I've discovered I really like sleeping till noon thirty.

So I'm just sitting here waiting for my da to get home and take me out to feed and listen to Quatre on my GW CD. I'm not sure why, but that song of his gives me the giggle fits.

My muse is awol. I have no scanner. I'm having FMA withdrawls. I'm gonna go watch Fruits Basket. In Japanese. Gotta find out just what it is about Kyo's japanese voice that DragonNova goes all melty about.

Oh, and I'm working on a second Pet Shop of Horrors fic, not really related to Definatives. It's called 'Flowers and Mr. Detective', but only the prologue is up yet. I don't know if its going to contain spoilers, it's more about D's father, but it was inspired by some things said in book ten...

Pet Shop of Horrors
I am... well... not proud... but anyway...

I have officially aquired all ten volumes of PSoH. This is the first manga I have completely collected. (I'm having trouble getting the three linier volumes of Gundam Wing.)

I suppose I have to go online for that... ARRRGH! Why is it so difficult to find Gundam Wing stuff?

Oh, yeah. And I started a new fic. Did I mention this in my last post? I'll have to go back and look. I'm sure I did.

Anyway, I decided I want to take a painting class when next semester. Ya' hear that DragonNova? You gotta teach me to paint!

And I have a question. I keep seeing online that people refer to D as some kind of japanese deity, or kami. Why is that? I don't remember the author calling him any sort of demigod anywhere in the series. It seemed to me the author left what he was delibrately vague.

Fanfiction! w0ot!
I just got the second chapter of my PSoH fic posted on ff(dot)net! Now I just have to start on the 3rd!
Of course it would be easier if I would stop reading fics and actually write something.
I have to go review DragonNova's new fma fics. Missing: White Gloves was hilarious! I can't wait to read the new one!

I'm also in the process of hammering out a Trigun fic documenting Vash and Knives childhood. It isn't going to be pretty. But hopefully it will be interesting. ^_^
What stinks is that I really really REALLY want to write a GW fic but I can't seem to find a plot. ARRRGH! But I did have this funny little idea for a conversation(coughargumentcough) between Dou and WuFei on the contradictions that define them. Hmm. Maybe I should make Difinitives a genre spanning saga... Difinitives:PSoH, Difinitives:GW etc...

And i think I'm going to break down and write a fic reguardung what D is exactly...or ambiguously... But I'm terrified. The Yaoi fans would probably tar and feather me... Buuuuut i might just go ahead anyway... And anyway, I owe Leon for tormenting him so much in the fic I'm writing now, I should probably torment D a little in the sequal... Flowers and Mr. Detective...

*cackles evilly* I'm so mean...

Life is tough borrowing cyberspace...
For some reason this computer won't let me leave comments on DragonNova's posts. -_-'

I want to see this phantom movie where Christine chooses the phantom! I didn't like the new phantom movie all that much. Christine was great, Raoul was excellent (that actor actually made me break down and _like_ Raoul which is a big thing for me) but the phantom looked too much like John Travolta. It was...what is the expression? 'Distinctly Off- Putting' It spoiled the mood of the whole movie. Not that the guy wasn't a good actor- he just wasn't a good Phantom.

And I got the greatest giggle the other day. A few nights ago Thugmarg came over and we watched Gremlins, and started laughing about the similarities between Gremlins and Pet Shop- creepy little shop in chinatown, the proprieter with odd colored eyes, the bizarre pet, the three rules you are never to break under any circumstances...

So then the next day we went to the mall and I was trying to pick up PSoH book 9 (which wasn't there... *glares suspisciously at DragonNova*) but wound up buying book one instead. Anyway, here's the punchline:

I opened it up, and on the FIRST PAGE this man is leaving with a box tucked under his arm, and repeating the three rules D has just given him: Do not take it into the light. Do not expose it to water. Do not feed it after midnight.
And then just a few pages later, when the Count recieves this phone call the guy is ranting about how they keep multiplying... And the little sihlouettes of the monters in the panel look an awful lot like angry Mogwais...

So, Thank You, Whoever wrote Gremlins, for quite possibly inspiring one of the coolest mangas ever!

Ohyea, and in case anyone cares, I found my contacts-so I'm not blind anymore! w0ot!

