evil laugh from around her.

   2 more days.....
Kibou: HIYAZZ! *waves estatically* I’m SO sorry I wasn’t around on Saturday... OR Sunday... T_T My dad and I still had some internet issues to go over. Good thing now: My dad updated out virus protection, and it kind of got rid of the parental controls so... I’m free! At least, for the moment. O_o
Yami: Dun dun dun dun..... ... ... ... ... ^^; Sorry, had to do it
Kibou: Right.... Anyway, this week has been alright so far. Monday I went to Compassionate Friends (a type of support group for lost loved ones) It was the Christmas session, and it was AWESOME! Sad, but AWESOME! It was in a church, and each family went to the altar to say their child’s (or in my case, mom) name and light a candle for them. I was doing it for my grandparents and my aunt, and even though I wasn’t facing anybody, I was nervous! XDDDD. But I didn’t faint or anything...^^; But the whole thing was very beautiful. I loved it! =D
Yami: And you were going to say this week was boring... it was a good time, with near-faint moments
Kibou: -_-.... well, whatever! Heehee. Oh! Today, I actually donated blood! *everyone’s eyes grow wide* I don’t know if people think it’s weird or creepy, but it’s not all that bad. It was weird though... all the blood. =O And no, I’m not a vampire. I fight those demons! and *gasps* OMG! Remember I keep saying the college bakery is haunted? Today, the walk-in freezer open, closed, opened, and closed really fast all on its own! O_O I went in there after, and I almost got stuck in there. IT WAS FREAKY!
Yami: Then you would have been a Kibou-cycle! No more going in the freezer for you.
Kibou: Uh, ok..... I guess that’s my week. I’ll get to all the sites that have updated since Saturday. *nods* And on Deviant Art... Oh gosh, don’t get me started!

   Can it be? The weekend?
Kibou: This week was kind of all over the place! Crazy, nut-so-rama, exhausting!
Yami: A lot of things went on this week. A birthday, school work, baking in and out of school, studying, need I go on?
Kibou: No.... I got a headache just listening to you! XD Anyway, yeah, this week was all those things, but mostly stressful..... >< Yarg. I felt kind of depressed at times because I’m thinking some of my friends don’t care that much. I set up a b-day party, and they never RSVP.... =/ Makes me wonder.
Yami: I hope that changes. That and a few other things.
Kibou: The big one: My dad found out that I was using his screen name to bypass, I can’t believe I’m saying this, parental controls. *stabs the controls* I’m freaking 17, and my dad still has those for me. But I’m not going to get into that! ^^; Last thing: Last night, Shelly (dad’s fiancée) and I had some interesting talks. o_o We talked about her & my mom’s family, my freaky diet in the 10th grade. (where I ate like 500 calories a day. O_O) and other matters.... some awkward moment in there...
Yami: The good things are that you had a good 17th birthday, you made it through another week, one more until winter break, and today, you’re going to Kana-chan’s Choir concert.
Kibou: Finally, a break!

Atem’s birthday was approaching, things only seemed to get busier. Anika spent more time with Khalil and Salih. The three went back to the village that Salih and Khalil had went to before to visit Khalil’s new friend. “Sandya! Hi!” Khalil called out.
“Hi!” A girl, just about Khalil’s age echoed as she just came out of her house. Khalil gave introductions to Anika and Sandya.
“Sandya, this is my sister Anika.” Khalil stated, gesturing to Anika. “And Anika, this is Sandya, the girl I told you about.” Sandya gave a slight curtsy after being introduced.
“Nice to meet you,” she said politely. Anika gave a small bow of her own.
“Likewise,” she responded. Sandya giggled. She turned to Khalil.
“Let’s play a game!” she suggested. Khalil clapped his hands together.
“Yeah! What game?” Sandya thought a moment. She walked up to Khalil and suddenly hit him on the shoulder.
“Tag! You’re it!” she called, running away from him. Anika and Salih laughed as Khalil took after her. Soon enough, all four of them were chasing each other around. Anika got tagged, and eventually got Salih.
“I’ll get you for that!” he teased her.
“Oh, I bet!” Anika taunted, backing away. Salih took after her as she ran from him. Salih caught up to Anika and grabbed her around the waist, causing her to stumble and fall. Salih quickly turned around so he would land first. Anika tumbled on top of Salih with a small, “Oof!” She looked back at what she landed on, and began laughing.
“Tag,” Salih stated. “You’re it.” The four of them played for a while longer. Afterwards, Anika and Salih sat out the next game and talked with Sandya’s father, the head of the village. Anika looked out a window to the sky, “The sun’s beginning to set, we should start heading back.” She suggested. Salih also looked up and nodded. Khalil played for a bit more before saying good bye to Sandya and her father.
“Bye Khalil!” Sandya smiled as she gave him a small hug. Khalil returned the hug, a little embarrassed.
“Come back anytime you three!” Sandya’s father called after them as they all waved good-bye.
Half way back to the palace, Salih looked at Anika.
“Tired?” he asked. Anika shrugged.
“A little.” Salih gave her a smile.
“Well then...” he walked behind her and suddenly took her in his arms, carrying her.
“Hey!” she laughed. Khalil snickered a bit too. Anika put an arm around his neck to balance herself. She looked behind Salih towards the horizon. The memory of living in a village like Sandya appeared in her mind. “And now it’s gone,” she thought, but shook the memory away. “So....” Khalil broke Anika from her trance, “When do I get a ride?” he asked playfully. Anika smiled, and had Salih put her down. Khalil climbed on Salih’s shoulders and took the ride the rest of the way back to the palace.

