"Here by my side, an angel/
Here by my side, the devil/
Never turn your back on me/
Never turn your back on me, again/
Here by my side, it’s heaven..." -Matthew Good (Weapon)

Lame.. I called in sick to work today.. I mentioned briefly yesterday that my back was killing me. It still is today. Just a little pinchy spot at the base of the spine. Very annoying. Anyways, my bitchy supervisor was snarky at me on the phone, as usual. Ya know, sorry to be an inconvenience and all.. but I call in sick maybe once a YEAR.. if that.. So anyways, hopefully it'll be all better by the end of tomorrow.

Before I forget...

   "California, rest in peace/
Simultaneous release/
California, show your teeth/
She's my priestess, I'm your priest, yeah, yeah..." -Red Hot Chili Peppers (Dani California)

Dammit, that was the most ridiculous amount of work I've ever had to go through to get one stinking piece of paper. I finally had to get my taxes over and done with, (yes, I'm a late filer.. blah) and I had the absolute worst time getting ahold of my T2202A slip. The one that shows that I've paid the University thousands of dollars.. I usually get it online, but this year I couldn't access it for some reason. I went over to the U on my way home today and the lady said that there HAD been a hold on my account for *cough* late payments.. but now it was gone. I STILL couldn't get it. I called back to see if they could just print one off for me, but she was like, "no, only YOU can do that.." Dammit, what did they do beFORE the internet?! Hmm?!

So. I went BACK to the U to see if I could get it on the library computers. Library = closed. Computer LABS = closed. Email stations = open but can't print from them. So. I had to take a screencap of my damn T2202A and Email it to mySELF. Take THAT technology... At the end of it, I hopfully will get a refund.. I deserve one.

In other news, my back is killing me. and I was confused, then not, then recent developments have caused re-confusion. Which means I have to think about stuff.. Lame.. The new Music Vid up top is KILLER. Give 'er a watch if you have time.

Lame one-liner #45: I just let my mind wander and it didn't come back... Sounds just like me..

No song...
I apologize for not getting around to any sites today. Haven't been feeling great, but hopefully am not catching whatever the rest of the fam had. Ew. Been confused again too. As result of.. well.. dosen't really matter, I guess. What's causing the confusion should probably be told about this, but I don't know how to say it. It's one of those infrequent times when words fail me altogether. I realize that this is a real "pity me" post, but meh. So anyways, that's about it. And I wouldn't want to deprive you all of Lame one-liner #44: (I'm skipping 43 because it's too religiousey and not funny) #44: I don't find it hard to meet expenses. They're everywhere. Happy weekend, gang.

   "But since you been gone/
I can breathe for the first time/
I'm so moving on/
Yeah, yeah/
Thanks to you/
Now I get, I get what I want/
Since you been gone..." -Kelly Clarkson (Since U Been Gone)

I think Kelly Clarkson is one of the few female singers I might actually like. I saw her perform this song live for some award show, and it quite kicked!

Kind of a stupid day today. Went to work and was exhausted. I don't really know why. When break time finally rolled around, I was starving and needed to get some caffeine in me. So I bought a spring roll and went upstairs to sit around for 15 minutes. I take one bite of the deliciousness and then, bleh, my nose starts gushing blood... AGAIN! Somebody cauterize me? I took a short cut through the offices to the bathroom. New boss asked me who punched me. Ha ha.

The good news is that it only bled for fifteen minutes or so. Wasn't THAT a nice waste of a break? Yeah. In any case I made it back downstairs in time to see cute Coke guy come through the door. I stared, but he didn't look at me. I guess he was on a mission. Either that or I wasn't staring hard enough. I didn't see him leave either. Oh well..

Dunn dunn dunnnnnn dun dun dunnn... Tiem for Lame one-liner #42: Dyslexics of the world, untie! Hehehehehe.. that was a good one. Happy Friday, kids!

"If you think it's easy doin' one night stands/
Try playin' in a rock roll band/
It's a long way to the top/
If you wanna rock 'n' roll..."-AC/DC (It's a Long Way To The Top)

The Smackintosh rots. Moreover, my mother gets very angry when I move the keyboard closer. I mean supremely angry. I think she's overreacting and when I tell her so, she gets angrier.

"When the truth is found to be lies/
And all the joy within you dies/
Don't you want somebody to love/
Don't you need somebody to love/
Wouldn't you love somebody to love/
You better find somebody to love..." -Jefferson Airplane (Somebody To Love)

Settle in kids, I think it might be a long one..

I had a very productive Monday. I've been meaning to do a closet purge for months now, and I finally got around to doing it today. I threw out a big garbage bag full of crap. Including my Pleasant Company catalogues which I've been saving for ten years. Who knows why. I also finally tossed my lucky pig socks. (what?) They were socks that had pigs on them. All throughout first and second year Uni, I'd wear them for tests. I was slightly superstitious like that.. But they were getting holey.. I've got a pile of stuff to go to Catholic Charities, and a pile of stuff to wash and put away. Feels so good to finally be organized though. More or less, that is..

Later on I was messing around with the University website. My University email account is about to expire so I'll have to phone them tomorrow and tell them that I'll actually be registering for some courses in the fall. I also need to find out if I need to re-apply, since the web registration thing told me that I have no assigned registration dates. What a pain in the ass.. If I knew I was going to have to re-apply every time I take a little time off.. dammit.. But anyways, hopefully, come September, I'll be taking Business Ethics, a Philosophy about Peace and Conflict, the second part of History of Rock and Roll, and either Introductory Hebrew or Japanese. There's a Language requirement.. Soooo.. heheheheh.... Ehhhhhh... It's either this or scrap all thirty courses I've taken and start a new program... New Media sounds interesting..

