"How many 'n''s are there in 'Funk'?" -Gaara of the Funk; Naruto: The Abridged Series General Information

When I chose the Quote of the Week (oh yeah, I changed the name since I am posting by the week) it made me thing of Full Metal Alchemist and the seven deadly sins. You know, Homer could so totally be Gluttony. *ping* Fan art idea right there! Excellent…
Just so you know, Wednesday’s rant is King Kong Kameha-meha long so, if you don’t want to read all those words then please feel free to skim or skip it. Oh, and don't forget to read my post for this week which is the post before this one. Just go into the archives to read it and take my poll.

Today I half prepared for spirit week, half worked on my Nekozawa cosplay. You see, I borrowed some ace bandages and a cane from my grandpa for injury day and a flannel shirt and a hat from my grandpa for country day. As for Nekozawa, I started on the cloak. However, I only have two parts cut out. But I did go buy some felt for Beelzenef. I’m planning on hand sewing him at home and working on my cloak at my grandparent’s house on the weekend. I just hope Baa-chan doesn’t try to work on my cloak without my permission. She already said she wanted to help me with it, though I forbade her. Also, my sister is now going to make a cloak for herself, the little copy cat. She bought a pattern and cloth for it at the same time I got thread for the cloak and Beelzenef. *sigh* Oh the joy’s of owning a little sister.
I finally got the next SJ magazine and bought the Zombie Powder manga at the new Borders they built right outside the mall. That place is awesome! It’s so big and has the largest collection of manga I have seen in any of the book stores that I go to. They even sell Ouran High School Host Club!! My sister was about to pass out from excitement when she started looking around. Now that there’s a Borders near my house I can use my Borders Rewards card more often and catch up on all my lost time so I can at least have something for my holiday shopping days on the card.
Oh! When our mom heard about my sister making a cloak as well she said she was curious about us and that if she finds her in her room “bowing to candles and making weird stars she would definitely send her back to the academy (Spring Valley Academy, my school). But then again, they’re obviously doing it there to” (referring to me and my friends and our cloak plan). Yeah, our mom is weird like that. Anyway, that’s all I have to say.

Today was Country Day in the line up of spirit week. So I went to school in a pair of jeans, a brown-ish blue-ish white-ish flannel shirt, a straw hat, boots, and my friend Fredrick Princeton. Who is Fredrick Princeton you ask? Why, he is Freddy the Fox Pelt and he is the fuzziest and softest thing ever. However, not everyone appreciates his softness and flee from the very sight of him. It makes him very sad when people run away. Anyways, yes, I took a dead animal to school today. There is this one girl in my class named Kylie (or however you spell her name) and she was so freaked out by him that if he even got near her she would scream. It was quite amusing actually. At the end of the day, before I got on the bus, some of the guys took her hat and put Fredrick in it. After they took him back out they placed the hat on her head and she started screaming loudly in the hall. Yeah, I’m not bringing him back to school again because she threatened to burn him at the stake. I would rather not have that happen for the mere fact that Fredrick doesn’t even belong to me. He belongs to my grandfather. And you know what? It was mostly the guys who liked him anyways. It was pretty amusing because they always wanted to see him and touch him and scare people with him. It was funny though. Oh, the joy of being in high school.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention this in yesterday’s rant but, I was surfing through the channels to see what was on television when I happened upon Cartoon Network and Pokemon. Yes, I watch Pokemon still if it’s on and there is nothing else worth watching on. Anyways, it was the new season for whatever region they are doing this time. I really don’t keep up with those kinds of things. However, when I started watching it, I was appalled and mentally screamed in anguish. They had changed the voice actors for all the characters yet again and this time, for the worse. Ash’s voice was totally destroyed, May and Brock’s voice actors sounded like they were trying to sound like the previous voice actors but they didn’t succeed, Max’s voice was awful, Meowth’s voice was destroyed, and the only two that sounded somewhat normal or even close to the previous ones were Jessie and James, but you could still totally tell they were different. It was horrible to sit through the terrible dubbing of this new season. What has Pokemon come to? I mean, I think that Team Rocket has gotten weaker and James has gotten gayer. Also, most of the time it sounds like it’s the first time they have read the lines. They have totally destroyed it! *weep* Just… just play re-runs of the first season, please. It would be much better than the torture they are feeding us now.
Speaking of Pokemon, there is a kid that rides my bus in the morning who is some sort of Pokemon otaku to the max. He plays the games on his SP, I think he has the cards, plus he will sit in the back with some of the other kids and start doing imitations of the different Pokemon; Wobbafet being his favorite. It is so annoying especially since it’s only in the morning at like 7:40. I just wish he would shut up for one minute about Pokemon! Well, that’s my rant for the day.

