"Christmas time is here......"
"A Charlie Brown Christmas" I love that show!
Well, alot has happened lately. Thursday night I went carroling with some friends around the neighborhood. It was actually quite fun, especially since we had little kids with us and of course, nothing is cuter than little kids trying to sing. ^^
Yesterday I went out to lunch with my mum and a family friend of ours and her son to Olive Garden, which just happens to be my favorite resteraunt. ^^ Yeah, I'm a sucker for Italian food, so what? And then after that I got to see Memoirs of a Geisha. I really liked that movie, it was actually quite moving. The music that they used in it was very beautiful and the movie itself was beautiful. After the movie I got to go to Barnes and Noble. ^^ Got 2 new mangas: the second volume of Legal Drug (thanks to Katy-san and AJ-kun for getting me hooked on it) and second volume of Cowboy Bebop. Now I'm broke. >< I haven't been broke in a long time, but I know there's at least 1 gift card for me to get tomorrow. *coughbarensandnoblecoughcough* =^^=
Well, I managed to send everyone on my friends list a Christmas card. Took me awhile to actually find a good card and then send it to everyone since I have a hard time just staying in one spot for so long. Gotta. Keep. Moving! Blah. *sniffle* I think I'm coming down with something. >< Crap, that'll be the second time I'm sick during Christmas! Grrrrrnessness. ><
Shnugens.
Merry Christmas and happy holidays!

"Hearing your name the memories come back again...."
"Figure 09" by Linkin Park
Ok, I found this interesting thing in my school newspaper and I thought ya'll would like to read it, so here it is. Note: I'm not putting who wrote it but it's someone I actually know.
"Merry Christmahanakwanzikah to you, Winter Break, Happy Holidays. What load of mistletoe is all that?!
Most stores, schools, and public organizations say "happy holidays" or something similar because they don't want to say "Merry Christmas". Why is that? The majority of Americans celebrate Christmas (in their own fashion). Why can't my teacher put up a "Merry Christmas" poster? Why can't I be greeted at a store with "Merry Christmas"? Well, I figured it out.
People seem to think that offending others is passe, something that should be avoided. And normally I would agree. We shouldn't go out of our way to offend people. But this is across the line. A Muslim (or a Hindu or an atheist or a Buddhist or any minority) walks into a store and sees the word "Christmas" somewhere and he/she throws a fit. He/She doesn't celebrate Christmas so the store obviously shouldn't publicize Christmas. So the store owner gives in, and takes all references to Christmas down because he has to be "politically correct". Have you seen the problem yet?
None of those religions/people celebrate Christmas and that is perfectly okay. But wake up people, this is America and we celebrate Christmas! If I went to the Middle East, I would see people praying five times a day. Bells ring, chants said, and people lay prostrate on the ground. Just because I don't do all that doesn't mean I can walk in and demand they stop because "it offends me". Or if I moved to Irael, I'm not going to insist that all men remove their yarmulkes because it offends me!
I mean there are 224,437,959 Christians in the United States. That's 76.5% of the population! So why are we so worried about offending agnostics (only .5% os the US) or any other people? The minority with the highest percentage are the nonreligious group and they only make up 13% of the nation! Something is wrong when we follor the minority's decisions instead of the majority's. (statics acquired from adherents.com)
And this isn't even about differences in religion! I can think of several religions or ethnicities that people are trying not to offend and it makes me sick. They came to us, we didn't force them to move here and, by golly, they need to get over it if they are a little offended!
So here we go people, I'm about to offend 99.9% of ya'll. Have you ever wondered why it's called CHRISTmas? Well think about it for a moment. It's a Christian holiday, that's why! I know those of you liberals who actually think they know what they're talking about are yelling at me with "It came from a pagan holiday" and crud like that. You are partially right, pagan holidays decided when Christmas was celebrated but Christmas sure as heck did not come from them. Christmas is the celebration of Christ's birth. No the exact date of his birth is not known, so we picked a day to celebrate it. Yes, many people just celebrate for the commercial aspect. That still doesn't change the fact that it is a Christian holiday and that it is celebrated by 3/4 of the population.
So let me ask you this. Since when does America cater to the minority? Since when does the minority decide what's right and wrong for the rest of us? Since when does the majority cower in corners and not stand up for what they know is right? Since when has America's democracy been thrown out thw window so people don't get offended? I'm the sure the British were offended whenwe wanted independece! I'm sure the confederates were offended when the Union won the Civil War! I'm even sure Hitler was offended when he lost World War 2! So why are we worried about offending people now, all of a sudden?
I think the whole this is ridiculous. And I don't care how politically incorrect it is.......MERRY CHRISTMAS!"
Yes, very long, but it has a point don't you think? Hope you liked just as much as I did!

