   Iraqi Prime Minister
Yesterday morning I got to work only to find out that the lecture I was going to attend that Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld would be at was cancelled. Then I was told to pick a number between 1 and 20 (I picked 4 for now real reason) and I fought out I won the office ticket to sit in the gallery in the House chambers while the Iraqi Prime Minster was addressing Congress. It was really fun, even though I didn't get to see the Prime Minister since my seat was right above the speaker's chair so I could only get a good look at everyone sitting of the Floor of the House. I did get a good look at the protester wearing a pink T-shirt that read "Troops Home Now" and I got to clearly hear her say "Iraqis support, get out now" while she was being escorted out by police. All in all it was a fun experience and it was cool to have to wear the headsets to hear the translation of the Prime Minister's speech (since he doesn't speak English). This afternoon I will hopefully be going to the New Zealand Embassy for "traditional afternoon tea," that is if the other two interns in my office go as well.
