   Another Long Week is Over
Kibou: Phew! This week took forever to end...
Yami: and then you wonder why the weekend has to be so short!
Kibou: Right.. anyway, Monday was Kana-chan’s birthday. ^^ I got her a key-and-lock necklace, hidden in some Skittles in a small egg-shaped candle holder with the kanji “seeker of truth” I had painted on there. She loved them all. ^^ yay! Tuesday we made cookies in my chef class. I gave one to my old English teacher, and she said it was the best PB cookie she ever had. XP That was cool.
Yami: But to even out the good, Wednesday was a bit stressful, wasn’t it?
Kibou: >< Gawd, yes. I had to work on my Astronomy homework in the morning, that took a while, then I had found out that we had a long homeroom, meaning I had to rush to eat lunch, a bunch of other stuff happened that I can’t remember right now, but then I had two tests to study for, both on Thursday. Hope I did well. Also on Thursday, a storm swept through here, dumping over 2 inches of rain. O_o It was fun to watch! XD Friday was... eh... good and not so good. Being sick this week didn’t help much, either! ^^; I hope that this upcoming week is a lot better!

Salih followed Anika to her bedroom. He was surprised once again. He let out a sigh after a while.
“Look, Anika...” he began. “I want to apologize about earlier. I mean, with you here at the palace, after the village was destroyed...” Anika shook her head with a faint smile.
“It’s okay. I understand where you were coming from.” She told him. “I was surprised too when the prince said I could call him ‘Atem’. Actually, I was really surprised when I found myself here in the first place. But like you said, I am, and you too, we’re not royalty. I’d have to be kidding myself to think that--”
“Wait a minute.” Salih interrupted and made Anika stop by a wave of his hand. “I... didn’t really mean all that.” He admitted. “It’s just, you know, a bit of exasperation.” Anika nodded slowly.
“Yeah....”
“But the prince seems like a very nice person.” Salih pointed out. “And he appears to care about you, Anika.” Anika remembered all that she and Atem had been through and all the enemies they had faced and defeated. She shook her head a bit, ridding her mind of the thought. She let a long breath escape from her.
“Yeah... well..... I-I guess.” She agreed quietly looking down. A moment of silence followed. Anika looked up at Salih and into his eyes. She stepped towards him, and wrapped her arms around his neck. “I’ve missed you so much...” she murmured. Salih was cought off guard for a moment, but soon put Anika in his own embrace.
“The feeling is mutual. I was worried about you when I left. I thought of you, my best friend, everyday.” He whispered as he stroked her hair. After a while, both were sitting on Anika’s bed, both lost in their own thoughts. Salih soon got into Anika’s bed to rest. Anika watched him as he fell asleep. She let out a small sigh and left the room. After walking around for a while, Anika heard some commotion further down the hall. She stopped and listened, then took a few steps forward. Some guards and advisers were walking around, talking about Atem. Anika saw Atem between everyone, but decided to not become part of the crowd. She turned around and left the way she came. She began to wonder where Khalil had bee all this time. “How long has it been since we all returned?” Anika thought. She looked out a window, and saw that the sun was half set already. She drew her attention away from the window, and Mana suddenly popped in front of her. Anika jumped and began to laugh at herself. Mana was in her usual smiling mood. “At least I don’t have to worry about calling Mana anything but ‘Mana’.” Anika laughed to herself at the thought.
“Hi!” she finally spoke. Mana laughed and winked,
“There is something I gotta tell you!” she grabbed Anika’s hand and lead her away.

   One day down, one more to go.
Kibou: Kana-chan’s party yesterday was ok, as usual. He dad’s family came over, but Kana-chan was feeling a bit anti-social, like always... Dunno why, she’s a chatterbox like me. ^^; But we watched some videos on Youtube, and ate pizza, brownies, rice krispy bars, and ice cream cake. =D I got to take some home as well.
Yami: which you ate half of when you came back.
Kibou: Well you helped. XP No anime to speak of today, didn’t watch any. I’m trying to get into Blood+. Saw one epi, and I LOVED IT! ^^ Whoo! But anyway, I’ve gotten tagged by a few people, and now, finally, here are my 8 facts:

