   "You're driving/
It's rush hour/
The cars on the freeway are moving backwards/
Into a wall of fire/
Backwards/
Into a wall of fire..." -Matthew Good (Strange Days)

What the heck is the matter with the PM system around here?! I just received copy of a message that was sent back in November, from when Sita came down to visit. Tres weird...

Anyways.. I haven't really had much to say lately.. Threw a party on Saturday night. It went over really well, except for I forgot to bring out the cake. So now I'm stuck with it. Well, at least it's a good kind. I'll shove it in the freezer, it'll be fine. And I'm thinking that Malibu has next to no alcohol content. I polished off a 26 on my own and.. nothing. Not dizzy, not sick, just.. nothing. Probably better that way, but when you're drinking for a purpose, you expect a nice buzz..

And we revived an old, old, OLD party game. It's called "What If" and it's a LOT of fun. Everyone gets a piece of paper and a pen. Everyone writes down a question beginning with "What if". Everyone passes their paper to the next person in the circle. Then you write a legitimate answer to the question on the paper that you have just recieved. Then, the first person reads the question that they have just answered. Then the NEXT person reads their ANSWER. Everyone has a good laugh, then that person reads their question and the NEXT person reads their ANSWER. Questions can be as innocent or as dirty as you like. Hilarity ensues. We used to play that game for hours at sleepovers and stuff like that. How I have missed it...

Time again for.. Yep, you guessed it.. Lame one-liner #7: It's lonely at the top; but you DO eat beter. Boooo.... hissss.... Happy Monday kids!

"Breaking the exit/
I'm breaking my neck/
I'm breaking over you/
Break in the airwaves yeah/
Calling out to you..." -54:40 (Love You All)

Had a headache for the better part of the evening. I stayed up late on Thursday night watching Snatch. That is a great movie. I love a good movie about a heist. Ironically, the movie "Heist" wasn't that great as I recall...

Anyways, got up, went to work, left on time but got dirty looks from supervisor who thought I was leaving early, but she just can't make a decent schedule. Or make one with any degree of consistency. So, whatever.

Anywho.. SuperCon has been at it again.

SuperCon!: (to Roy Batty) Hey you!
Roy Batty: I gotta take a shit. To be continued.
SuperCon!: Do you have to do it now?
Roy Batty: Most definitely. Whoops.

Yeeeeessss..... *looks around* I don't even want to know how that convo came into existence. Have a good one guys and girls. Saturday night goes off without a hitch... or else...

"Movin’ to the country I’m gonna eat a lot of peaches/
Peaches come from a can/
They were put there by a man/
In a factory downtown/
If I had my little way/
I’d eat peaches everyday..." -Presidents of the USA (Peaches)

Just another day.

Lame one-liner #6: Never answer an anonymous letter. Well, durh..

"Well, maybe I'll call/
Or write you a letter/
Now, maybe we'll see on the Fourth of July/
But I'm not too sure, and I'm not too proud/
Well, I'm not too sure and I'm not too proud to say..." -Better Than Ezra (Good)

Yeah, I know I used it not too long ago, but it actually means something to me today..

Straight from the LJ..

I hate how you think that you've become close to someone, and developed a "history" with that person.. You can talk to them nearly every day and then it's as if they've just dropped off the face of the earth, and you rarely hear from them again. When you DO happen to hear from them, all they have to say is, "man, I miss talking to you." Well really? What in hell is stopping you from doing so? I'm still around.. YOU'RE the one who's impossible to track down, so don't give me that shit.

I suppose I feel kind of.. forgotten... and abandoned.. by someone I thought would never do that to me. What makes ME so forgettable? But people change, I guess. So maybe I'm thinking more highly of myself than I deserve to. I've considered that I might be being a complete hypocrite. Not like I've never "forgotten" anyone, right? People lose touch over so much time. That's normal. It's when ya just go cold turkey on me that I start to wonder what I did wrong..

Anyways.. I think it is once again time to purge my various friends lists. They seem to just get shorter these days, instead of longer... We may even need to revise the "keepers" list, Sita... And that is a very sad thing.

Anyways.. Happy birthday to Kevin. Guess what I got you, dude? Yep.. Lame one-liner #5. I didn't fight my way to the top of the food chain to be a vegetarian! Heh.. that one wasn't that bad...

"Go ahead as you waste your days with thinking/
When you fall everyone stands/
Another day and you've had your fill of sinking/
With the life held in your/
Hands are shaking cold/
These hands are meant to hold..." -The All American Rejects (Move Along)

Thanks for the input yesterday guys. I'm just going to let it go, like you've suggested. I'm keeping my eye on it though...

I think I've gone braindead. I can't think of any more words.

Lame One-liner #4. Lottery: A tax on people who are bad at math.

Boooo....

"Looking back on the chapters of your life/
Searching for the storyline/
‘Cuz the one you live now’s doing nothing for you/
Say goodbye to your friends and the ones who love you/
Movin’ on..." -Matt Mays and El Torpedo (Cocaine Cowgirl)

Alright, I'm a little annoyed tonight.. (so, what else is new, eh?) But it could be for no reason at all, which is why I want to consult you guys first. I was picking through the fanart earlier and some guy did a piece from Trigun, (See it here.)
obviously from the same reference that I used for mine a while back. Here's mine. Now.. The question here is.. do YOU think he more or less traced mine? I messed with a photo program and superimposed his on top of mine. Because I'm a little anal about this. The eye, the arm of the glasses above the ear, and the lens of the glasses on the far right all match up quite nicely, don't they? Other parts do as well if you turn the images slightly. NOT TO MENTION that HIS drawing is incomplete and cuts the nose AND the glasses off. I did that because I ran out of space. He's got plenty left, so why leave it unfinished?

