TGIF

Introduction

If you haven't noticed yet, I'm Zakuro Rose. You may call me Zakuro, Rose or ZR for short. I'm a girl with a hint of tomboyish-ness and is a bit eccentric.

I usually write about the two main characters from a light novel I am making that I hope will be published and turned into an anime someday. TGIF! Two Guinea pigs In a Fight! Hehe. I think a while back I made it Two Giraffes In a Flood.

Anyways, nothing much to say. For Talk Like a Pirate Day my acting class dressed up as pirates and had to talk like pirates while playing Stage Ball. Stage Ball is an original game that's kind of like skeeball on a very large but simplified scale with a lot of weird rules. You have two teams and they try to distract the other team while someone from the other team tries to roll a ball into the other's goal. A weird rule is that if your ball somehow comes back to your own goal by rebound or something and goes into your own goal, the other team gets double points, AKA the Stupid Rule (that's what its name is).

Umm, and Wednesday a group for the Invisible Children came from California to talk about helping kids in Africa. Basically, kids from 5-12 are abducted and brainwashed and forced to do military work for the Rebels that are trying to overthrow the government. It's true. a couple of years ago, these college kids went on a trip to Africa practically unguided to find a good story. The came across kids who escaped from the rebels after being abducted. It's really sad because those kids couldn't cry for fear of being killed for it.

Umm... I got nothing else. So I guess I'llanswer last post's questions.

1. Have you ever had an experience like on mentioned in the first paragraph? If you do, share. We're all *cough*messed up*cough* friends here.
Answer: Well, I guessed I already talked about it. Thanks, everyone, for sharing your stories. I don't feel as bad now. (By the way, tiggerola, I remember that. Weird...)

Answer: Umm...I type anything twice.^_^

What's up? I just had this odd experience. Have you ever picked up a random book or something and started reading it? Then, you come across an unfamiliar word, but it is critical to know the word to understand the sentence? So you go to ask a friend or someone to find the meaning of the word, but it turns out to be practically a taboo word? That happened to me at the bookstore. I asked my friend what's a word meant, and then she told me to shush because it apparently was this really, uh, sexual word. I don't remember what the word was or it's meaning, but I was really embarrassed because my normal voice level is kinda loud because of 4 years of acting. Oh, well. What's done is done, right?

Anyways, I finally learned how to do Alphabetic Keyboarding. Before, I was just a really fast fingertyper. The weird thing is, I used 3 fingers on each hand to fingertype.

And I'm kinda disappointed. My Chemical Romance is on a recording hiatus. They'll start recording in 2009 at the earliest. It's because Gerard just got married, Mikey is recovering from bipolarness, and everyone else is homesick. Oh well.

Oh, but I uploaded and bought Gunslinger Girl Volume 5. Pino dies a bloody death...sorta. He almost one but Triela has to be stubborn and uses the rest of her consciousness (weird wording) to stab him with her FINGERS?! My friend was teasing me because he lost to a girl.I told her for a normal guy vs. a cyborg enhanced girl, he did pretty good making practically a tie.

By the way, a couple of days ago my computer broke and wouldn't turn on. We got a new part, but it still wouldn't work. That means that probably the motherboard is down, and we probably have to get a whole CPU.

Also,Mrs.Hyuga, I love both the songs on those AMVs you posted ("Phenomenon" and "Shut Up"). I'm listening to them right now.

Okay, well, I guess It's time to answer my previous questions:

1. What do you guys think of Linkin Park? (PS. Me LOVES Chester Bennington ^_^)
Answer: As I said, I love Chester Bennington. I know practically everything about him (disturbingly...ah, fangirl syndrome) Linkin Park is really cool. I think they really have an original sound. It's the first time I have heard of a successful sextet band, and a band with two frontmen. Keep up their good work, and I'll be their fangirl to the end.

2. What do you guys think about Gunslinger Girl, and what do you think of my situation?
Answer: First, thanx for the suggestions, guys. It's kinda a dark story, but I still like it. I gets kinda confusing if you don't start from the begging and work your way up. And I still think I'm gonna stick with my idea. Pino's a nice match for my OC, she's a bit more vocal, assertive, and a adrenaline junkie than him, but they share a common secret/dark life and respect it's danger. Plus, the first guy I was gonna pair her with is, after a lot of think, is now gonna be a bit of indirect rejection (unrequited love) as he thinks of her more as a friend.