1.) I love to dance.(Obviously) I’ll dance to just about anything that has a good beat. It’s also a great way for me to de-stress.
2.) In all my cooking years (Uh, my whole life) I have never cut myself. However, I have burned myself enough times to make up for both accidents.... ^^;
3.) I have déjà vu... a lot. I just had one when I was typing the 2nd fact. Weird, huh?
4.) I love to be up in the air in some way or form, but I love to swim, however, my element is fire. (Now how does that figure?)
5.) I am a very shy person, even though I can talk non-stop
6.) I am completely independent, and I am loving it.
7.) I may LOOK like a pushover, but I’m very strong, mentally and physically
8.) And uh.......My eyes are cool. At least, that’s what Kana-chan tells me..... ^^;;;;;;

   Another Saturday.... finally.
Kibou: This week seemed a bit longer this time around. Not too many things were going on.
Yami: But you seemed to be running around a lot.
Kibou: Maybe in the house. *shrugs* Anyway, during this week, we got to make salsa in my Chef class on Tuesday, plus we made chicken noodle soup and potato soup on Thursday. The salsa was ok, chicken noodle I’m not a fan of, same with the potato. Also on Tuesday, I went to Kana-chan’s to download some songs. (she has a good download-thing going for her. ^^) I got some songs from Nami Tamaki’s latest album, plus opening and closing songs from FMA, Inuyasha, and Naruto. =D
Yami: Then you come home, put it in the stereo, and crank it up. ^^;;
Kibou: I was a bit hyper then. XP Guess that’s it school-wise. Other news? IT”S FREEZING COLD HERE! It was in the 90s a week or so ago, and now it’s getting up to about 60..... Feels like October...... *looks to the sun* can’t you heat up the earth a bit faster?!

Anika watched Atem leave with Isis under unknown circumstances.
“Anyway...” Anika heard. She turned back to Salih. “How did you end up here at the palace, Anika?” he asked. Anika looked around the floor, then met Salih’s eyes.
“Well,” she began, “As the village was being destroyed, the walls around me collapsed.” She sighed. Salih looked at her, meeting her eyes again.
“It was because of the power inside?” he questioned. Anika nodded.
“It seemed to protect me, but I was knocked unconscious. Then I woke up here... at the palace.”
“And you haven’t been mistreated here have you? Since you’re not of royalty?” Salih kept asking questions.
“No, everyone here is really kind.” Anika responded. “I’ve made a few new friends, actually. And Atem said that--”
“’A-Atem’?!” Salih exclaimed in a harsh whisper. “You’re calling the Prince by his name alone?” Anika tensed.
Well, he said--” she began before Salih cut her off.
“Isn’t that a dishonor to him? Calling him only by his name from our status? I don’t think even the priests can call him that, can they?” He turned away from Anika. Neither of them spoke for a moment. Sahil looked behind him and saw Anika looking at the ground, with her feelings a bit hurt. “I’m sorry.” he sighed. “I’m shouldn’t have got all that wound up over that, it just surprised me, and I’m a bit tired from the trip...” Anika nodded very slightly, meaning she understood. She put a smile on her face to hide something she had just realized, and put her hand on Salih’s shoulder.
“You need to rest.” She told him. Salih looked at her and smiled lightly as Anika lead her to her room. When Sahil wasn’t looking at her, Anika looked to the ground, “What am I doing here?” she thought. “I’m not royalty, I simply don’t belong here.... All this time....... have I been kidding myself?” she sadly sighed at continued to move along.

“What’s the urgency Isis?” Atem asked as he followed Isis into her spell room.
“While you were away, my Millennium Necklace began to sense something. I came here, and when I focused, I did not see a vision, but heard something in my mind.” Atem’s eyebrows rose.
“What did you hear?” he asked.
“It seemed like a prophecy, or sometime of riddle of your past lives, Prince Atem.” Isis answered as she walked over to the center of her room. She closed her eyes, concentrated, and recited what she had heard before, “The one I care for has something inside. That one can have the world divide. One small thing decides a fate, they must decide before it’s too late.” Atem knew exactly what it was from. “It’s the riddle from the tunnel!” he thought.
“That’s quite the riddle.” He said aloud, pretending he knew nothing about it. Isis nodded.
“There’s something else, but it may be a coincidence. I received this.... message, you could call it... right after that young man showed up in the palace.”