Concerning D and Aaya
No, 'Liss, I have not introduced her to Aaya. I was trying to brace her for him, but she couldn't get five minutes into Fruits basket without freaking over the Junnishi thing. I tried to explain that the translation was fuzzy and that it was based on the fable and not the zodiac (as there is no cat in the zodiac and there is a cat in the family) but she wouldn't listen. So. No Fruba for her. She doesn't like my drawings either. T.T

So, no, I don't let her read my manga. She isn't very good at bending her brain around strange cultures. And, comeone lets face it, anime is a very strange culture.


PS. Besides, she thought Generator Gawl was crass. And we watched in in Japanese.

Welcome to the Cosmic Blender that is my Life
Ok, so I've got one vote that... Aya can speak french, but is still faking it... How in character for him. I hadn't thought of that 'Liss, good point.
I've MOVED! Yay! well, we're still technically in the process of moving, but I just spent the second night in our new house last night...

Now, to unpack for moving in, repack for the trip to San Frisco this weekend, go, comeback, unpack, reorganize, repack and it's off to Vegas baby! Woooohooo.

Oh, wait a minute, I don't like Vegas... But i do love my dad, so I'm happy anyway.

I have officially broken down and become a PSoH fan... I wound up suckering my mom into buying me books 7 and 8... But she likes to hear what the stories are about, so fair is fair... But then she wanted to look at the pictures...>_< I'm smart, I packed them away before she could ask, so i didn't have to shock and horrify her (she thinks pokemon is innapropriently violent, and while I agree with the whole 'animal rights' aspect of hers...I'm still not letting her read PSoH...)... Even though it is totally supportave of animal rights... Heh. Yeah. Supportave of animal rights. That's a good tag to stick on it...

And Jovial Jones has bequeathed me with more Cure music. I swear I'm going to buy thier cds as soon as I actually FIND one in a store! So. the quote for the day is as follows:

A Moment of Quiet
Just got back from the Wind Festival. Monkey and Speed Racer are in the front yard having a water fight. ^_^ Except Monkey doesn't know how to tie water ballons... So I think he's got the hose...

I don't like Cities. Have I ever mentioned that? I mean, in theory, cities are great; unfortunantly, they always seem to come with pollution, noise, and too many PEOPLE!

But I did finally break down and buy a PSoH volume. Number seven, actually. At first I wasn't going to, because the cover was just well... (Anyone who has seen the cover of Pet Shop Of Horrors Volume Seven knows what I'm talking about...) But then I read the back and it was all the stories I'd heard about and really wanted to read! Specifically 'Diet'. I loved that one. Although... I think my favorite for this volume was the first one, 'Doom'. I liked that whole concept of weather or not you are a human dreaming you are a butterfly or a butterfly dreaming you are a human. Poor Leon.

Only 3 More books to go! Of course then I'll have to buy them...
I found rumor on Ebay that she might be continuing the series... I hope so, It's so simple, and yet so good, I can't imagine her running out of little ideas. I shall have to research this rumor... But it's hard enough finding stuff on the first ten, much less a book eleven that might not even exist...

Gomen. I would never actually say the words...

We got evicted, so we've been staying with friends who don't have internet, and with school having ended... I might not be around very often until we get into our new house and I get a net cable of my own. This means that I won't be posting anything (fanart/fics) for a few months. >_<

But while I'm here I might as well ramble for a while...

I discovered this cool show on Cartoon Network (which I usually can't stand)-and it isn't even anime! Really though, I don't think I'd watch anime on CN if you put a gun to my head. BUTCHERS! They destroyed Gundam Wing...and then they CANCELLED it! I don't care if it was five years ago, I'm still mad.

Anywho, this show is called Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends! w0ot! It rocks.

Ooh! And my friend gave me the official trailors to FFVIIAC, plus this cute little snippet that is Nabiki whining about english dubbing (in english) and talking about how Kanai got her Sailor Moon subtitled in exchange for some photos... ^_^

I like Nabiki. She's so...so...Ferenghi... Poor Ranma. Poor Kanai...Poor stupid clueless Kanai...

In a complete change of subject...

On a bright note, where we're moving to I can walk down to the bookstore so maybe I can get a job there!
Oyah. And I'm sure everyone who cares already knows, but Fruba Vol 9 is out, and Ayame's on the cover! I have to get it. GAAHCK! I have to get the whole series. >_<
