todays gonna be a bad day...
today, in celebration of my baby half-sis's first birthday (thurs), my stepfather's brother's wedding anniversary (yesterday), and my stepfather's best friend's daughter's second birthday (sometime last week), we are going over to my stepfather's brother's house in chappaqua where we will celebrate all the abovementioned joyous occasions. present will be me, my brother, my sister, my half-sister, my maternal stepsister, my stepfather's father, my stepfather's father's girlfriend, my stepfather's brother, my stepfather's brother's wife, my stepfather's brother's two sons, my stepfather's sister, my stepfather's sister's husband, my stepfather's sister's daughter, my stepfather's best friend, my stepfather's best friend's wife, my stepfather's best friend's daughter, and of course my stepfather himself. (yesterday my mom's parents and her brother and her brother's wife and her brother's 1 1/2 year old daughter came over to celebrate zelda's birthday, thats why they're not coming today.)
now raise your hand if you understood all of that.
neway...whenever the 4 cousins (my stepfather's daughter, his nephews and neice) all get together, there is all havoc and invariable someone gets hurt. then the older siblings side with their kids and the adults get into a fight. its all a bit of a pain really. meanwhile us three nerd kids are trying to stay out of the whole thing. in the end my mom, who tires easily of arguments, decides its time to go because the bickering (among kids and adults) became intolerable and we leave with everyone in a bad mood. invariably, this happens. and we get to act it out again and again. *sigh* wish me luck everyone.
