"I've seen a million faces, and I've rocked them all...."
"Wanted" by Bon Jovie, tis my favorite song done by them ^^

Well, I'm finally back from NYC. Let me tell ya, I'm never going back there again! My god, it was a really jam-packed 4 days. Here's what we did:
*Got to see a broadway play called Wicked. It's the prequal to the Wizard of Oz, and it's a book if ya wish to check it out, I know I will more than likely. ^~
*Got to go to the Statue of Liberty, not all that great.
*Went to Ellis Island. Pretty cool, learned a family member of mine came from there and only got through 'cause she was pregnent. (unescorted woman and children were not allowed in)
*Got to go to China town. Got a dragon statue that's a deep red color and pretty heavy and got it for $6, and it was probably worth at least $50. Also got souviners for my friends. ^^
*Went to 5th Avenue. Only thing I bought there was rock candy from F.A.O. Schwartz 'cause it's hard to find around here. Watched a couple of guys dance on this giant piano keyboard (like from the movie "Big") which was pretty cool. Also got to go through Trump Tower. The man has got waaaaaaayyyyy too much money. Got to see the inside of the Plaza Hotel (Eloise at the Plaza and Home alone are a few movies that have to do with it). Learned that about 75% or so is gonna be turned into residences (apartments), really sad since it's such a magnificent hotel. Went on a carrige ride around the south side of Central Park, very nice.
*Went through Strawberry Fields at Central Park. If ya don't know, it's named after a beatles song. Saw the imfamous fountain from Friends.
*Got to see St.Patricks Cathdral. It felt very sacreligious and odd for being a tourist stop. I mean, I'm not a very good Catholic, but man, that place can turn ya into one. It was breath taking, it was so beautiful and magnificent. Also saw a few other churchs, not as impressive though.
*Saw ground zero. It's kind of amazing to know that the church right across the street from it wasn't harmed by it ('cause it's so old) and that only a tree was knocked down, everything else was fine. What's creepy 'bout it is that there was a head stone there that clearly read that the person died on Sept.11; and most of the head stones were un-readable. So that was creepy.
*Went to Times Square. Got a picture of the whole group (all 48 of us ><) and such.
*Went to Grenadge (sp?) village which is over by NYU. Got a guitar necklace and black fishnet bloves that only cover my hands that are really cool. ^^ Nothing opens till 11 in the morning there, which is weird.
*Went on a dinner cruise, very fun. I was forced to dance (I don't really care for dancing, but I'll do it if I must or wanna) but that was kinda fun. There was a high school there as well, don't know if it was one that's near us though. *shrugs* There was a group from Idaho there, they were kinda mean though, saying that Texas sucks and such. But they came up with the lamest insult I've ever heard. Here it is: Why is Oklahoma so windy? 'Cause Texas sucks. *rolls eyes* so very, very lame.
And that's 'bout it I think. Might've left off a few things, but oh well. Got back Monday night. Now I'm just relaxing, or as Jen says chillaxing. I think I lost like 5 lbs just from walking so much. >< And I've learned that heat and sitting down are a luxory. My god it was freezing there!!!! Add the wind chill in, it was cold, very very cold. And I've learned what honking in NYC means: 1 means "pardon" me; 2 means move; 3 means move or I run you over. ^~ Our bus driver was very.....scary sometimes. There's a tunnel that goes underneath the Hudson River we had to go through every day and night (our hotel was in New Jersey) and the first night, he went like, 80 mph!!!!! It was scary!!!!

In other news: there's an all anime store that opened finally that's nearby. ^^ Already rented out 3 anime shows: vol.1 of Fruits Basket, vol.1 of Hellsing, and vol.1 of Real Bout High School. ^^ They have loads more, plus pocky, anime CDs, HUGE posters, book bags (most say Hellsing), hats, and plushie dolls. (I saw a Vash one, it was sooooo cute!!!!! ^^) Got vol.5 of Cresent Moon, still need vol.2. >< Probably gettin' that one over the internet. Got a Newtype magazine that has an article on Full Metal Alchemist plus a dvd that has a few episodes of different animes on it. (like Kalaido stage season 2; Watanabe season 1 and such) Now I want this manga called Chrono Crusade. It seems really cool. ^^
So long suckas!!!
