Stephen King
I had lots of free time yesterday because I got my homeword done supper fast. I got to do something that I was missing recently. Reading. When I was home I managed to find time to read at lest a page or two a day. I haven't gotten to read recently at all. So today I read from around 2 to 7:50 stopping at 5pm to go eat dinner.
I read the third volume of Chronicals of the Crused Sword, but then switched over to Stephen King's Pet Semetary. He's such an amazing writer. I know people citize him for coming up with weird ideas and a LOT of ideas, but he buts EFFORT into those ideas. He puts thought behind them and makes them work, and make you go: huh... wow, never thought of it like that.
And his character are AMAZING! In this book Louis is characterized so well. I think he is one of the best character writers out there. The way his characters think and act, so much more lifelike in his books than all others. I see myself realating to his characters SO easily.
Misery is my number one from him. Paul Sheldon reminds me too much about the way my own mind thinks. Then again, Pet Semetary is SO good too. Louis Crandel is so real to me, like he's in the dorm across from me... except in reality that's the girls bathroom...
I find Per Semetary to be a sader book than Misery. Misery had Paul working so hard to live, he wanted life and was working so hard to escape his situation so he could live. However, Pet Semetary main's focus is death itself. It's so much sadder than Misery.
He's such a GREAT author! I hope one day I could even be half, no... even 10% as good as he is. I really idoliz him, I want to be like him... but not like him. I want to be as great as he is, but I want to do it in my own way.
So good... damn it... why'd I pass up all those 10cent books of his at that garage sale?!?!?! -_-;; I thought I would never get around to reading them all... damn it... I'm so stupid sometimes. HOW COULD I HAVE PUT DOWN COGU, CARRIE, CHIRSTINE, THE DEAD ZONE AND... AND... AND...UGH!!!!! HOW!!! Agh..
