   WHAT THE........IS THAT MY.........???????
well, I just happened to be surfing the otaku enjoying everyones art work when all of a sudden, a particular one got my attention. It was a pic by a fellow otaku member (I would shout her name out, but in the case that I'm wrong I don't want anybody getting flamed unless they deserve it). She made a character with the exact same pose as my colored Tiki pic! As a matter of fact, it looks as though it was drawn right on top of my character.
Either that or the artist is really, REALLY good at duplicating my lines. Quite honestly, I don't know what to think! Should I be mad or is this really no big deal? I kinda wish I would have been asked permission if this was ok! Is it normal on this site to take someone elses art work and then draw over it with their own, which I STRONGLY feel just happened? Isn't this plagerism or am I overreacting here? please, someone post me and tell me if I'm wrong or whether I have a ligitmate beef here. Has anyone ELSE been in this situation on this site, cause I sure haven't!!!

   Wow, I'm back!
Man has It been a loong time since I'v been to the Otaku. Alot has happened since then, much of it not so good I'm afraid. But I won't comment here since this is the Otaku, not Sobstories.com (Hee-hee!). What I can say is that my computer was busted and I couldn't afford a real good one until recently. Meanwhile, the Koji stories that I wanted to make a manga turned out to be far to big and complex. Especially for someone whose never done one before. Of course, that does NOT mean it wont be done. In the meantime, Ray and I have come up with a simpler less complex idea for a manga story thats more fun, silly and VIOLENT. Plus it will help me practice how to panel and pace the action. I've already done 6 practice pages and in the middle of inking the last 3 as of this post. And to all my fellow artists out there asking for me, I'm sorry about my being gone. I'm hoping to stick around for a long time barring another catastrophe, of course ;)

   Wow!!!
I can't believe the response I'm getting with my Link pic. I'm stoked!!! I mean, I really feel better about coloring.
Colors have always been my weakness (which is why so few of my pics are colored) and I am much more comfortable working with mechanical pencils. I hesitate alot when I'm about to color because I keep thinking I'm gonna mess it up. I was completely surprised that the Link pic came out so well, but I feel like I still have alot to learn. I can't say specifically what kind of advice I'm looking for, but if anybody has any kind of advice or tips on coloring that you think might help me improve, I would so, SO much appreciate it!!! Thanx;Dd

   Photo Shop
I was asked by chex, I believe, if I use the CPU to color or enhance my art. I tried, but I really don't like it. I guess I'm too old-school for such things, or I can't use PS for squat!!! Don't get me wrong about PS & PS users, talent is talent, art is art, traditional or digital, and I enjoy seeing all types, but I appreciate old-school non-PS work just a little more. But then again, I have trouble navigating my own site!!! Imagine what I look like with PS!!! EEK!!!