Today was sports day. Unfortunately I did not participate for the simple fact that I own nothing sporty. I’m not into sports at all so I don’t own a team jersey or hat or anything. So, yeah.
Today in study hall I created a myO site for my friend. Her account is IxNxUxFxAxN so go check her out if you want. However, she may not update that often so, be patient with her. But she did say that now that I made her get an Otaku site she is going to have to make me get a My Space account. If that ever happens I’ll tell you guys about it but I probably wont update it as often as I do myO account.
Last night I found out that my parents changed the visitation rights now that my dad has moved to Michigan to go to Andrews. Now, he will have us with him every second weekend of the month, meaning I will be with my dad this weekend. Therefore, this post may be late or not until Monday or later on Saturday night.
Speaking of this weekend, Sunday is my step-mom’s birthday. I don’t know how old she is going to be but all I know is that she is way older than my dad and that her birthday is one month before mine.
Speaking of birthdays and being with my dad, my friend is having her birthday party on the 28th of this month, which is a Saturday night, and I think that’s a weekend that I’ll be with my dad. Well, that’s a conundrum. I guess we’ll have to work something out. *sigh* So much stuff going on in my life.
Oh, on Monday night I made Beelzenef. Unfortunately he is a darker yellow than the original and I made his little hands too small for my fingers to fit in, but my friends and other people at school think that he is still cute. Oh well.
Rant concluded.