I am in doubt about whether or not to report it as traced since they DON'T match up exactly. Can I have everyone's oh-so-professional opinions please? Ace? Lindsey? I'm not asking anyone to do my dirty work for me, I just want to know if I'm right to be mad about this. Thanks a bunch guys and girls!

Aaaand... Lame One-liner #3. Time is what keeps things from happening all at once.

I guess that makes sense.. Merry Sunday.

"Oh my God!-- I woke up with a snake tattoo/
Oh my God!-- and I think that my tongue's pierced too/
Oh my God!-- Oh my God!/
It's the Sunday morning after/
And baby, who the hell are you?..." -Amanda Marshall (Sunday Morning After)

Okay, so I went to work today, prepared to be there for 8 hours since that was what I was scheduled for. When I get there, it appears that they realized that they had made a mistake and I was only supposed to work 5. According to my lovely union contract, they have to give 24 hours notice if they're going to mess with my shifts. They didn't, so I said, "nu-uh.. I'll be taking my extra three hours pay, thanks." Apparantly I was just supposed to KNOW that they had made a mistake and when I asked, "well how am I supposed to know that?" my supervisor thought I was giving her attitude and back-sass so she got snippy with me. Heh.. I admit, I was being a bit of a bag about it, but really.. For crying out loud people.. figure it out already!

So halfway through, I had to deal with a couple of disciplinary meetings. I was a little upset at the dates that were recorded on the paperwork. They were from back in February.. After a bunch of discussion with new boss, we eventually hashed out that it had been put off for so long because of holidays and junk like that.. so I went ahead and had these guys sign their warnings. So hopefully it'll all be okay. The one guy is going to threaten to file a greivance because they keep ignoring his availability and trying to make him work when he has to go to class. *snicker* Sometimes, threatening to file is as good as actually filing..

So. Lame One-liner #2. Only borrow money from pessimists - They don't expect it back.

Boooo... hissss....Happy Weekend!

"Just one guitar, slung way down low"
Was a one way ticket, only one way to go/
So he started rockin’/
Ain’t never gonna stop/
Gotta keep on rockin’..." -Foreigner (JukeBox Hero)

Kay. So I've learned something here.. And that thing is, that people LIKE Weiss Kreuz! But you'd never know it from the sorry amount of traffic that TheOtaku's Weiss hub gets and the negligeable amount of fanart that is produced for it. Yet, I go and make a single Weiss wallpaper and it alone gets almost more downloads than my two others combined, in perhaps a quarter of the time. It was also surprising to me that my Omi drawing from WAY back in the day, is my most popular piece of art. It's insane... Maybe it's like a guilty pleasure or something... People are embarrassed to admit that they love an anime with such terrible animation..

Anyways.. today.. am annoyed by... spiders. I made an agreement with one earlier this week since he was pretty small. If he stayed in the corner, I'd let him live. I warned him that if he moved from the corner he would get stomped. He violated the peace treaty. Therefore he was doomed to face the wrath of... the sole of my shoe. (You thought I was going to say 'Con' didn't you? Well, HA!) It was kind of sad. I had even gone so far as to name him Elvis. Sorry ladies and gentlemen.. Elvis has left the building...

Anywho...
Lame one liner #1. Ninety-nine percent of lawyers give the rest a bad name.

My apologies for that.. I didn't write 'em... Happy Friday!

   "I know I'm into you/
I don't know what to do/
When we talk I feel like I've died twice/
Boxers use their fists/
Hockey players break their wrists/
You break my heart when you try to play nice..." -Scissor Sisters (Better Luck)

My sister is avoiding this friend of hers. And I don't really get why. This girl is funny and cool and she dosen't come home to visit very often so when she does, you'd think that my sister would WANT to spend some time with her. But no. So I think I'm just going to be friends with her instead. And when my sister gets all jealous that I'm "stealing her friends" I'll be like "No, you had your chance, she's MY friend now!" HA!

The work situation is not much better today. No Visa girl is off the schedule and her shifts have all been given away. *eye roll* The lady who does the training is getting very tired of training a new person every other week. Because that's what it has come to. I sat upstairs in the coffee room and we bitched about it together for a good fifteen minutes. I wasn't even working today. I went in there to buy lettuce. *shrugs* I'm mostly just annoyed that new boss isn't even OUTRIGHT violating the collective agreement, so theres nothing for me to grieve. He's just making oh-so-stupid choices that make everyone's jobs a lot more difficult. I don't know how to make him see that without offending him. I might just have to do it anyways...

On the bright side.. In one of the storage drawers at work, I found a booklet of one-liners. I stole it. They are somewhat entertaining, so I may delight you all with a one liner at the and of future posts. Heh.. After reading all of my complaining, you most certainly deserve a reward! Merry Thursday!
