A day turned cold...
Kibou: The weather turned on me! It was supposed to be 54 or something... but it only got as high as 45-ish.
Yami: But of course, that is typical for this part of the country! ^^;
Kibou: So... yeah. Enough about the weather. XD Today was ok. Ups and downs. In 1st hour, we were put into groups. We were supposed to write a children’s book based on WWII (I know, weird combo) One girl thought she was the boss. She was half asleep! (O_o) ... but the rest off the day was fine.
Yami: Don’t you have another group project In your Culinary class?
Kibou: XD yes! It’s another video assignment, this time about customer service. My group and I are going to do it all wrong! XDDDD This is going to be fun. AND.... in my computer/video class, we watched this 1940 sci-fi movie! ^^ It was fun to watch. All the aliens and such...:
Yami: .................. what?
Kibou: *shrugs*......Anyway, I’m really excited for this week! A lot is going on. It’s a 2-day school week, first off. Which totally rocks but on Friday, Shelly is moving in! *spins around in the chair* I’m excited for that! No, my dad and Shelly aren’t married and Shelly’s townhouse hasn’t sold yet, but we’re only going to move a couple of things into our house! ... *smirks*
Yami: Like cooking stuff, and her dog Bingo.
Kibou: Ha ha! Yesh!

   A quick little rant.... then the normal Sunday post o’ Anime!
Kibou: Ok, I think Sunday mornings are the times that I easily get mad. Or it could be cause my dad’s home. But it always seems that, every Sunday morning, my tells me what I’m doing wrong, and points out al these negative tings. I get frustrated, and then he asks why I’m getting so mad. (Oh gee, I wonder why.....*sarcasm*) And I hate the fact that he thinks I’m only getting mad, because I’m a teenager. Totally not the point. I don’t get along with him because I found out what a big freaking jerk he is! With all the money, and not caring for me (like for doctor’s appts. (because it cost money!)), and he’s so narcissistic! How can you live like that? How could anyone like him if he’s that way? >< Ughhhh....... I’m not loving life right now.
Yami: Will talking about anime make you feel better?
Kibou: Oh it might... I was looking forward to seeing the new Naruto episodes. BUT it wasn’t on. It was the Naruto Movie. I didn’t hear about Toonami airing It again, did anyone? *shrugs* And I think that the Blood+ episode was kind of.....uh....
Yami: More informative?
Kibou: Yeah. Not too much action, except towards the end.
Yami: With a cliffhanger, no doubt! XD So next week will be all action-packed.
Kibou: Yayness!

Kibou: that wraps up another Sunday post. I’m really looking forward to the two-day school week! Thank you, Turkey Day! XD What are you all going to do over the holiday? I’m going to my uncle’s house (Dad’s side). I want to make something, but I don’t know what everyone else in the family is brining! Hmm... and I may help my gramma (mom’s side) Wednesday night after we go shopping. b^_^d

   Awesome ending to the week!
Kibou: A good week has come to a close! First off, I tried my mixed-up cookie recipe. Oatmeal-raisin-walnut! (yum) And to my surprise, they turned out all right.. HOWEVER! They aren’t as soft as I thought they would be. I need a way to make them STAY SOFT!!! (w/o adding extra calories...)
Yami: Until then... *hides the cookies* They do have good taste, though. I think you’ve set me up to have a mini-obsession with raisins now. XD Congratulations.
Kibou: Why thank you. Heehee. All my classmates had their own recipe. I tried shrimp salad, baked egg rolls, peach cobbler, apple crisp, and pork & rice dish. I was quite full after that! (Didn’t eat the rest of the day!)
Yami: And there was Friday, there’s some excitement there.
Kibou: YES! It was fun! I went to a FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) meeting downtown! (I didn’t have to go to school. ^_~) It was held at the Hilton Hotel, and WOW! It as HUGE! It was inside one of the larger buildings, but inside it looked like a palace! (Now I know how Anika feels n the story! XDDDD) But it was amazing! But enough about that. During the meetings, new officers are appointed. The president was one I think, the only boy there! When the candidates were talking, the ones that seemed to better leadership skills were Asian. Thought that was cool. After that, my group all went shopping at Macy’s. And of course, you can never really buy anything there... but I did try on a pair of $800 boots! XDDDD
Yami: So the day was worth getting up at 5 AM then?
Kibou: *nods* totally