Anyways, new questions:

Alright, sorry I wasn't posting for a while guys. My bad. Anyways, um... nothing much going on here. Except I was put as the set manager for our school play. So I'm in charge of set design, publicity (poster artwork), costuming, and other stuff that I can't remember. We're doing a modified version of "A Midsummer Night's Dream".

Let's see, what else. I've been going through my Linkin Park phase again for the second or third time. I've been watching LPTV (which is actually kinda amusing). As soon as I get done here I'm going to watch their music video for "Breaking the Habit". You know, why don't I just post it for today's video? It's done by Gonzo, which is a Japanese anime studio which animated Kiddy Grade, Afro Samurai, Black Cat, Transformers: Cybertron (a favorite of my brother), Basilisk, Trinity Blood, Chrono Crusade, Last Exile, Full Metal Panic!, and some others, just naming some popular ones (or at least ones I've heard of). The last part that shows the band was shot (live-action) and was later rotoscoped (basically animated by tracing each frame). It's pretty cool, check it out.



Anyways, I am so upset because my favorite character in the Gunlinger Girl manga, Pinocchio, has a very short lifespan. What I'm really upset about though is that I was waiting for over a year to see his final moments. For those of you who read the manga, I won't spoil his death. But the thing is, I just got the long awaited 4th volume, and find out that he doesn't die until the fifth volume! He wasn't even shown in the fourth. The good thing is that the fifth volume comes out sometime this month, but I can't wait!

Another thing about it is that I'm sure you have all heard about the second season of Gunslinger Girl in the making (and If you haven't...oh well). This is gonna take a look at the Pinocchio arc. I'm happy and upset about this. I'm happy because my favorite character is gonna be animated and I get to hear him and all of that. But I'm upset because it totally ruins my plans. My plan was to give Pinocchio a good size secondary character role in my story, and since he wasn't such a popular or well known character I could get away with this pretty easily without too much fuss. But now a lot more people's gonna know who he is. Oh well, I'm still gonna use him. He's to far into my planning stage to be replaced now.

Ok, well, enough of my ranting. I'll answer the questions from the last post.

1. Do you think My Chemical Romance is an emo (or even a sellout) band?
Answer: Not really, they're just different. I admit they're all a bit crazy, but it's cool. Besides, Gerard is obsessed with death, which doesn't actually equal emo.

2. Would you guys rather have me start on drawing a new background, or upload more fanart?
Answer: I think I'll do both, though the later will probably happen before the first.

3. How do you guys feel on friends lists?
Answer: I just hate people who sign your guestbook and not even visit you, but expect you to add them as your friend. I think this is because they also expect you to sign their guestbook in return, and gain popularity. Now, this might not be true for everyone, and I understand that. Yeah, it's cool to be well known, but myO isn't exactly a popularity contest. This isn't mySpace.

Alright, guess what? I finally got not one, but two pics scanned colored and uploaded. Well, they probably won't show up yet 'cause I just uploaded them, but keep checking back. I'll post again once it's completely uploaded. I'm actually very proud of them 'cause it was my first shot at shading and actually finishing computer coloring a pic. I still got a couple more drawn that needs to be colored. As for the new background, I haven't had a good spark of inspiration for it yet, so I'll have to get back to you guys on that another time.

So what's up with you guys? I changed the music again. (It's usually what I'm currently listening to.) Um... (let's see, what else) I'm all sore from soccer (or football, for some of you) practice. I'm training to be a goalkeeper for a team. A guy from Scotland and another from Britain trained me (as well as some other kids). It was fun, though. We had a scrimmage and my team lost by one penalty kick (it was a tied score so we went to PKs). But what can I say, I never blocked penalty kicks before. I also went to training to become and intermediate referee. And later I'll be going to a three day USSF course so I can eventually get paid.

Uh...I also been reading a new manga called Amazing_Agent Luna. It's pretty good, It's kinda a spy story and the out-of-place high school girl story. You'll eventually find some drawing errors in it though, like clothing inconsistency (such as someone will have a gun on their right hip, then it will switch to their left, then back to their right), and skew jaws. But for an American-made manga, it's has very clean art, a good story-line, and nice character designs. It makes use of chibis and bishies. (I gotta say though, that guy is hot. And Erin agrees, and that's rare 'cause she's usually not into those guys. But he is kinda my type. Sry, fangirl moment ^_^) However, it's tends to drift to the shojo division, but I think guys could read it too, if you don't mind a bit of a high school love story. Hey, it's gotta "ninja" action in it too.

