i felt like putting some more of my story from last post on and I thought what the hell so here it is ^^ enjoy… or don’t ^^;
As they walked home Sheena examined the fake stone the masked man had given them.
“This thing doesn’t look any thing like the one in the picture,” Sheena said looking very disappointed “It looks like he made it himself.”
“Really, it looks great to me,” Ed remarked taking the stone from Sheena “What do you think?” he said tossing it to Denise.
“Looks fine,” Denise said while tapping it lightly.
“No it’s not,” Sheena interrupted angrily “it’s too light, shinny and there aren’t any white lines in the middle like in the picture.”
“Only an expert would notice some thing like that,” Denise scolded “it doesn’t have to be perfect, does it?”
“What’s wrong with that,” Sheena fumed “there will be experts at the museum, won’t there?”
“It’ll have to look close to the real thing from an experts view,” Ed announced “Sheena can make one that looks better to her, so later we’ll go see the real thing, okay?”
“yeah.” Both girls said in unison.
They walked home disusing were and when to meet at the museum. They thought it would be less noticeable to go in a group than to have Sheena walking around the museum like she was lost. They also thought it would give them a better feel of the area. As they got near their building they began to talk less and walked into their apartment in silent.
“Two thousand dollars each is a lot of money,” Sheena said hopping over the couch grinning like the chestier cat. “That’s six thousand dollars. You know what I could buy with six thousand dollars?”
“We won’t have to take a job for a long time.” Denise muttered dreamy eyed.
“We won’t get the money if we don’t do the job,” Ed said coming out of the kitchen with a large sub sandwich “We still need a plan.”
“Right, Denise we need to see the maps of the museum.” Sheena motioned for her to bring them to her.
“Okay I have the blue prints and a map of the locations of the exhibits,” Denise propped her head up with her hands on the table “maybe if we should come in from the roof so I can turn the cameras off first.”
“There are alarms on all side of the building, every door and the roof,” Ed said “the one on the roof will only shut off the camera to that one window, won’t it?”
“I did some research on the type of alarm system the museum has,” Denise pulled out her laptop “Look, the alarms are connected to an alarm at the police station which is connected to a computer and alarm’s sound has to go through the computer’s speakers. So, if you hack directly into the system, from any switch you can turn off all the museum’s computer, lights, cameras, elevators, even out lets and the alarm function on the computer.
“But won’t the guards notice if we do some thing that big?” Sheena asked looking puzzled.
“No, they’ll think the power went out,” Ed grinned “then they’ll have to go all the way to the basement to turn the power back on.”
“Yeah, but what happens when they find out the power hasn’t gone out?” Sheena began unwrapping a chocolate bar.
“The power will go out,” Denise said smirking “I’ll turn the cameras and clocks off at the same time. Then I’ll turn all the lights on at once and since ever thing from the alarm system to the water fountains are connected I will have compete control over the entire building.
“So now all we need to do is find out were and when the guards go on their rounds and how many guards there are there at the same time,” Sheena said while nodding “today is Monday so we have-”
“A week,” Ed cut her off “in the next three days we need to know the museum inside and out. 8:00 tomorrow morning every one needs to be at the museum.”
“ I’m going to get more film for the camera,” Ed stood up.
“Why,” Sheena questioned “I can remember every detail of the necklace and all the halls.”
“It’s for us,” Denise scolded “We don’t have photographic memory like you.”