“You have gotten so much stronger.” Salih told Anika. She smiled. Salih blushed slightly, drawing his hand to the back of his head, looking away from Anika. “I-I mean uh...., you’ve always been strong, Anika, but....” he rubbed the back of his neck as Anika let out a laugh.
“No, no. I understand what you’re getting at.” She said. Salih sighed.
“Alright, good,” he chuckled. After a moment of silence, Salih looked towards Anika again. “So... does Khalil know all about what’s going on?” Anika nodded and opened her mouth to speak, but was cut off.
“I heard my name!” Khalil’s head suddenly visible from the stairway leading to the roof.
“What’s up, little guy?” Salih asked.
“Nothin’.” Khalil answered with a slight smirk. “I just wanted to show you something I made with the toy blocks...” Khalil was grinning now.
“Oh really?” Salih stood right in front of Khalil, towering over him.
“Really!” Khalil exclaimed, jumping up. He grabbed Salih’s hand, leading him back down the stairs, Anika following.
“Anika!” a harsh whisper called out to her as she was pulled aside.
“Mana,” Anika began. “Is something wrong?” she asked. Mana shook her head.
“But something is up.” She said with a smile. “So Atem’s birthday is coming up soon, right?” Anika nodded again. “So... we have to wear something nice.” Mana’s smile broadened. “Meet me tomorrow by my room, and we can discuss it alright?”
“Aright,” Anika agreed.
“And don’t tell anyone, okay?” Mana winked.
“Okay!” Anika laughed as Mana quickly left, late for her lessons. Anika walked into her room, where Khalil’s tower of building blocks stood as a centerpiece to the floor. Salih turned his attention to Anika as she appeared in the doorway. He smiled.
“What was that all about?” he asked, as he saw the two talking down the hall. Anika just shrugged.
“Oh you know.... girl stuff.”

   Feels like Friday....
Kibou: Today was pretty good. Confusing, but good. XD I t felt like Friday, but my mind said it was Tuesday!
Yami: Reality check.... it’s Wednesday.... I don’t think you should eat anymore tof that biscotti....
Kibou: Oh, the biscotti has nothing to do with it. Anyway, Global Studies was fun today. My class combined with another, and we pretended that we were in WWI! It was completely dark, and we had to enter the classroom ion our hands and knees! XD THEN we hid behind desks covered in brown paper, which were our trenches. Paper balls served at bombs. If you were hit twice, you were dead.
Yami: Quite the unexpected lesson, huh?
Kibou: *nods* The best part: Kana-chan’s jerk-off ex-boyfriend Dan was on the opposing force, so... he was my main target. XDDDDD
Yami: That figures. But I bet that he had it coming. Heh heh.
Kibou: I like the interaction with lessons. ^^ anyway, tomorrow is the day that I get to try and make my “healthy recipe” in Culinary class. I ended up mixing my original cookie recipe with one found in another cook book, so they have less fat and sugar. They’re going to be oatmeal raisin. *crosses fingers* I hope they turn out good!
Yami: Well, you’re making them, you’re the awesome chef, remember? *nudges*
Kibou: Yeah, well, ya learn through trial and error, ne?

