Last Day of Work
Today is my last day working on Capitol Hill. I plan to come back and visit everyone in the office. I finally got my phone fixed, well sort of. Since my warrenty doesn't expire until tomorrow I'm getting a new phone just like the one I have shipped to me for free. Then I have to turn in my broken one so I don't have to pay $50. I hope that when I turn my old one in the people can get my numbers off of it since my screen isn't working.

Power's Back!
My office finally has full power back! One of the other office buildings in now with minimal power, but I have AC again! Now my cell phone is broken. I have no screen but my caller id on the outside of my phone works.

Ugg
Well, the power is still minimal in my office building, and another has no power at all still. It gets really hot in the office without AC or any windows to open. I've already gotten a migrane and I hope the power problem gets fixed soon. If not, I only have two more days in the office.

Power Outages
Hehe... It seems the Capitol is having power outages and I'm getting off work early today! Now that its after 3pm I doubt I'll be getting off work early... I don't understand how the power was fine in the 110 degree weather, and the power is struggling in normal weather.

So tired
At the peach festival we ended up selling around $12,000 worth of peaches. And boy am I tired... My legs hurt so much from running peaches all over the place and I can't wait to get back home and take a nap after work.

Hmm
TGIF! Well, sort of... its friday and I don't have to go to work for two days. But, I have to go to my grandparents' farm to help with the annual Peach Festival they take part in. I'm not real excited to be placed into the pessimism that is farm life. Only eight more days until my birthday!

Stuff
Yesterday I went to the Pentagon for a tour with the other interns in the office. It was fun, I had gone on a Pentagon tour before 9/11 and I just wanted to see if anything changed. We went to alot of places I didn't go before 9/11, most notably the 9/11 memorial inside the Pentagon. We even went in the park area in the middle of the Pentagon. Since my dad works in the Pentagon I met him for lunch, at 10:30am. Besides that all I did was go to work and do nothing... Only three more weeks for me until school starts. A part of me wants school to start so I can see my friends, and then the part of me that hates schoolwork doesn't want school to start.

Ok...
Well I got sick last Thursday and I've pretty much been out of it ever since. I was able to go to a lecture by Senator John McCain on Thursday before I got sick. He was pretty funny and talked more than I expected about his 7 years being a POW during the Vietnam conflict. He cracked a few jokes about his "7 second" appearances on a few movies and TV shows. He touched on a few political issues as well, taking the more moderate approach (which in itself isn't bad). I'm sure it will be interesting if he plans to run for President in 2008, but we'll just have to wait and see.

Bored at work again...
Well, I've started playing Adventure Quest at work since I've got nothing to do. I hope I'll have some fun stuff to do soon.

Stuff
Well, it seems that today is the last day that Congress will be in session while I'm an intern. Hurray for no more suits, but I don't know what to do in the office without legislation to track. I went to the New Zealand Embassy yesterday and got to look around. They had very beautiful plants and trees on the grounds, including an indoor rainforest. We then had tea and I got some cucumber sandwiches, scones, sausage rolls, and quiche. At the end we even got some goodie bags with and American/New Zealand flag together along with some candy. I know I've been bad about drawing some for stuff... I have no clue when I'll get back to that now. Hopefully I'll start drawing again when I take my art class sometime in the future.