"I hope you regret what you did...."
"Broken home" by Papa Roach
Me: *sucking on a candy cane* ^^
Kuwabara: Hey, where'd you get that candy cane?
Me: My frie' (my friend). She 'ot me a handy han ram from shool. (she got me a candy cane gram from school)
Kuwabara: Lucky!
Me: yep!
Yusuke: why don't you go get us some candy canes?
Me: Go buy your own dangit!
Yusuke: But I don't have any money! *pulls pockets out to show that they're empty*
Me: So?
Hiei: *steals candy cane*
Me: HEY! Gimme that back! *goes chasing after Hiei for her candy cane*
I havne't done something like that in awhile, so I decided to for the heck of it. ^~ Anyways.....I'm up to my eyeballs in reviews since it's finals week. >< Grrrr....I hate finals. I hate tests for that matter! Oh well, I'll have 2 weeks of vacation! Woot woot! Christmas shall be here soon!
I got to see Narnia! Reminds me too much like Lord of the Rings though. I know that the authors were friends and read each other's books, but please, that fighting scene was waaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy too much like it. Other wise it was really cool. I like it since I completly forgot what was in the book. I'm re-reading the series, though I don't think I'll get far since I'm just in the first book (The Magicians Nephew) and I'm bored of it already. XP Blah.
I'm passing out christmas/hannakuh gifts to my friends today and tomorrow. You know what's different about it? I made the bags they come in. Oh yeah, Yami knows how to sew! Ok, not a big accomplishment, but it'll come in handy one day for sure. ^~ But yeah, I each of the presents in these small red sheer bags that have gold/silver fancy star desings on them and I put gold, red, and green foil confettii stuff in it so you can't see the present. ^~ Pretty nifty, no? Oh, and I shall be making cards for all of you, so be on the look out for one! ^^

"In the meadow we can build a snow man...."
"Walking in a winter wonderland" You should all know that one! ^^
Ok, the only reason why I put that song up there is 'cause it actually feels like winter finally!!!! And guess what? It's sleeting!!! Yeah I know, I'm getting excited over frozen rain, buuuuuuutttttt that means it could possibly snow and I might not have school tomorrow! ^^ BRING IT ON!!!!!
For those of you who care, I did great at the concert last night. I was really nervous since the flute choir went up 2nd and we had to stand infront of the audieance while we played. I was so nervous, it's not even funny! But I got to play alto flute, so I'm happy! All the bands played music I reconized, except for one piece the wind ensamble did...they did a Hannakah (sp?) song and I know absolutly NO songs from that. >< But all the songs I DID recgonize, I sang along to. ^^ Symphonic band did a Charlie Brown Christmas!!! Who can't help but sing to that?!?! ^_~
Hiei:*comes in with sleet all over him*
Yami:*stifles a laugh* Been outside lately Hiei?
Hiei: Hn. *shakes his head, throwing bits of ice everywhere*
Yami: Hey! Don't get ice all over the place ya baka! *wipes bits of ice off of her hoodie before throwing a moose slipper at him* (that's right, I have moose slippers! The moose are on the loose!)
Hiei: *catches slipper* What was that for?
Yami: Why else ya baka? *throws the other*
Hiei: *throws them back* Hn, how very mature of you.
Yami: Who said anything about being mature? PILLOW FIGHT!!!!
*pillow fight insues*