   Look at That.... 5 days in a row of posting?
Kibou: I’m just poppin’ in to say how my day was. ^^ Today was the fist day of the second quarter.
Yami: There were some changes in the schedule, but not too much.
Kibou: Now, I have:

Global Studies (Different hour, different teacher)
Computer/Video Arts (new class!)
And my Culinary Class (Same thru and thru)

I do like my old Global Studies teacher. She had a better way of teaching, in my opinion. I know, I know, it’s just the first day... but maybe I’ll like this one as well.
Yami: Who knows?
Kibou: Um... the people who had her class last term? ^^; I guess! Heehee. Anyway, there’s something I have to do for Culinary, a competition of sorts for a scholarship. (yay) but I’m short on ideas. (more about that in a bit) Other news... um.... I still need to get my latest drawing up. Yep, it’s a drawing. It may take longer then I thought though. ;_; Hope I can get it up here today....

   It’s a sign of the Apocalypse....
Kibou: The world is coming to an end. Why? I’m tired.
Yami: You are never tired. Maybe you just slept weird.
Kibou: Arg, I don’t like being tired. >< But anyway..... Yesterday was fine. ^^ didn’t do all that much. I waited for my dad to leave at 5 so I could have the house to myself for the night. *laughs evilly* But I think my anime night is starting to come back! I got to see Naruto and Blood +. I was working on something, so I missed Death Note. Naruto was very, very good. Go Choji! But I really have to applaud Blood+. It’s an awesome and interesting storyline. I love it!
Yami: Yesterday’s episode was a good battle epi. Lots of action.

Kibou: That’s why I love it! Alright, the something I was going to submit yesterday I’ll (hopefully) submit and get up here today. No later than tomorrow. Look out for a wallpaper too. ^^ I finally have time to do some of these things since 1st term is over! And with that said, I’m going to start looking for a job... again. >< I hope someone will hire me this time, Christmas is coming!

   Too slow, too fast.... Feels like Sunday.....
Kibou: This past week was interesting. Another 4-day week, (had yesterday off) but filled with getting ready for finals on Thursday.
Yami: A lot of running around and studying!
Kibou: Hope it paid off. *crosses fingers* The week was more stressful than other weeks of finals. It was because the 9th (yesterday) was the anniversary of my mom’s death. V_V (It’s been 11 years... ><) So it was a bit hard for me this week, since half the time I was a bit depressed. I’m sure I’ll be back to “normal” (^_~ ) tomorrow or maybe Monday.
Yami: Well you’re going to have a new class on Monday, so that’s something to smile about, right?
Kibou: Uh-huh. A new schedule for the new term. ^^ I guess only two things happened this week: Thrusday, I almost missed the bus from the college! (which was totally funny!) And yesterday, some of my mom’s family went to the cemetery, placed some flowers on the grave, and then went out to dinner. It was really nice. (then I went and bought biscotti! XD Yay!)
Yami: You and biscotti.... ^_~

“Anika...” Salih said, turning around to meet her eyes. “I have to ask you something.” Anika looked from side to side.
“Yes?” she answered.
“...What are you hiding from me?” Salih asked. Anika let out a light scoff and smiled a bit.
“Nothing,” she told him.
“Alright.” Salih nodded.
“Then what are you not telling me?” Anika then knew that Salih wanted to know what really went on during the past five months or so. A small laugh escaped from Anika.
“If I tell you... you’re going to get real defensive again.” Salih shook his head.
“No, no. I just got defensive because I knew that you weren’t telling me something, and I could see that in your eyes.”
“Ooh, he got me...” Anika thought.
“So please, tell me what you know...” he paused, then smiled, “And I promise I won’t get defensive.” Knowing that, Anika smiled herself and sat down with Salih. “If it’s not too much to ask, could you tell me about the day the village was pillaged?” Anika looked away from Salih to the ground, then out to the horizon.
“I don’t remember too much about that day...” Salih opened his mouth to speak, but Anika went on. “what I do remember is Khalil running from the river, yelling about the Pillagers.” Anika closed her eyes. “And Bakura came.” She clenched her fist. “He tried to grab me, but my power, the thing inside, actually protected me.... Then I awoke here, at the palace.” Salih nodded.
“Did that woman Khalidah come right after that?” Anika shook her head.
“No.” Anika told Salih about the time she ran back to the village, only to see that it was completely demolished, and how Bakura showed up again.
“He seems to pop up a lot.” Salih pointed out. Anika shuddered a little.
“Yeah.... but we don’t have to worry about him anymore. Him or Khalidah.” Anika sighed in relief.
“How is that?” Salih questioned.
“Prince Atem defeated Bakura, and I think I.... actually beat Khalidah....” Anika paused to think about the fact.
“Well,” Salih interrupted her thoughts. “Why don’t you tell me about those challenges of yours?”
“Oh, they were challenges alright.” Anika laughed. “No doubt about it.” Anika told Salih about most of what had happened. She talked about Khalidah, Bakura, all of their plans to take over Egypt and how they were defeated. Salih just shook his head,
“Amazing.” Salih finally said. “I was right about you when I saw you here on the roof this morning.” Anika looked at Salih and Salih gave it right back to Anika and finally stated, “You have gotten stronger.”

