Atlantic Dance Festival!!!!
Hi everyone! Guess what?!?! You know the dance festival I was talking to you about 2 posts earlier? Well, I did a fantastic job!!!! Here's how it went, I'll tell you everything from the beginning.
It was Canada Day(July 1st) and my family was getting ready to go to the dance festival which was an half an hour away from where I lived. I packed everything from make-up to clothes to jewellry. Finally we were set to go! My bro, my mom, my dad and I settled into our car for the 30 min trip there. The place we were headed to was on an island and the people there were totally french. But still it went really well. Once we got to the island, my mom remembered that she forgot to pack the brochure which held all the info for the dance festival! My dad was like, really furious! My parents were actually thinking of going back home!!! I couldn't believe all that I practised for was for nothing!!!! So I did the only thing I could do-- I prayed. I prayed for finding that place where I could have been dancing. And guess what? I guessed it sort of helped cause, pretty soon, my mom saw this huge tent lined up a little up ahead and when we headed up there, there was this huge sign that said: Atlantic Dance Festival!!!!!!! Man, was I ever proud!! ^_^ I was so past happy! So my dad parked the car and we got out to find the main entrance. That part wasn't too hard cause there was another sign which said "Welcome all Participants!" over a door. So we all stepped in, and we saw my mom's friend who also came because her daughter who's 7 years old,was also going to be taking part in this grand event. So she took me and my mom by the arm and led us into the changing room where I was gonna change into my gorgeus pink and blue dress. My bro and dad on the other hand went to find some seats in the auditorium. So I hurridly put on my dress, put on the jewellery, and applied on my make-up. Then with my aunt, her young daughter, and my mom, we all went backstage. My mom's friends daughter went on first, then this French group then it was me!! I was soooo excited!!! Nehal(my mom's friends daughter), did a great job! She looked really cute too! ^_^ After her, the French group went on, they were pretty good too. Then, it was my turn!!!!! So I walked on stage and waited for the cue for my music to start. Thankfully, my cd worked! Usually they don't thats why. So the music started and I started to dance! It was so magical! When I dance I feel as if I'm in heaven really! And the audience was great too! Finally my dance came to an end and I got a huge applause!! I got off stage and then there were people everywhere saying how wonderful I was!! And after all that, Nehal and I got 25 dollars for just participating!!! We didn't stick around too much after that to watch the other performers, so instead Nehals family and my family went to the beach they had right next to the whole event. The rest of the day was just perfect! We all ate at the nearby restaurant, got our faces painted and had so much fun! It was plainly a wonderful day. The dance festival was a real success!
So you see, I had a great time. And you know what guys? in the evening when we got back, there were also Fireworks cause it was Canada Day!! So on top of the Dance Festival, there was even a Fireworks display! Well, I think I just beat my record for the longest post too! ^_^ So bye for now! ^_^