I have made an important discovery!

Updates

Well, important to me. You see, as computer coloring (cell coloring, as I call it) most people have Photoshop. I have Paint Shop. So when I learn how to color things with online instructions, I have to adapt it to my program (which gets really hard sometimes). Before today, when I started coloring something, I couldn't close the program until I was done coloring completely, or else I would have to start all over again. You know how you make layers, and you have to choose multiply, blah, blah, blah? Well, if I save it, and then I try to color it later, whenever I choose multiply, it distorts all of the original colors. However, I just found a way to save the layers so it won't do that color distortion thing.

Does that make sense to any of you? Probably not. But the good news is, I can start cell coloring more of my pics, which means that I can get more uploaded.

The bad news? I have none finished yet. I'm working on concept art for my OCs, and I'm not gonna post the concept art any time soon. So... too bad.

I usually write about the two main characters from a light novel I am making that I hope will be published and turned into an anime someday. Please do not steal or copy any of my stories, drawings, original characters, or plot ideas (I'm really lenient with this one, so if you really want to use it just do something to make it distinctive) without my permission.

I do take requests for stories and artwork, but please remember they are only requests. Please go here to see things that you should keep in mind when placing a request. I also have a wide taste in music. I like hard rock, alternative rock, rapcore, and alternative and nu metal. Some of my favorite bands are Linkin Park, Papa Roach and My Chemical Romance.

Updates

Alrighty! How are you guys doing? If you havn't noticed, I changed my site music again. Unfortunatly, the song I really wanted on there wouldn't give me the full song on here, so, oh well (I'll get it on my site once I fix it). Instead, I'm gonna give you the video of the song. The song is called Less Talk More Rokk by Freezepop. But most know it from Guitar Hero II. Anyways, both video's have the same song. The first one is actually from Guitar Hero II (there's some cussing at the very end). The second are some funny avatars from Naruto (this one you can hear the singing more than the guitar, but personally I like the guitar's sound more than the singing). Those watching the first one, the left side of the screen is rythem guitar, and the right side is lead guitar.

I am not very good with love stories (drawings are okay), in my opinion. I can try though. I do not do nudity or strong sexual content (especially in drawings). I can do light sexual content, but it will be nothing more than barely PG-13. In short, no hentai but some ecchi.

I warn you, I'm no good with animals

Be specific in what you want or else what you don't mention is up to me.

What to put for a subject...

Hi everyone! Sorry for not bieng able to post like I said I would. I've been out of town for the last one and a half weeks. Anyways. I promise to get a couple of fanart posted by the next week. I'm also working on the new background.

Anyways, um..... Let's get an AMV i here. This is one of my friend's favorite songs: 45 by Shinedown. The funny thing is that she isn't too familiar on guns. She says her favorite gun is a 45 because of this song. However, she means a 45 'gun'. I keep telling her that it's not an actual gun, and that they mean a forty-five caliber, and that there are several guns for a forty-five caliber. But, she won't listen to me, so when people go asking for her favorite gun she sounds like an idiot. Anyway, her's the vid:



You guys like it? I thought it was okay; it wasn't one of my favorites.

Oh I got a question for you guys. I need a color for a guys eyes that are not blue, nor are they grey. It's kida in the middle and it's hard to tell if it's blue or grey. If you can give me a name or something, I'd really appreciate it. You can look here for a list of a lot of colors (not just blue or grey). Or you can do whatever you want, I don't care.

Hi guys. If your wondering about the subject, I was copying off Hiei. In volume 12 of the manga he goes "Comment? What for?" Anyways, no vid for today. I don't feel like looking.

As you can see, my site's been changed a bit. Does anyone know how to do layouts? 'Cause if you do, I would really like to know. I'm making a background for the site, anyways.

I'm starting to take requests. Refer to my introduction on stuffs about it. Or just go to the bottom of the page. I'm trying to make full color drawings from stuff in my scetchbook. 11 in total for the time bieng. Whether it will turn out good after it goes through my crappy scanner is unknown.