   ~ * ~ Party Time! ~ * ~
Kibou: I think am way to hyper today. XD
Yami: Well, I think you have the right to be, seeing that’s it your birthday! *hugs* And your 17th one at that.
Kibou: ^______^ Today was pretty good. =D And easy too. We took notes in my 1st hour, worked on some random stuff in video class, AND I got to run the bakery at the college today. *dances* It was fun.
Yami: and you gave out cookies, like you always do?
Kibou: Yes, which reminds me! *hands out cookies to everyone* Tonight I’m going out to eat to celebrate. (yay)
Lastly... Dunpeil Dueliest drew me a present! =D

   *shrugs* I dunno.....
Kibou: Not a lot happened yesterday. Shelly went out with my dad and her family for her birthday. I just stayed home and exercised. XDDDD and watched some anime.
Yami: Well, just Naruto. It was like a min-Naruto Marathon. *nods*
Kibou: I watched 5 episodes in a row. =D watched one on Youtube, 2 that I had taped, and the two new ones on TV. Around 11, I was feeling really tired, so I went to bed.
Yami: You weren’t feeling all the great, either.
Kibou: I think I had a 4-hour cold or something, and I was sore from exercising for some strange reason. O_o Ah well, I’m better now. ^^ That’s my Saturday. Today My grandma and I were going to go Christmas shopping for my cousins, but she hasn’t called me yet. Hope she didn’t forget!

   Another week is over... (Happy Birthday Shelly!)
Kibou: I’m real glad it’s the weekend! This week was LONG! I shoveled 5 times... I really wanted the snow to give me a break....
Yami: Maybe the rest of the winter won’t be as relentless as last week.
Kibou: I’m going to think of it as a workout.... ^^; Anyway, what made this week so long was the studying and papers I had to do. I had a current event in there as well.
Yami: thankfully, they’re not as bad as last term’s, since it’s a different teacher.
Kibou: One current event that goes with what we’re learning, summarize. I like that, since I had to write a paper about Joseph Stalin, and study for a Europe test, and work on a bunch of stuff from Culinary class. X_x I did get 42/44 on my test........ *cries* I was so close! DX But I have Jake, Brent, Chelsea, and Amanda at school to help me through the day! XDDDDD and before I forget, Today is Shelly’s birthday! (Dad's fiancee, sorry I didn't clarify that.) I have no idea if we’re doing anything for it though! O_o

Anika walked outside to meet Salih and Khalil as they returned from there trip.
“Welcome back!” she waved.
“Hi!” Khalil called back. “Got you something!”
“Oh?” Anika smiled. “And what would that be?” Khalil held a white flower to her.
“I got it from a new friend of mine!”
“Why thank you.” Anika said as she took it. “It’s very pretty.”
“Well,” Salih began, “a friend of Khalil’s is a friend of mine because.... ” he pulled another flower from behind his back. “I got one, too.” Anika chuckled as she took the flower from him.
“Thank you both.” she said. The three of them talked for a while before going back inside. Salih looked around. “Some of the servants seem to be running about a lot more lately.” Anika nodded.
“It happens.”
“Is something going on?” he asked. Anika looked past Salih on the right, and saw Mahad walking towards them.
“I think you’re about to find out.” Salih turned to where Anika was looking.
“Good afternoon Anika, Khalil.”
“Hello Mahad.” Anika responded.
“Hello, Salih.” Mahad spoke again. Salih simply nodded, not knowing Mahad much past his name. Mahad went on, “Are you aware of what’s coming up in about a week?” Salih this time shook his head. “Ah, well, let me the first to tell you that in about a week, it will be Atem’s birthday.” Salih raised his eyebrows. “Oh!” he said. “Well, I guess that would explain a lot.” Mahad smiled. “You came to the palace just in time.” He went on. “Because you have been invited as a guest of honor at Prince Atem’s coronation.“ Salih was a bit surprised at the news.
“Thank you, I am honored.” After Mahad left a while later, Salih let out a small chuckle. “So that’s what it’s all about, huh?” he spoke. Anika nodded. “I never thought I’d be involved in something as big as this.”
“That makes two of us.” Anika noted.
“When I return home, I know that this will be one story Father will never believe!” Salih laughed. “You and Khalil will have to come with me and be my witnesses.” Khalil jumped in the middle of the conversation.
“But I don’t wanna go away!” He complained. Salih looked down at him,
“There’s no plan of leaving tomorrow, silly!” Khalil grinned.
“Good! I want to stay here forever!” Both boys laughed as Anika stood behind them,
“That makes two of us, Khalil....” she thought. “That makes two of us.”