   What do you mean I have to go to school tomorrow?
Kibou: Well, here’s the last day of my first weekend in school. I have to get used to this....
Yami: Eh, it’ll be fine. So what went on yesterday? Your Driving?
Kibou: Yeah, my driving! I went with Shelly, which was a million times better than going with my dad, since he starts freaking out every two seconds, making me all nervous. O_o I worked on my turns, and I got a lot better at them! I will still practice though. Monday I start my driver’s training!
Yami: Good luck with that.
Kibou: Oh, I’ll need it! So anyway, I got to watch the Naruto Movie last night! ^^ yay! And I made som more Chai tea!
Yami: which probably wasn’t the best idea, you seemed a bit hyper afterwards..... Then when you were making comments on sites... Wow... you didn’t sit still and wouldn’t stop talking!
Kibou: I should start drinking green tea instead..... just... maybe......

   Saturday? Already?
Kibou: I’m not complaining that it’s Saturday, but WOW! this week went by fast!
Yami: one week down of school, and.... a bunch more to go. ^_^;
Kibou: Well, school is now all I really have to talk about. And it’s been pretty good. The only homework I’ve really gotten is in Global Stuides. But it’s fun. ^_~ Why? It has to do with Egypt!
Yami: Should have figured.... heh heh
Kibou: ^^ My teacher asked if anyone knew what a cartouche was, and of course my hand shoots up, and I was still the only one that knew But. I. Must. Not. Ramble. About. Yu-Gi-Oh. In class! XD Too bad it’s such a short section in the book! Oh well, the whole world has history, ne? And did I tell you guys? In my cooking class, we get our own chef coats, with our names on them! ^____^ They’ll be coming in sometime mid-week, then we’ll be able to work in the kitchen! *spins in chair* YESH!!!!!
Yami: You should bring the turkey burgers you made last night to class.
Kibou: But they suck! XD
Yami: If they did, I wouldn’t have eaten it!
Kibou: Oh, whatever! Lastly, today I’m going to go driving with Shelly, since I didn’t Thursday. I get to go onto the highway! O_o Gawd, wish me luck!

As soon as Salih held out the bracelet, Anika gasped as all the memories flashed back to her...
“Sa...lih...” Anika murmered after a moment of silence. Salih smiled lightly as Anika spoke his name. Atem glanced at Anika.
“So you know who he is, Anika?” Atem asked softly. Anika came out of her trance-like state.
“Yes....I do.” She breathed as she turned to Salih. “Please forgive me, Salih, for not remembering, I’m sorry that--” He stopped her words short by putting up his hand.
“It’s quite all right.” He said to her. “I understand.” He smiled again. Anika nodded and turned to Atem.
“When I had left my home village, I had no where to go. I reached another village, I was alone. I found a place to stay, but I didn’t have much, but Salih and his family helped me out, and Salih and I became good friends.” Anika smiled at the memory.
“My family had moved down very far away to southern Egypt. My father claimed there was better farmland there, so we had to leave.” Salih added on. “When I told Anika the news, she made me this bracelet to remember her by.” He said, holding up the bracelet again. Atem listened attentively and nodded. Salih turned his attention to Anika. “So what have you been up to, Anika?” he asked. Anika paused before answering the question.
“Not much, really...” she said
“Just staying at the palace?” Salih chuckled. “Where I take you’re being treated well?” he went on
“Of course” Atem answered. Salih nodded.
“Wouldn’t doubt it.” he smiled.
“So what brought you back to your old village?” Atem asked Salih.
“I have always wanted to be a traveler.” He explained. “And my father knew that. He said that now that I was eighteen, I could venture out on my own. My home village is where I really wished to go, to see if there were any familiar faces.” He winked at Anika, making her laugh a little.
“I’m sorry that you came home to ruins.” Atem spoke.
“Thank you.” Salih replied quietly, bowing slightly.
“If you would like, you may stay here for a while, regain some of your strength from your journey.” Atem suggested. Salih and Anika’s eyes both lit up.
“Thank you!” Salih repeated, “I would be honored,” bowing again.
“You’re quite welcome.” Atem told him. He looked at Salih and Anika, as he opened his mouth he heard someone coming from behind. Isis came from around the corner with a slight worried look across her face. “Is something wrong, Isis?” Atem asked.
“I am not sure. Please, would you follow me?” She replied. Atem became a bit more serious and nodded. He looked back at Anika, who also nodded before he left with Isis.
“I hope that you speak the truth, and let no harm come to Anika.” Salih thought to himself.

