Prologue: myth to legend
Many speak of myths that have been passed down from generation to genertaion. These myths, they claim, were true at one point in time. The stories elders tell have hero's or someone specail that always saved the day. Well, that was how the myths in Ningenkai (human world) were. In Nigenkai, Rekai (spirit world) is just a make believe place, or it is also known as heaven. But Makai (demon world) is a totally different place. Here, demons roam, and murders, thieving, and blood shed are apart of everyday life. Sometimes, parents and elders would tell of myths as well. But these had morals, and sometimes, later in life, would help the child when in need. But there was one myth that came true, and soon developed into a legend.
This legend tells of a fox spirit who thieved. He had wonderous amber eyes that showed how long he was experienced in thieveing. His long, waist length silver hair never seemed to end. He had silver fox ears that sat ontop of his head. He always seemed to wear a silver/white fighting kimono, it seemed to be easier to move around in. He was widely known as the King of Thieves. And his names sends shivers down the spine, and sometimes makes girls swoon. His name was Yoko Kurama, Yoko for short. He traveled with a bat demon named Kuronue. Together, they managed to get a high level on the charts of being famous. Abd of course, when there's the best, there's always a runner up.
But this runner up was different. It was a woman, she was also a hanyou, half breed if you will. Many had seen her, but few can recall exactly what she looks like for few ever live to recall the exact details. The most accurate account of her has only blunt details. Long, mid-back jet black hair with ends that seemed to have been dipped in blood cascades down her back. Cat ears and tail look that same as the hair. Her crimson red eyes were always cold, emotionless, and cold hearted, or so they say. She always carried a katana with her, that was her only evident weapon. Her species is relativly unknown, except that she's at least part cat demon.
Some say she's an assain, out to get any one in her way. Others say she kills for fun. Each way, she kills, and this is where the story starts, about this mysterious woman hanyou....