Time – 4:19
Today was the Fall Picnic and it was so fun but right now I am so sore from all that we did today. First off, we were put into teams and today we were obligated to wear our team color. I was on the Orange/Yellow team.
The first thing we did was the skits. They gave us a bag with some objects that you would probably see everyday. We had to use all the items in the bag to create a skit that had a spiritual meaning in it and it was pretty fun. Many of the skits were generally good considering we only had about five minutes to come up with a skit and perform it in front of everyone.
The second thing we did was the newspaper pile game. Each team was given a stack of newspapers and with that stack you were supposed to take the newspapers and crumple them up into balls and make a pile as big as you possibly can. The thing was that after five minutes, after you were given a chance to create your piles, they gave you three minutes to go around and try to steal newspaper from other team’s piles. Our team would have won because everyone agreed that we stole much more newspapers than the other team. However, since our team was probably the most vulnerable, a lot of the other teams stole from our pile. Therefore, we ended up with the smallest pile. It was pretty sad but we kept our team in high spirits.
After the newspaper game, we went out to the back soccer field to do the car pushing game thing. One member would be in the truck steering blindfolded in neutral while up to nine other members pushed the car, or rather, the truck. You had to drive through a course marked by cones and try to get the fastest time without knocking over any cones. At the end there was a larger cone that you had to touch the front of the car to without knocking it over. We got second place in that with a time of 1:40:15. We would have gotten first but the last team that went got a better time that us. But it was all good; we kept chanting our team colors.
Next was the egg toss. You should all know what that consists of. We didn’t even place I don’t think, but we came close.
Then we had a break, but after the break we did a food relay. In this relay the first person had to take three big bites out of an apple on a string without using their hands. The second person had to eat a piece of pumpkin pie with lots of whip cream on top without using their hands. The third person had to chew two pieced of what I think was double bubble gum and blow a bubble at least three inches in size. After that we had to have one person on the ground while another person was standing on a chair above them to drop pudding into their mouth with a spoon. The had to eat the whole pudding cup. Then the next person had to eat two saltine crackers and whistle. Finally, the last person had to stick their face into a bowl of flour and find the six gummy worms that where hidden in it. It was pretty funny to watch people come back from that one. The person who did it on our team ended up getting flour into his sinuses and trouble breathing through his nose for a while and was sneezing. But don’t worry; he was fine later after the flour cleared out of his nose. It was sort of funny though because we were half joking with him about him looking like he had a failed attempt at sniffing coke.
Whoa! It just started thunder storming. It’s all raining hard and thundering and everything. I hope the power doesn’t go out. But I digress.
After the food relay we had the four legged race. Yes, four not three, meaning we had to have three people tied together. It was really hard too. I participated in it and I was a center person. Let’s just say it didn’t go over too well. It wasn’t too bad though. I mean, we only fell once, but enough about that.
Next we had a cheer competition thing. Everyone was given fifteen minutes to come up with a cheer for our team. Once the time was up we would perform our cheer in front of all the other teams. Ours was the best because we were the most organized and had a clean performance. Plus we were loud and they understood what we were saying. What our team did was chant/sang our team colors to the tune of “We Will Rock You” and we stood in a line with tallest in the back and shortest in the front and went up and down depending on what our part was. Then at the end we did a chant that went “What it is.” “Number one!” “What it ain’t.” “Number two!” “What it’s gonna be.” “Better than you!” “Where it at?” “Yellow Orange!” It was really fun to do. But the team after us stole our ending chant thing and put their team color in place of “yellow orange”. What ever.
Then we finally had lunch.
After lunch we went back to the gym and played some more games. The first one was the dress a faculty member game where we would use construction paper, tape, markers, yarn, aluminum foil, safety pins, hair bands, a bed sheet, and a roll of crepe paper to come up with a creative outfit for our team’s director. It was really fun too. Ours was the Spanish teacher and we used the bed sheet as a dress thing and we gave her an Indian headdress thing made of aluminum foil and crepe paper with a princess style hat thing on top. Then we gave her shoulder spikes made of construction paper and wings of aluminum foil. We also wrapped her forearms in crepe paper and put pipe cleaners on her glasses. For the final touches we put a sign on her that had “Orange” hanging in front of her and “Yellow” on the back (or was it the other way around?) and a torch thing made of construction paper with aluminum foil in the top. It was really cool looking too. I wonder if I can get a copy of the pic they took of all the teachers. If I can I will definitely put it up here so you can see all the teachers that got “decorated”. Each of the others had awesome names though which were: Rosspunzel (white team; teacher Mr. Donovan Ross--math), The Green Machine (green team; teacher Mr. Boison--art), The Baby Smurf (blue team; teacher Mr. Schnell--freshman bible, school counselor), The “Bling” Fairy (pink/purple team; teacher Pastor Elliot—bible teacher, school Chaplin), Toga Man (black team; teacher Mr. Trevor Ross--science ), Some sort of demon thing(red team; Mr. Abbott—practical technology teacher, history teacher), and The Grey something(grey team; Mrs. Holey—home ec teacher). You should have seen them all. Oh well.
Next was the hula hoop pass game where each team got in a circle and passed the hula hoop around the circle and we had to go through the hoop while keeping our hands connected. It was fun too though we got second place in that race.
After that one we had a people scramble which is a game where in the center of the gym is our group sponsor and on the side facing them was the group. When a certain item or action was called for the first person or group of people to reach their sponsor with that item or doing that action would receive a point. It was pretty interesting to see some of the things that were called out e.g., a five person chorus line, white socks, a barefoot person, sunglasses, and a textbook of which the latter two no one had. It was still fun though.
Then we had a scooter race. Originally it was supposed to be a scooter and plunger race where you could only use the plunger to move the scooter across the gym but two of the plungers broke and it was going way too slowly. In the end they made it so that you only had to have your butt on the scooter at all times. In the finals I ended up running over my thumb but all’s well that ends well.
Next was a game called over and under. The way this game went was that you would have a line of ten people per team and the first person in the line would either pass it to the person behind them over their head or under their legs. The person receiving the ball would do the opposite of what the person in front of them and the ball would go down the line in this manner. When it reached the last person they would have to crawl under the legs of everyone else in front of them until they reached the front where they would become the first person in line. This would go on and on until the person who was originally first in line was first again. It was fun but some of the people on our team got hurt. One girl got floor burn on her knee really bad and one guy’s knees and arms where really red. I bruised both of my knees from crawling as well.
Our final event was the tug of war where two teams faced off at a time. After that my hands where so sore that it hurt to bend them out of the curled position they had been in from pulling on the rope. We won fourth place in that event but could have done better had we known that for two of the times we were at the rope one of our members was missing. So two of the times we had done it with only nine members instead of the required ten. He thought that we didn’t have to go anymore after we had gone and went to get a drink. Oh well, it’s all over now so it doesn’t matter.
When all the events were over they calculated the scores that had been accumulated throughout the entire day and Pink/Purple won first place and a trip to Taco Bell. But that’s okay because our team, Yellow/Orange, came in second place and won the trip to Dairy Queen so I’m fine with it.
Well, I’m still a little sore and don’t have that much to say after all that I already have so, rant concluded.