"And all the things you never ever told me...."
"Ghost of you" by My Chemical Romance
Hey ya'll! I'm back! Sorry for being gone so long, I was out town for a few days and then our internet wasn't working for awhile in the whole town that I live in and yeah, it's been crazy. I'm glad I finally got some comments! Sheesh, lazy wads! Lol, kidding kidding.
On tuesday I'm having a winter concert. I'm so friggen happy 'cause the songs we decided to play in the concert for flute choir I get to play alto flute in one song! ^^ Woot woot!....I'm watching my cat Petey walk all over the desk we have the computer on,, and it's funny 'cause he's just walking over anything. I think he's bored 'cause we won't let them out since it's really outside finally. ^~ Yeah, I'm being a little sidetracked today.
What do ya'll think of my new theme? It's winter themed and the picture in the background is of Sakura from Tsubasa/Card Captor Sakura. The picture is from Tsubasa, but they're the same characters. ^~ If ya'll haven't noticed, I tend to change my theme to go with the season mostly instead of the holidays. I guess I just like to go by season instead of by holidays, I dunno. Well, this was a bit of a pointless post, got nothing really to say....oh well....

Myth to legend to reality~~Part 33
Yami unsheathed her katana and readied it. Seeing two of her friends just go at it, she spotted her target: Kuwabara. She rushed at him, and was delighted to see a look of utter shock on Kuwabara's face as she came near him, nearly too fast for him to notice her even move. Kuwabara moved at the last second, but was too slow. When the sword came down, it bit into his collarbone by his left shoulder. "Ow! Why you little...!"
"Little what? Can't stand being hurt by a girl?" Yami mocked.
"I-I dont's fight girls." He said, putting a hand to his wound, wincing at it's sensitivity.
"Oh, drop the stupid honor code, baka, idiot." She said, attacking once again, though going for his stomach. He dodged again, but called upon his Spirit Sword. When she went to attack again, he counter-attacked, making their swords clash. They struggled, pushing against the other, seeing if the other would either make a fatal slip or break the 'pushing game' and slice the other. Or possibly a stalemate.
"I don't fight girls, and I'm not gonna start now." Kuwabara said, struggling to keep from slipping since he was only using one hand.
"Hmph. If you say so. But I do remember hearing you fought one of my friends, right?" He grumbled something inaudible and seemed to swallow his oride and honor-code and pushed against Yami's sword harder, fighting for real. "Now we're getting somewhere!" Yami said, giving a half toothy grin, showing her overly long canine teeth.
"I'm gonna slice that grin off your face!" Kuwabara said slowly, making sure every word came and broke the 'pushing game'.
"Is that so? Only if you can reach it!" Without warning, Yami managed to kick him un the gut, making him fly a few feet away. Kuwabara got up, his beady black eyes glaring at the shorter cat demon. He rushed at her, clearly forgetting everything he said about honor earlyer.
They fought for might've been a few minutes before Kuwabara was on the ground bleeding, bruised, scratched, and a with a sword hovering over his jugular vein. Yami smirked, knowing full well that the detectives friend was much too tired to get up. His heavy breathing and wounds would tell anybody, but she knew.
Sheathing her sword, Yami simply let him lay there. "You may have lost, but I'll be damned if I ever had to kill such a useless human such as yourself." She said over her should before going to check on her friends.

Well, what do you think? I just finished writing it too, since I have a habit of writing this on paper first. ^~ Hey, at least I was able to write more, no?
I got to see Harry Potter and the Goblet of fire Saturday, it was so awesome!!!!! And guess what? I'm gonna see it on IMAX in a month or so! ^_^ I hear it's much better on the IMAX, and since I haven't been there in....who knows how long, I can't wait! If any of ya'll have seen and want to talk about it, just PM me since I don't wish to ruin it for anyone who hasn't seen it. ^_~
Hey, how come ya'll haven't been commenting on my site? I mean, I see that people are coming to my site, but yet I have 0 comments for the past 2 posts or so. There's something wrong there, and I'm thinking it's....you! *points at you* You're guilty until proven innocent! So please, do me a favor, and comment, I like to know what ya'll are thinking.
Shnugens,
Yami
P.s: I'm gonna dissapear for awhile since I'm going out of town for Thanksgiving from Thursday till about Saturday or so (having no school for a week rocks!), so don't be surprised if I don't come by till later.

