Tired from Last Night
Kibou: Yesterday my mom’s family celebrated my birthday! (I can't wait for the actual day!) Yay! We went bowling. (LOVE bowling) I didn’t do so well. I was too excited and had a lot on my mind then. ^^; But I got some good presents. (Kind of) I got a fuzzy robe. I LOVE wearing it (and I am now!). It’s so... fuzzy!
Yami: *feeling the robe* It is really fuzzy. It seems so warm.
Kibou: there was $20 and DDR Dance Nova in the mix! Dancenova sounds cool, but it’s not that great from what I did, anyway. It's too slow. I like the challenging stuff.
Yami: The ones that when you go to fast you practically faint and then scare me!
Kibou: Yep. Those ones. But We’ll give “NOVA” another chance another time. There's chocolate cake which I’m sure will be gone in a matter of days. I’m looking forward to this next week. There’s my birthday, Lisa’s choir concert, Stephie’s birthday party, then top it off with my birthday party.
Yami: Wow. busy. December is hectic.
Kibou: Yeah... I’m done talking for now, getting on with the story. (It’s a bit long! Sorry about that!)

The sun rose in the sky the next morning. Khalil woke up not from the sun, but Keon loading supplies onto the camel they rode on. Khalil walked out of the cave where he slept.
“Ah! So you’re awake, Khalil. Good.” Khalil nodded.
“Are we ready to go?” He asked, already excited for what may lie ahead: Seeing his sister. Keon shook his head.
“Here’s some breakfast.” He handed Khalil a piece of fruit, which Khalil ate quickly. Keon used the time to pack up Khalil’s things as well. Everything secure, and they were off.

With the sun being up for a few good hours, Anika wondered where Atem could be. She hadn’t seen him all day. While Anika was walking down the hall, she ran into Mana.
“Hey, Mana.” Anika spoke.
“Hey!” Came Mana’s response.
“Hey. It’s time.” A voice said from a nearby room. Both looked to see Mahad coming out. “Time for another magic lesson, Mana.” He said, folding his arms. Mana nodded. She turned to Anika and asked,
“Anika, do you want to come along?” Mahad nodded an “OK” for Anika after thinking it over and she took the offer.
“Sure.” She said as they entered the room. “I’m just curious. Has anyone seen Atem today?” Mana and Mahad looked at each other. Mahad shook his head. “I’m sure he’s just very busy.”

Atem had been busy. He was riding on his horse across the desert, searching. A while passed when he finally found what he was looking for: an oasis with numerous flowers among it. Atem sighed, “Perfect.”

Far in the desert, Khalil and Keon were on their way to the palace. Khalil barely able to contain his excitement. Nevertheless, he was oblivious to everything at this point, but Keon had been noticing that there was a bit a of sand being picked up by the winds.
“I think we should stop for a minute. Let the wind die down.”
“Huh?” Khalil questioned, then noticed the sand blowing. “Oh....” Keon saw something of a large rock ahead. He stopped the camel and let Khalil off. As soon as his feet reached the ground, it shook violently. The wind picked up greatly, decreasing visibility. Keon quickly got off the camel, yet still hanging on to it as he yelled,
“Khalil!” he saw the small boy and grabbed him, but it was no use. In a matter of minutes, they were sucked under the sands of Egypt.

Many hours passed. Now, Mana was entertaining Anika with some of the spells she knew. The lesson was over. Anika was in the middle of a bout of laughter when Seto came in. “Mahad, Mana. Please come to the meeting room. There are some things to go over.” Both nodded. “that’s it for today, Anika!” Mana laughed as she left. Anika was soon alone. She thought maybe Atem was around, on his way to a meeting or something. Still, she wondered the halls all the same, off in her own world. “Today was actually... good. But still, I want it to end. Maybe my dream....” Her thoughts interrupted by the sight of Atem.
“Atem! Hey!” she called and ran up to him. Atem greeted her with a smile. “Did you get everything done today? Mahad told me you were busy.” Atem nodded.
“Yes. Everything is done. Except for one thing.”
“What’s that?” Anika asked.
Atem took Anika by the hand.
“There’s something I want to show you...” he said, leading her through the palace.