   I Remember....
Well, it’s the beginning of another 3-day weekend. It was the last day of the quarter for me yesterday, so I have today off! Yay! ^^ But it couldn’t be better timing. I’m glad I have today off. Not to sound all morbid, but today is the 11th anniversary of my mom’s death. T_T (I’m not going to go into a big rant about it, that came last year.) But gawd, 11 years.......that’s about 65% of my life. *sigh* It’s hard to lose someone who you were so close to, but never really got the chance to know them....
Ok, here’s the part of the week I didn’t really talk about. I was kind of stressed, ok, really stressed this week. Around this time of year, I always get depressed, even when I’m not thinking about today. It didn’t help that I had finals this week, either. >< so yeah, it was a little tough for me. Did I cry? Yeah, of course I did, but only Kana-chan knew it. ^^ I still owe her a hug. Heh. But I think I’ll be back to my normal, 100% hyper self by Sunday. (heehee) but don’t think I was completely sad all this week, I can still smile! ^^ All of you and all my friends at school make me smile! ^_____^ *huggles everyone* Domo Arigato!
Today, my grandma (Mom’s mom) and I are going to go get flowers to put on my mom’s grave. *nods* I’m going to see if we can get her favorite flower. ^^ My grandpa, aunt, uncle, and 2 cousins are going to join us for dinner, just like last year. . It’s kind of a bittersweet reunion, but it’s still all good. ^_^

   Is it over? Yes, yes it is......
Kibou: *passes out on the couch* I made it through the week!
Yami: Well, there’s still Friday, but yes, you made it through the schoolweek.
Kibou: I had finals today, it’s the end of the term. I really, really, REALLY hope that I did well on them. I worked as hard as I could...... I was aiming for the A honor roll, but hopefully I’ll make the B. *crosses fingers* We’ll know soon enough. Other things going on... *thinks* Oh! I almost missed the bus back to my school from the college! XD I was helping with clean-up after we made chicken pot pie, and I was running late. I just BOLTED through the halls, and had to run to catch the bus, which was almost out of the parking lot. XD
Yami: You did make it, but you forgot the pot pie. XP Whoops.
Kibou: We all make mistakes; I just make them more often then not. Maybe my teacher will be super nice and place it in the freezer for later. That was my excitement for today. There’s not any real news, I guess today. Working on some stuff to submit here..... I dunno where that’s going to go right at this point. ^^; I hope to get it all done soon.
I’ll stop babbling and get to sites now...

   *sobs*
I’m really sorry about not getting to sites yesterday, you guys! T_T I’m going to get to most of them now, and a later when I’m on a break from studying for my Astronomy test tomorrow. Please wish me luck, I really want to boost my grade to, or at least, get closer to, an A! Domo arigato! *hugs*
In other news, though, IT’S SNOWING! XDDDDD!!! Yay! Well, it’s a 3-flurry every once in a while today, but still, it’s frozen raindrops! XD heehee. not to mention lots of wind....