"It feels like you would let yourself work it out..."
"DARE" by Gorillaz, I'm listening to this song right now! ^^
I'm so friggen happy right now! Why you ask? We just had our first Flute Choir meeting in band today. I got to try and play the alto flute! It's so long though! When I started playing it, my hands would tingle because my arms were so stretched out that blood couldn't get to my fingers. Then the lady that came to help teach us, and lend her instruments to us, took the head joint and gave me one that was turned so that it was shorter. It was still so cool! When they let us know who plays what, I hope they say I play alto. ^^ The lady brought a bass flute, alto flute, her own flute, and an E-flat flute. The last one is so small and light, it's like a toy! We have another meeting Friday, so hopefully I'll get assigned to play the alto flute. When I was done playing it and picked my flute, it felt so weird! ^.~ But yes, it was very fun, and I can't wait to do it again! ^^
Next week is my Thanksgiving break. Thank god, a week away from my algebra teacher! Yes, I hate her. I hate her with a fiery passion! (inside joke) Well, she's not that bad when all the trouble makers are gone, like I learned today, but I still hate her. Well, I hate math anyways. ^~

"We're off to never-never land...."
"Enter Sandman" by Metallica. My favorite Metallica song! ^^
Yesterday I got to go see "Chicken Little". It's such a cute movie!!! It was also hilarious, with Runt's singing and all. ^^ And then with Chicken singing "We are the champions" was hilarious! And fish, c'mon, who doesn't like to randomly dance out of nowhere? ^^
Also, I got to print out some anime sheet music yesterday! I'm so friggen happy!!! I got about 3 songs from Rurouni Kenshin, and 1 song from Fullmetal Alchemist. Though that one from FMA is 5 pages long. >< It's all written for piano (which I don't play) so I can only play the treble clef bit (if you don't understand what I'm saying, that's a-ok), but it's better than nothing! Now I'm glad piano and flute are basically in the same key. ^~
School is kinda boring now since marching band is over. Now you can really tell how bad the band I'm in is. I just happened to be in concert band, and we murder every stinkin' piece of music we play! It's not even funny! Since our winter/christmas concert is coming up soon (we're not really supposed to say it's a christmas concert since not everybody does christmas and all), we play christmas/winter music, you know, stuff that goes with the holidays. My god, at first it didn't even really sound like the songs we were playing since it seems no one can listen to each other and they can't get their noses out of the stands to watch our director! Can I please get booted up to Symphonic band?
Ya'll be on the look-out for a new bit of my story, I'm probably gonna be posting it soon.

"There's so much left to learn, and no one left to fight...."
"Broken" by Seether featuring Amy Lee
Guess what? I got my braces off!!!!!! ^_^ Yes, I finally got them off, and...it feels weird. >< Hey, when you've had them for so long, it feels weird to get them off. But now I can FINALLY eat whatever the heck I want without having to worry if I'll brake a bracet or something. ^.~ *stuffs a laffy taffy in her mouth* ^^
Hiei: Where did you get that?
Me: My Halloween stash
Hiei: You mean you went and trick-or-treated?
Me: No, I went to every house giving out candy and stole it from them. Duh! What do you think?
Hiei: Hn, then what did you go as?
Me: An enchantress. ^^
Hiei: Hn.
Me: Here, have a snickers bar and shut up. *tosses Hiei a snickers bar*
Hiei: Hn.
Anyways, football season is now over for my school, which now means no more marching band till next year. *sniff* Farethewell marching band! Lol, kidding kidding. But yes, it's done, and I can now officially say this since our football team is really bad: what's the football team doing on OUR field? Yeah, they really stink. They're overall wins and losses: 3-7, 3 wins, 7 losses. See what I mean?
I've been sick lately with a stupid cold. I still feel awefull, but not as bad. I almost didn't march at our last game 'cause I was dizzy and felt absolutly horrible, but I marched anyways. Hey, if there's a flute person on the video from that game that can't seem to dress the line, that was me. -_-
Shnugens,
Yami