   Somewhat All Around Once Again
Kibou: Oohhh... posting twice in one school week! Shocker. XD I have time today. ^^ School isn’t loading me up with homework as I thought, so I’m not under a lot of stress, at leat, not yet.
Yami: but you said that it’s been really hectic at school...
Kibou: Well, I guess it’s both. Explination: I have a long homeroom everyday this week, meaning lunch gets set at a later time, 11:15. I have to be out at the front of the school at 11:25 so I can catch the bus to go to my STEP class at 11:30. I have to get down fro mt the 2nd floor, and through the lunch line. So that’s the hectic part. Today, I just cut my sandwich in half, and one half, ran outside to the front to meet the bus, & ate the other half. I’m SO glad that I don’t have to deal with this everyday! *phew*
Yami: Yeah, that’s TOO hectic, running around an such.
Kibou: I’m glad that I can eat at my own pace at home! ^^; On another note, I want to thank every and anyone who sent my latest e-card! *huggles everyone* It made the front page! Yay! It was sent 41 times, 8 comments, and 23 faves. O_o wow! ^^ Thanks again, you guys! I’m going to try to get some other new e-cards up as well pretty soon here. Umm... I guess that’s it! I still have a small amount of homework, which shouldn’t take too long. But I need to get that out of the way ASAP! I’m sorry if I can’t get to everyone’s site today, I am going to be busy a bit ater, I’m going to practice some driving later on... Sorry! V_V

   First Day of School
A-Ha! I can post today! ^^ Anyway, my first day of the 11th grade went well. I woke up, ate breakfast, got dressed, and got out the door. Sat by Kana-chan, duh, and got to school. Um... I saw a few of my friends, which was nice. In first hour astronomy, I know maybe about 6 to 7 people. Of those, I only talk to two: Kendra and James. Second hour with Global Studies, I know A LOT of people, but don’t really talk to them. (They’re mainly acquaintances) then there’s lunch. Yum. I didn’t know who was in first lunch, but when I went outside I aw a girl named Rachael, and then I saw my friend Heather come out of the other door. As I went to sit down, I hear, “KIBOU CHAAAAAN!!!!!!!!” I spun around to see Kana-chan! (Yesh!) What could be better than having your best friend in your lunch? THEN>>>>>> There’s my Culinary class at STEP. It’s hosted at the neighboring city’s college, and as we took a tour of the kitchen, I started already thinking of ideas for food, and thinking of what we were going to be able to do in that class... ^^; the only bad thing is that on the bus ride back to school, It took FOREVER to get out of the parking lot, and the bus driver took a turn to pick someone ELSE up (who wasn’t even there!) And then half way back, there was a small popping sound. The bus blew an exhaust gasket. >< so we were going at 25 mph all the rest of the way. The busses were surprisingly still at the school, but couldn’t find my bus. >< Arg. So... I just called my dad and he came to pick me up. I came home, and totally gulped down water, and yogurt! Hey, it was 90 degrees out, and I was hungry! ^^; That’s where I am now.

Also, I want to apologize for not getting to sites yesterday! V_V I started getting my school stuff together, and then my dad took over the computer, then he was on it for 4 hours... Arg.... (again) but today, he’s going to play softball, so I’ll have the computer all to myself...... as soon as I have my homework done... ><

   Last Day!
This is the last day of summer vacation for me! Even though I’m excited to start my classes, it’s a bummer that I won’t be able to do whatever I want whenever I want! I’m pretty much posting to let everyone know that I may not be able to post and comment that often. Weekends, maybe I’ll cut down to just Saturday. *shrugs*
Here’s my schedule:

So this first quarter looks good! The cooking class is 2 class periods long. (yay!) So it’s like I only have 3 classes, not four.
If all goes well tomorrow, I’ll post again about my first day. Does anyone care? No. Will I still do it? Yes.
-Yesterday- Shelly came over and made dinner. Chicken Marsala with chive potatoes. (YUM) And there are leftovers.... for now....
-Today- I need to get my backpack and everything school-related organized. (Folders, notebooks and such) I’m going to get to sites as well. (that’s a big DUH) I’ll probavly go running around outside, enjoying the dwindling amout of frredom I have left until more moths pass and summer is here once again!

