A weekend at Dave's.
I have this friend, who's nickname is Dave. His real name is Steven. We gave him this name because of a character in a comedy called "Only Fools and Horses". There is a character called Rodney, and everyone calls him Rodney except for this one man, named Trigger. Trigger calls him Dave, even though Rodney keeps telling him he's not called Dave. Anyway, because Steven is a tad slow, like Trigger, we gave him the name Dave. Many of you may be asking, "Why didn't you call him Trigger?" Well... Dave is just easier to say.

Anyway, his parents were gone for the weekend, so on Friday a few of us slept up there, and we went up again on Saturday night. Dave is just one of those guys that is just funny. He doesn't try to be... he tells no jokes, he's never sarcastic, but he just reacts to situations in his own way, and to everyone watching it's just comical. So I spent much of the night laughing at him, having a drink, and watching the TV. Ar one point on the Friday, a rugby match game on between the Celtic Warriors (my team) and the Llanelli Scarlets (my mortal enemies). A rugby game lasts 80 minutes, and for 75 of those, the Warriors were in the lead. Then, with a minute remaining, the Scarlets had a score that put them two points ahead of us. Now, like in football, a field goal will give you 3 points... but unlike football, there is no position specifically for a kicker. One of the 15 starting positions had to take on that responsibility in rugby. So, with 30 seconds left, I found myself watching my favorite player (Ceri Sweeney) lining up a penalty, which, if it got between the uprights, would put us one point ahead. This is what sport is all about. I saw him look up at the posts, take his run up, kick it, and watched in awe as it sailed straight down the middle of the uprights. The Warriors won by a point, and I couldn't have been happier.

Saturday went much the same, and now it's Sunday at 15:40. Already today i have been out to play soccer wuth my friends, and now I am posting on here before going to post on Boba's new RPG.