Anywho, Prison Break recap/spoiler: John is back, and apparantly he's evil?

Lame one-liner #39: Is too lame. We shall skip and move onto Lame one-liner #40: Nothing is fool proof to a sufficiently talented fool.

   "I had this dream where I relished/
The fray and the screaming that filled my head all day/
It was as though I'd been spit there, settled in, into a pocket/
Of a lighthouse off some rocky socket/
Off the coast of France, Dear..." -The Tragically Hip (Nautical Disaster)

Well, it's all over. The Fam is home now. I quite enjoyed having a week to myself. Although it did get a little bit lonely at the end here, when not even my sister was around. Even though she was super mad at me.. XD I told my parents the story of WHY she was so mad, and they both burst out laughing, and really, it IS pretty funny, just not the whole fighting the morning after part..

My pillow fell on the floor sometime in the night. When I woke up and picked it up, it was covered in dog hair, so I had to wash it.. again.. Then I vacuumed. I wish my pets would tolerate being vacuumed themselves, but no such luck..

So. You may have noticed I've moved things around on here.. My banners are now at the bottom. In their place up top, is now an Our Lady Peace Music Vid. Clearly taken from the Muchmusic Countdown at a point where it was number 27, because it was brand new. If you've got time and a fast-ish connection, give it a watch. It's very cool, what with the glass smashing and the falling sideways and all.. My motivation for putting it up mostly came from the fact that people know OF OLP, but don't know any of their stuff. In my opinion, they're one of Canada's best rock bands. Taking a backseat only to The Tragically Hip. *shakes fist* I will educate you if it kills me!

Lame one-liner #38: Eat right. Stay fit. Die anyways.

"And I'll be waving my hand/
Watching you drown/
Watching you scream/
No ones around..." -Our Lady Peace (Clumsy)

Does anyone besides me and Sitarose know of Our Lady Peace? They're Canadian but I hear they have a pretty solid American fan base..

I think I'll be staring at the cute Coke rep mostly for weirdness sake, but I can't stare without smiling, so it might be taken for flirting. We'll have to see. They sent a different (not quite as cute) rep over today so I didn't have the chance to try it out..

Since my family is away I've been sleeping in my parents room. Their bed is the most uncomfortable thing ever. You know in anime where the character is sleeping diagonally across the bed, arms and legs out at odd angles, looking particularly uncomfortable? That's me. Owww... Dosen't help that the cat wants to sleep right in the middle, so I have to sleep AROUND him..

I think I'm going to make a CD comprised of all the songs I've used as post titles. Kind of like "a day in the life". Probably more like a dozen CDs.. But it could be a cool project. Kind of like Kevin's Seven Deadly Sins CDs.. Heheh..

*cough* MySpace is lame.

Lame One-liner #37: I wonder how much deeper the ocean would be without sponges... *gasp-eth* No Spongebob?! I don't think I want to find out! Heheheh..

"Slow down, you move too fast/
You gotta make the morning last/
Just kickin' down the cobblestones/
Lookin' for fun and/
Feelin' groovy..." -Jim's Big Ego (Feelin' Groovy)

Got in a fight with my sister this morning. I guess it started last night, really. And I guess I was the one that started it. But I was also the one that finished it this morning. And not in a very nice way.. Then while I was at work, she left town for another dance competition..

Anyways, she was mad at me last night when she went to bed. And it was about three in the morning when I heard her open her bedroom door, toss the cat out and then close the door again. He was trying to yak up a furball. So rather than stick a newspaper under him or something to, you know, catch the barf (barf is a great word..) she did nothing. So I sat bolt upright and got up and ran for the cat to, you know, avoid the barf. He stopped without bringing it up, so I went back to bed.. No sign of barf anywhere this morning..

My cats are about ten years old. They still chase their own tails..

And the Coke rep that was at the store to build the new display was very cute. I think I might start staring at him randomly. And if he notices... I'm going to keep staring...

Lame one-liner #36: If at first you don't succeed, destroy all evidence that you tried. Done and done...

"You have so many relationships in this life/
But only one or two will last/
You go through all the pain and strife/
Then you turn your back and they’re gone so fast/
Oh yeah, they’re gone so fast..." -Hanson (Mmmbop)

*cough*...*looks around* Well, there goes everyone's respect for my taste in music.. Heheh..

We had to fire a chick today. She actually took it pretty well, I guess. Made it seem like she was okay with it since she was planning on quitting soon anyways. Maybe... maybe not.. who knows for sure.. She was nice though. I didn't want to throw eggs at her, but she was only available to work two days a week, between noon and 8pm. That just makes you a waste of space in a place like this..

For Sita: City and Colour is Dallas Green's band. Dallas Green is also the singer for Alexisonfire. *thumbs up* Next time you've got your Lime on, try Save Your Scissors. It's a gooder.

For Hinaru: Vonage is an internet phone service. You hook the phone up to the broadband connection. The commercials are annoying and use that song from Kill Bill (I believe it's called "Wohoo" by the 5,6,7,8's).

For Zappa: If by 'talked' you mean got three sentences out, then yes. I 'talked' to him. Closure? Not by any means. *sigh* Back to the drawing board..

And that would be the end of that. Time for.. lame one-liner #35: DNA: National Dyslexic Association. Bah hah!
