Let me weave you a tale my Einherjar...

Status - Hungry
First, before my tale, a little lesson in Norse mythology.
Einherjar: (pronounced ayn-hair-y-ar) The souls of lost warriors recruited by Valkyries and taken to Valhalla to serve the gods. [This isn't the by-the-book definition, but the simpliest way to put it]
Now, to tell the tale:
[And to make it worth reading, it will be told like a story]
The day drew into dusk, as the sammich ninja stood over his laptop. Without warning, the door chimed. With fear that another of the lesser intellegent public had entered his workplace, he peeked around the corner. Twas only his co-worker, Andrew. Drew, as he was called, came around to the quiet workspace behind the counter, where Zappa resumed work on his computer. Drew, remembering that Zappa mentioned having pictures from the most recent convention, requested a moment to view said pictures. He took a moment from his work to open the folder where he stored the pictures of his friends, but still pondered why Drew cared, not being the slightest bit familliar with anime, outside the DBZ hype that had once been.
Drew was quick to reply to the first of pictures. By Zappa's orginization, the first four files began with AIW... his abbreviation for Alice In Wonderland. As Drew opened his mouth to speak, Zappa immiadetly knew his train of though, and smiled wryly. "Daaaaaammmn...". commented Drew, upon viewing the three ladies in the picture. "You know these girls?", he inquired.
Zappa smiled proudly, "Yup. And they live in S A." He spoke with confidence, knowing where the conversation was likely to go.
Drew, unaware of Zappa slight sence of precognition asked, "You talkin to any of them?"
Zappa knew what he meant, but went in another direction, "Yea, I talk to them a lot. Real close friends of mine."
"Say, can you hoo..."
Zappa quickly cut him off, his prediction fulfilled, "They're 15."
"Hell naw..."
"I can call them and have them confirm it."
"Naw naw... but damm...", as he gazed at the picture, seemingly in more detail. "They don't look that young. Especially that girl with the dress." And with that, Drew continued browsing the remainder of the convention pictures, only stopping to ask if the person in some pictures was in fact Zappa himself. Zappa was content, knowing that he had dissapointed someone through his use of innocence, and went on to ponder how to tell the tale later that evening.
And, my Einherjar, do you know what that picture was?

Status= Back on track, after reading some LJ posts.
Yeah... fuggin Photobucket is taking eons to load... *sigh*
Well, as far as the rest of the day...
And one of my TV's is seriously pissing me off. It's an old 70's something TV, with the dial to change channels. I use it for games. What it's doing, is although the display dials [color, tint, black level etc...] are perfectly set, the tint on the TV likes to be completely the opposite of what it's supposed to be. So, whenever I turn in on, I spend the next half hour or more smashing down and in the various knobs, trying to get the internal circuitry to respond to the settings it's supposed to be at.
It's just really annoying when Naruto has orange hair, green headband and eyes, and a peach colored jacket.
*MyO exclusive post*
Sethos-nee, are you aware of the concept of postage.
Letters usually take a 37c stamp to mail. But because of the bulk of yours, it cost more, 23c more.
Now... what's the matter you ask? You put a 3c stamp on it.
*pats your head* silly girl... you owe my mom 57c now v'v
And yes, my sisters and mother, you've been "hit on". Indirectly mind you, but hit on nontheless.
*end exclusive*
And I'm off to catch up on everyone elses MyO and LJ.
I hate Axl...

**Edit: Whilst walking by the TV in the living room, I caught a performance of a few elder gentlemen. Not my style of music, but observing the movments in thier fingers, whatever style it was, Bluegrass I believe, it was most impressive. Just watching thier fingers on thier instruments, was enough to hold my attention to the end of the song. | |
