well this is part one of a story i am writing. It will be an ongoing tale. Keep watch for more posts

Lee Chapter 1: meet john black As I continued skating along my ice path I was creating though the forest I couldn’t help but blame myself about my sister, melody’s disappearance after we left the others. So is my on-going mission. To help people to atone for my carelessness and to find my sister. Not necessarily in that order. I was still brooding in self loath when I heard cries of a grown man pleading against death…literally. I turned a corner to find a large man being crushed alive by a boulder at the base of a rocky hill pleading to a man in a black robe with a scythe held over his head. The cold bored gaze of those eyes chilled me, me the warrior wizard of the north wind. “Please, please! Why must you do this!” wept the poor man, his blood staining the dirt. “I truly am sorry. It’s my job.” a hint of painful angry regret jabbed at the cloaked mans eyes. The scythe fell, but no blood splattered the earth but a glowing orb was torn from the man’s body and was ripped asunder by the remaining mans bared hands by long sharp black talons. “STOP” I yelled running full tilt toward him, my spear gripped in my hand being covered in ice. I swung at him with the blunt end in order to knock him to the ground but the great scythe he held caught my spear with its blade “Listen… I don’t want to fight” the foreboding figure said. Ignoring his words I struck again and blasted his scythe arm with ice. A surprised look spread across his eyes as I swung the blunt eng around to his head. CRACK his hood fell and I saw his head had been twisted 180 degrees. The figure calmly cracked his head back into place and said “I so do detest it when that happens.” I pointed my spear’s head to his throat. “Bah put it away boy” he said as he stood up and those eerie black alone hands…or claws…shoved my spear away. I began to get really creeped out right about there. “What the hell are you” He then looked me in the eye, his long gray hair making him look much older than his face would say. “Allow me to introduce myself. John Black, grim reaper of souls and angel of death.” the robed reaper drew a business card from his cloak. John Black reaper, #5 netherworld grim reaper, underling of #1 grim reaper JOE BLACK. “ Oh please, like I believe in the grim reaper.” “Really?” he said with a sadistic grin. ____________________________________________________ John black Chapter 2: tag along with a nonbeliever Well let me tell you I really thought about rupturing his lungs right there. But I figured I instead took one long black talon and slowly made a long scratch through his ice armor and clothes and lightly into his flesh. It took but a moment for the power of death to seep into his lungs and cause spasms. For some reason the magic didn’t kill him only possible alternative is that his will to live was inconceivably powerful. He obviously had something to live for. “Interesting.” I remarked as the young man, I soon learned his name was Lee, retched on the ground in agony rather than dying. I released him of death’s grip. “Ok, so you’re the grim reaper!” the ice mage said. “One of thirteen actually” I said with a dull boredom. So we continued to converse and I let him know I was going to the great mountains of the weather fortress on holiday. “May I go with you!” the boy said ecstatically, “that seems like a likely place to find my sister!” “But of course.” I wasn’t about to say no to such a blind human will to find someone. I summoned my mighty black steed, “Twilight Dream” to my side and the mortal and I set off.