   Not Too Much To Say...
Kibou: not much happened yesterday. I just had a real bad sour stomach/stomachache. >< I still feel a little sick... Blech. .. What else is there? ... Bingo is over here again. ^^ yay! I missed him... (from dog-sitting for a week. He’s so cute) Um... I got a new backpack yesterday, since the one that I have doesn’t fit into my locker for some dumb reason! >< So I just have to get all that ready... School starts Tuesday!
Yami: Getting up at 6am, seeing friends, and doing homework. Oh, and the cooking class, of course, right?
Kibou: *nods* Looking forward to the class! (I’ll never shut up about it bet. ^^;;) On another note, I’m not sure how Anime night was... I didn’t really watch it! Oops. Well, Yu-Gi-Oh wasn’t on for one! >< So is there going to be no more YGO in TV? *sniff* Hope not... and I missed Naruto when I was getting my backpack, if it was on. And late at night, Kana-chan and I talked on the phone for over 2 hours! ^^; Whoops! It was funny.
Yami: that’s the leatest record for the two of you.
Kibou: Yeah... *looks at Yami* Hmmm.... *put the Egyptian headdress on his head again* ^^ heehee
Yami: ........... ok then...........

   FAIR!!!!!!
Kibou: and Yami thought I was going to be tired today after the fair. Well, I kind of am. Anyway, a recap of the week: Monday I went over to my friend Stefi’s house, that was fun. I was there until midnight... not too fun... Tuesday-Thursday, parts of those days were spent organizing and cleaning my room. Wednesday and Thursday got all my shopping done for school clothes. (yay) And Friday was the fair. ^^
Yami: I told you that you’d be tired this morning. ^_~
Kibou: Eh, I’ll be fine. But as state fairs go, it was fun! I ate a bunch of food (DUH) I went and saw llamas! ^_^; There was a dress-up contest, and there was a llama dressed as an Egyptian! XD I loved it! Couldn’t stop laughing. They won 2nd place. On the animal subject, I saw little piglets, calves, fawns, and ducklings. It’s really cool seeing all the baby animals.
Yami: And what did you bring home? *rustles through bag*
Kibou: Oh, well, I won 2 things, and I bought a Polish key chain, a small silver pyramid, and an Egyptian head dress at the International Bazaar! ^^ And I got a small stuffed dragon on the way out of the fair.
Yami: *puts on the head dress* How do I look?
Kibou: .... *tries not to laugh*... ^____^

“Really?” Anika laughed. “...And it was completely full?” Atem laughed with her,
“Yes! Mana was showing Mahad how she could lift a jug of water with her magic, her magic went awry, and the water went all over Mahad!” he exclaimed. Atem, Anika and Khalil had just returned from their walk to a village. Khalil was on Atem’s shoulders as Anika was carrying a basket of fresh fruit. Everyone was laughing as a servant approached them and bowed. They all stopped laughing for the moment.
“Prince Atem,” the servant spoke, “while you were away, a visitor came to see you. He is in the hall leading to the throne room.” ‘A visitor?’ Atem thought.
“Yes, thank you.” He said aloud. Atem stooped down so Khalil could easily get off of his shoulders. Atem walked towards the throne room. He saw a young man, about his own age, sitting, looking at the ground, just as the servant had said. His belongings in a couple of bags rest beside him. The man heard Atem near him. He looked and quickly stood up.
“Prince,” he bowed. “My name is Salih. If you would, I wish to have an audience with you.” Atem nodded.
“Very well,” he said. Salih took a deep breath.
“Prince,” he repeated, “About five years ago I left my home village and traveled to another village far away with my family. A month ago, I decided I wanted to return to my home village. But when I arrived, I saw that it had been destroyed. I asked another village on my way here what had happened, they told me it was Thief Bakura’s doing.” He paused for a moment before continuing. “I was wondering, well, hoping actually if --” He stopped short as he saw Anika appear from behind Atem. “Anika!” he exclaimed. “Is it really you?” Anika jumped and was as shocked Atem as he called her name. ”You’re here! Safe and sound!” Salih smiled brightly, elated to see her.
“Anika? Do you know him?” Atem asked. Anika looked Atem, then at Salih. She shook her head, her eyes averting away from the two.
“No... I don’t remember much before the village was destroyed and my...” She trailed off. Salih’s eyes grew wide.
“Your power overwhelmed you? It really happened?” he looked at her sympathetically. Anika shot her look back at Sailh.
“How do you know? .... Who... are you?” Anika questioned him. She tensed a bit. Salih saw she truly didn’t remember him.
“Maybe this will help...” he rustled through a small bag he kept at his side. “You gave this to me, Anika, before I left...”Sailh explained. He pulled out a small bracelet, made from a black wool string with small red, white, and yellow beads on it. As soon as he held it at arm’s length, Anika gasped as all the memories flashed back to her...

Well, this is the one day in the year that I don’t have something breakfast-like for, well, for breakfast! It’s leftover cookies this morning for breakfast. Then it’s back to eating my normal, healthy ways. ^^
