Lucy I'm home!!!!
Hey ya'll!!! I'm baaa-aack!!! Did ya miss me? Probably not since I was only gone for 4 days, not counting monday since I was here, just didn't feel like posting anything. Anyways, South Padre was friggen awesome!!! Let me tell ya'll all about it.
Thursday: about a 10 hour drive from where I live to South Padre Island. Not fun. Watched about 3-4 movies, 2 of which were musicals. >< Went to a local seafood resteraunt. Got to try crab. Mmmmmmmm.....
Friday: We were going to go to Schiltterbahn, but apparently they close on Fridays, so we ended up going to the beach. Got kicked off the beack due to it being a red flag day (high winds, strong current) and the current was bringing in the jelly fish. Luckily no one got stung. At some points I could hardly stand because the current was so strong. That, added with me probably being one of the shortest people on the trip added up to it probably. >< I HATE being short. Anyways....went on a dolphin watch. I saw 9 dolphins! 2 of them follwed our boat and got really close, maybe 5-6 feet away at the closest. Went to a hypnotize dinner thing. One of my roomates ended up being hypnotized. It was so funny! She was dancing, acting like a fighter pilot (her nickname was lightening bolt. Any possiblity she came up with that from our mascot? Maybe....), hula dancing, "driving" a car, acting like it was really cold and clinging on to this guy that was sitting next to her, and then acting like someone smelled badly (at first it was supposed to be the person next to them, then they realize it's them), and then had a dancing contest to which my roomates group won. *laughs* She didn't remember a thing afterwards, but she kept saying after we told what happened and she watched the taped video: "How could you let me dance in front of all those people?!" (there were at least 6 other schools there) Lol, we had no control over it chick, sorry.
Saturday: Contest at 10-ish in the morning. Find out that both Symphonic/concert band (we were combined since we had such a small group) and Wind Ensamble got 2's. Not bad really. Some of the flutes wanted to shoot themselves 'cause they though they did badly. Ch, compared to what we've done in Concert band, we rocked damnit! But whatever. I fell asleep during the Wind Ensambles purformance since I was tired and they were playing long prettyful music that just lulls you to sleep. Had a nice little cat nap there. ^~ Went to Schlitterbahn afterwards for 5 hours. Got a nice tan if I do say so myself. ^~ What's sad is we had to wear those stupid bracelets you get at water parks so they know you're a paying customer and I got a tan line from that. You can see how white I was before I got the tan. ><'''''' Also got awards at Schlitterbahn afterwards. Eh, that was actually quite boring. The girls all wanted to go dancing, so they left their purses with the chaperones. Bad idea. They dug through the purses and took out the cameras/camera phones and took random pictures. You can't trust the band parents at my school apparently. Lol. =^^= Wonder if anyone had noticed yet...
Sunday: Another 10 hour drive back. More movies and boringness. I am NOT watching a movie for at least a month. >< I'm sick and tired of movies, especially musicals.
Well, that's pretty much all that happened. Of course, I bought souveniers for my friends. ^~ Got March-a-thon this saturday. Fun fun. Actually, they really are fun, it's just tedious to walk around alot and attempt to play music along with the 8th graders. Beleive me, I was an 8th grader last year, it was tedious. And this coming Friday is the percussion concert. That's gonna rock!!! I saw the one last year and was really impressed, so I can't wait to see this years. ^~ Next friday is the Spring Concert. All I know for sure of what we're playing is Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. ^~ *jumps up and down* The inner Star Wars geek in me is exstatic. As the other one....no clue. We have a little more than a week, and we only have 1 piece to do. >< And I'm going to kill the trumpets and clarinets for it too. (don't worry Liana, I like trumpets, it's just ours absolutly SUCK!) The clarinets are killing a few parts of Star Wars while the trumpets can't seem to get the Darth Vador theme down. >< And we played that during marching season in the stands too!!!!! *hits head against keyboard* Can I kill them? Please?!?!?!?! At least beat them to a bloody pulp? *groan*
Shnugens
Awwww!!!!! It's so kawaii!!! Feel the cavities developing in your teeth because of the cuteness!!