Time – 4:30
Today was injury day. I had two bandages forming an “x” on my right cheek and an ace bandage wrapped around my head and over my left eye which, coincidently, made me look like a very injured Kakashi-sensei or so my friends say. I also had a very large medical bandage on my left leg but you couldn’t see it very well because my skirt covered it up. On top of that I was walking around with a cane. It was quite interesting because when I got on the bus this morning one kid thought that I had gotten into a fight. Then when I transferred over to my other bus some other kid thought that I had poked my eye out. I had to explain to both of them that it was spirit week at my school and today was injury day. It was still really interesting how they thought I was actually injured. When I got to school some kids had really gotten into it and had makeup on that made them look bruised and bloody. Plus some where walking around on crutches or had slings and wrist protector things for when you sprain your wrist. One guy even came in with a neck brace! Over all, it was a pretty good day.
Unfortunately there was still a not so good side to today. My legs where so sore from yesterday that it was painful to sit down and get up and even walk sometimes. Also since I had the ace bandage over one of my eyes it was hard to see and read and eat. I figured out that I had covered my good eye. The optometrist said that I had almost perfect vision in one eye but was going near sighted in the other eye, which I found to be true today. There was no way that I could read things that where a distance away from me. I was in keyboarding class and tried to read something on the other side of the room but could not. It was blurry and I had to squint to barely make anything out. And when I was eating at lunch, my distance perception was off so I was leaning over my food so that I wouldn’t drop anything or miss my mouth. I even swerved my spoon once when trying to bring it to my mouth. Today was pretty interesting for me considering my “injury”.
It was really cold today! As it gets later and later into fall the weather gets colder and colder. This morning I was running later than I normally do and rushed out the house without a coat. I ended up waiting for my bus for five minutes out in the freezing cold. Then today at school, I heard from some students that had been out on the back field for PE or something that it had snowed! I am defiantly going to have to wear a nice warm coat and gloves from now on.

Right now I am on the road on my way to Michigan with my dad. We’re supposed to get there around 10:30 so this is going to be a long road trip, though not as long as it would be to get to Florida.
Anyways, today was pajama day at school as an end to our spirit week. Since it was really cold in the morning I decided to change once I got to school. When I did change I was wearing my blue Joe Boxer pj pants that have moons all over them and a blue pj shirt that had stars and moons all over it that glows in the dark. I also wore my fuzzy blue house socks and a pair of fuzzy blue slippers. Since it was wacky hair day as well I changed my hair four times throughout the entire school day. It was really fun to see everyone in their pajamas and with funny looking hair. Uh… I don’t quite remember most of the school day but then again we were only walking around in our pajamas.
After school my mother, my sister and I went to Bath & Bodyworks and bought some new smell good stuff. I got Japanese Cherry Blossom body spray and Vanilla shower gel. However my mom and sister don’t know why I got that combination of smells because they don’t like the way my shower gel smells but I like it anyways.
By the time you read this post I think it will be Saturday night so, have a good night or day or whenever you read this.
Rant concluded.
