Busy to boring.
Kibou: Alright! This past week we had Christmas!
Yami: and Christmas Eve!
Kibou: and lots of running around! I hope that everyone had a good Christmas, or any other holiday that you may have celebrated over the week. ^__^ Christmas Eve was good. this year with my mom’s family, we drew names for gifts. So one persent from a cousin, and from the grandparents Christmas was ok...
Yami: for the most part.
Kibou: My cousin Whitney was there. She is a which. >< Not going into detail with that, but she was doing some crap, and my dad yelled at her, then she left. (Yush!) She was actually hurting poor Bingo. >< Grr.... Then there's Kana-chan’s pressies! Like last post, she gave me a beautiful scrapbook of me, her, & our friends (late b-day gift.) and thanks to her, I am now the proud owner of a Yami plushie! *fan girl scream* Yayness! Had to take a pic. ^^; she gave me the shirt too. ‘Tis most awesome. (opens in new window)

And now this week was boring! XD And I’ll stop babbling about nothing-ness....

Anika’s thoughts were interrupted suddenly as she heard an evil laugh.
“Who’s there?!” She yelled out as she spun around, looking for someone. When she saw that no one was near here, a chill ran down her spine. “My mind must be playing tricks on me.” She murmured softly. She looked to the rising sun, and shielded her eyes from its rays. “Maybe I’m staying out I the sun too much.” She took another quick look around before heading back inside.
The day passed slowly. Anika and Mana had their usual meeting to work on sewing their dresses. Anika didn’t see a lot of Atem during the day, as he was busy with the upcoming ceremony. So, Anika spent most of the day with Salih. She mentioned the evil laugh she heard earlier that morning. Salih looked at her curiously as she spoke.
“Well,” Salih began. “No evil force is going to get to you, they have to get through me first.” Salih smiled. “But hearing the laugh, it just must have been your mind playing tricks. I’m sure there’s nothing to worry about.” Anika nodded.
“Yeah, you’re probably right.”
The sun was beginning to set. Anika peered out a window, out to the sky. She looked up and saw a full moon. The sight made her shudder slightly. “I’m... going to bed.” She told Salih. “I’m getting tired, and I have a slight headache...” Salih looked out at the moon as well.
“Right.” he answered. “Good night then.” Anika smiled weakly, nodded her head once, and disappeared behind the curtain.
It was now the dead of the night, Anika was stirring in bed.
“Now is the time.” a voice inside her head told her. “Anika, wake up, Anika.” Anika moaned a little as she sleepily got up. She suddenly felt another force take control of her body as her eyes turned a dark green color. “I’ve been waiting for a weak spot to show up.” Bakura’s voice was now clear in her head. “I’m glad I didn’t extract all my energy from you when I took over the first time.” Under Bakura’ control, Anika walked out into the hallway, and looked both ways, no one in sight. “Excellent.” He said, walking down the hall. With the occasional look aver the shoulder, Bakura led Anika down to the priest’s rooms. Just after she turned the corner, Mahad left his room for a moment, leaving the Millennium Ring behind. Anika smirked and walked into the room, illuminated by the full moo, searching for the sacred item. It humbly lay on a table right next to the bed. “All too easy” Bakura whispered. He commanded Anika to hold the Ring, parallel to her face. She breathed in deeply, and slowly let it out. With that, the bit of Bakura’s energy slipped out of Anika’s body and into the Millennium Ring. Anika regained control of her half-asleep body, and her eyes turned back to their normal color. She stumbled out of the room. Salih had awoken from a strange dream and now was slowly walking further down the hall, towards Anika’s room. He looked up and gasped.
“Anika!” he called out just as she suddenly fell and collapsed on the floor.

Thanks for those who voted last week! ^^ It helped out a lot! And YLover, Anika and Atem kiss twice. Once when Atem first saved her, and once on Anika’s birthday. Yeah, it doesn’t happen very often! ^^
